I had this sim but lost it.
I had registered it on my3 but forgot my password.
I have the phone number and sim number.
The shop told me nothing they can do.
Any other way I can get a replacement?
Remember I can't receive a pin via text in order to reset my3 login.
Thanks

U a robot??
Could this be use in a phone ? Or is it tablet only deal with 3 double checking?
By all accounts yes, will work on the 321 plan. There is no voicemail though.
I asked in a Three store about 18 months ago whether data SIMs worked in phones. Was told not "because they use different frequencies". I was virtually thrown out of the shop for my incredulity at that.
Do they accept number ports to data SIMs? But as you say, no voicemail? Do you have to change the APN?
You do know thats not true... There are a couple of threads on here about it and others are using them as normal sims, can't remember if it was the free 200mb sim that was ok to transfer numbers or both were ok.
Hey ,
By the way , for anyone planning to dual sim + sd this with a redmi note 3 or galaxy s7 . I have found it extremely difficult to do the SD+Sim Mod . The sim card is slightly different and has a part attached to the back as shown in the image. Any advice in terms of doing the mod would be great thanks!!http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/19c5/5ws2jsb17gdxxtpzg.jpg?size_id=4

Butter fingers.

Best buy another one from MyMemory for a little over £20, and make a better note of the Three password in the future :)

You need to use a continuum transfunctioner with their data SIMs. 8)

Android 4.4? Dodgy warranty cover, some times cheap just isn't worth it. Spend few pounds more get