No date mentioned on the email unfortunately! Can't see any dates on the website either - at a guess, it probably runs out on Easter Monday if it's an Easter promo :D

Hello louiselouise, thanks for sharing, I don't suppose the email mentioned an expiry date? :)

I've been hanging off for a good deal on the 4000 but as it's for wood carving mostly - thanks to the comments on here I've just saved myself 50+ quid :) Thanks

Can anyone give an opinion on how this compares to the Black & Deck rotary tool here:http://www.amazon.co.uk/BLACK-DECKER-RT650KA-Rotary-accessories/dp/B0001OZHF8
I missed the deal on this for £27 or so on Amazon the other day, but this looks like a good alternative? I need it for craft stuff with wood for the most part, but don't want to buy the Dremel if it's not up to the occasional bit of heavier work.
I read "90 watt" and didn't bother with the rest.

Does anyone know the difference between the 3000 and the 4000 is the 4000 worth the extra money?

More parts with the 4000 and the motor has a higher wattage (175 vs 130). I'd suggest the 4000 is more suitable for applications with metal, if you are working with wood cant see why the 3000 wouldnt be enough.

what do you want to do with it. that will determine diffrence.

i bought a 3000 at short notice to cut a fixing bolt off of a childrens trike i had put together wrong on christmas eve. since then ive used it for lots of unexpected things including drilling pilot holes , and cutting off old screws from a garden gate i was reusing. Proper 30 year old good quality steel...each screw went through a full ceramic disc but i got them cut off.

Air con is not needed at all, it can be nice on the rare occasion of a hot day. But those stupid complex climate control systems are just more likely to go wrong, plus you need to get them gassed and serviced etc. And it is a pain to cycle through all the settings for each side of the car when all you want is a simple wheel to set it to clear the window. My current car has that annoying system, I much prefer the old simple system of my old 1993 k11 Micra :).
This deal is HOT for a new car, and one that should be pretty reliable and cheap to fix. No it is not class leading like the K11 was in it's day, but who cares.
You obviously need some climate control usage lessons. Find the setting that you find comfortable and use it all year around no further need to reset unless the wife besides you wants hotter or colder, but just a simple dial change and most will not really require to much service. Mine ran for 3 and a half years without being re-gassed before I sold it.
I know how to use it perfectly and I don't have a wife so that ain't a problem.
Same all year round? Do you not have seasons where you live?.
The problem is sometimes I want it at 32 degrees, some times at 21 degrees, sometimes I want it purely directed at the window, some times I want it at the window and my feet. Then sometimes I want the fan speed low, sometimes medium or sometimes high. Sometimes I want recirculating mode on, sometimes I want A/C on or ECO mode on.
It's just an overly complicated procedure that requires several clicks of buttons to get right if I wish to change it, and it's the same in every vehicle with climate control that I have tried. I much prefer the easy and intuitive old fashioned wheels and knobs that you can easily and quickly turn to the desired setting. Plus when dual zone climate control develops a fault it's usually a massive and costly job to sort out.
When the heater blower on my old K11 Micra stopped letting me choose anything but high fan speed all I had to do was remove the heater resistor card and put a bit of solder on it.
Sounds like you've had some bad experiences with dual zone cars. Try an Alfa (within the past 5 years) still has the "old wheels/knobs/buttons" easy to use if you don't wish for the auto mode. But I do know where you are coming from, some of my friends cars are seriously difficult to set outside of the "auto" modes whilst you are driving to drive. If it goes wrong well that's what a warranty is for and never yet had I had any issues (and that's with two Alfa's!)
Auto mode doesn't cut it for me, I am very fussy and it never seems to work how I want it to, your system sounds good, what model have you got?. I love Alfa's, I regularly lust over 166's, GT, GTV, Spider's on auto trader, especially the V6 Busso models which are becoming rare beast's these days. I am likely to get one at some point in the future, as they just have that graceful charm that is lacking on other marque's. As for Alfa's in the last 5 years, well I couldn't afford such a thing and finance deals aren't for me, but the new Giulia with RWD should be wonderful and I hope they make an MX5 rival.
Its a new Giulietta QV though my last Giulietta also had the same system. The MX5 that they produced with Mazda is going to be badged under the Fiat as they've came out now and said that no Alfa will ever be made outside of Italy so will not put the Alfa badge on the new MX5 variant. Really the giulietta's are not that expensive sitting in same price bracket as most others of the size but very well spec'd.
Ooh thats very nice, I didn't realise the QV designation meant essentially meant "cloverleaf". Maybe a choice in 10 years time for me :). The future is starting to look good again for Alfa, with them returning to the USA market, I just hope they don't go down the route of just re badging Chrysler's. I didn't know that about the MX5 variant, I guess Fiat are looking to bring back the "Barchetta", I wish they would make a new "Coupe". I'm getting tired of Fiat's over reliance on the "500" cars these days.

Fortunately they have came out and said no Alfa will ever be built outside of Italy so at least means no plans of rebranding. They have said they do not wish to "dilute" the name guess reiterated by not rebadging the MX5 as an Alfa which they worked on as a joined project with Mazda. Though apparently its rumored that the New Chrysler 200 is almost a sneak peek into what the Giulia (a Giulietta saloon) will look like as it was the first Chrysler than an Alfa designer worked on and the same design team that's working on the Giulia. The new Alfa Crossover vehicle due next year is meant to be based on the Giulietta platform although after that it is rumored all future releases will go back to a new designed RWD and 4WD platform.
QV yes is cloverleaf, always was just that we translate "Quadrifoglio Verde" - Green Cloverleaf. Though they now have a model called "QV Line" which is not a true QV only "inspired by" more or less same kit not same engine and used to be called the Sportiva. True QV's should have the new 1.75l Petrol engine the same one they used for the 4C (although they tuned it ever so slightly for the 4C).
Though the informat/sat nav touch screen system (Blue and Me) is actually lifted out of the Dodge series that they use in the Fiat/Alfa's currently!

http://www.carscoops.com/search/label/Mazda%20MX-5%20%2F%20Miata
Quote in there somewhere about never rebranding.MX5 will become a Fiat/Abarth 124 spider. Give away from posting a trademark on the name the day they announced it wouldn't be badged as an Alfa!.

I had no idea we were so close to the 'end of days' When people can't fathom life without air conditioning then we have all become way to soft and useless as human beings and it probably means we are all headed for a big fall. Air conditioning is a luxury and a million miles away from being a necessity. Anyone that think otherwise needs to shake themselves.

It's much better to be cool and comfortable rather than hot and sticky, and don't say you can open a window because I would rather have the quite of a/c or climate control than the buffeting noisy window open. It's not a necessity it's a requirement and not a luxury.
Dacia don't do luxury but they do A/C.

It's like Match Attax but you get to play with the players on the game. If people can justify spending upwards of £100 over a year trying to complete the folder I'd rather buy packs and enjoy playing them then trying to make swaps..
Each to their own though..
Best feature in FIFA. I would buy it if it was a standalone game..

Steaming Hot. Went to GAP today and got £95.68 worth of kids clothes for £38.58 (this is including my £15 credit to Amex card). I bought sale items, which I was informed were not included in the offer, but when I have just checked my receipt the discount was taken off, and. I got an extra 20% off, because I had bought more than 6 items. If. I included the original price of my sale items the savings would be even more. Tempted to go back tomorrow.
I only had 30% off the full price clothes and no extra money off for buying more than 6 items either in Cardiff. I think I'll be taking a few things back tomorrow to just take advantage of the Amex offer...

Think the girl on the till had put the sale items through on the offer by mistake, as she clearly told me it would not be applied on sale items. I did not know about the extra 20% for 6 or more items, I was told about it by the sales assistant (very helpful lady) she did have to put the extra 20% off manually! which may be why it was not applied on your shop.

I only had 30% off the full price clothes and no extra money off for buying more than 6 items either in Cardiff. I think I'll be taking a few things back tomorrow to just take advantage of the Amex offer...

Sorry to hear - all full price items? Sure you already have, but you might want to work out if overall you're better off today, or tomorrow (when Amex deal is still valid, but 30% off isn't....maybe something else will come up though).
Katie1111
Steaming Hot. Went to GAP today and got £95.68 worth of kids clothes for £38.58 (this is including my £15 credit to Amex card). I bought sale items, which I was informed were not included in the offer, but when I have just checked my receipt the discount was taken off, and. I got an extra 20% off, because I had bought more than 6 items. If. I included the original price of my sale items the savings would be even more. Tempted to go back tomorrow.

Excellent combo...

Was about to buy 2 pairs of jeans for total £85 but a top tip is buy 2x mens single socks + 2x women's socks for extra £18 = £103 less 20% for 6 items = £82.50, then 30% =£58 -£15 AMEX.

So better to add socks to purchase as works out few pounds cheaper. ..

Hot combo deal.....

Has anyone who ordered this actually heard when they will receive it? Heard nothing and getting concerned that I'm getting stitched up!

Greenman gaming were atrocious for me, they cancelled part of my order which meant my voucher code was invalid as I spent less than £50.00 then they decide to send me a beaten up controller box. Useless and it came 2 weeks later than they stated. Complained and they just said it wasn't their fault!!!!!
Ammaar I have but only for digital content never bought a hard copy of anything.
Anyone ever bought from Greenman Gaming before?

Really? Where abouts? I nearly bought a laptop from there, but if there is issues with them then I wouldn't. (not disputing your claims, just curious)

The comments are buried across various deals on this site. Would be impossible to find them now. If you google pc specialist, you should get more useful information.

have seen a few myself, usually in deal threads fro the company

No true 1080P screen and no SSD. These should be standard now in £500 plus laptops.

SSD definitely but 1920x1080 screen?

Outside of people who do a lot of video editing I've never seen the point of a 1920x1080 screen on a 15" laptop. You either want the crispness of a resolution you can actually read or a proper high resolution screen that's a multiple of that.

i would say the other way personally, i couldn't care less what HDD/SSD is in it - easy enough to fit yourself. adding a quality 1080p screen though? no thanks
no point adding SSD as standard when it costs alot more and is easy to fit.

I just can't see past the pcspecialist.co.uk for laptops. For just slightly more money you can have a better spec. This isn't a bad laptop, but once your at this price point it is silly not to spend just that little bit more.
There have been many negative comments about pc specialist on this website. If I was going to spend a large sum of money, I'd rather buy from a more reputable company.

I think it is better to wait until one of the 1080P 7000 series laptops are on a deal down to around £600 - Dell seems to be increasingly doing these so I expect to see more offers around £600 for high spec 7000 series laptops this summer.

I think this laptop - the one in this deal - is over priced. No true 1080P screen and no SSD. These should be standard now in £500 plus laptops.

I missed out on this one drats!!

What is the number for Tesco?
In the spirit of fairness - I just want to make sure they cancel all outstanding orders.

Thanks in advance

you when attempts at humour don't really translate in ascii text form ?

this is one of those times :)

I can tell you put a lot of effort into that (gold star for you) hence probably why it made no logical sense as either a question / statement ;) *written in plain text*
Perspective people! It was so obviously a glitch and they spotted it before despatch. If you had received it, fair enough, but until you have received it ownership has not transferred to you no matter how many pre checks they have gone through. They are not legally obliged to sell you it at that price so far as I am aware. I understand you may be disappointed but time to move on to the next deal.
How did they 'breach their own terms and conditions of the contract'?

Just interested to know.
I will also be following with a letter, highlighting their breach of their own terms and conditions of the contract. Will be sending off today with a response from them. This is not due to greed but due to the fact that in my eyes it was a legitimate deal which they had posted themselves and gone through the whole process of credit check, payment withdrawal on the first day and activation of number (not pending unlike when there are issues).
As many had said they deal was highlighted to tesco on the first day yet payments were still taken and processed. And why it took 3 days for cancellation notification and deactivation of number is unreasonable.
Recieved a letter this morning from tesco, saying thank you for joining.
Automated I suspect

the fact the you can buy these once every month via many cashback sites and make a profit in the given cashback, kind of defeats the point of this being a deal,

its also infect where the sellers stock comes from

SIM 15GBP £28.69 Cashback (getpoundsback didnt check the others current rates but they all have this),

so paying £15 to get £28.69 back + the £9.49 that he / she sell them for to people like you, or £27.58 profit total (took of £.60 for postage
It's actually £14.34 cashback for the All-In-One 15 SIM, but your point is taken
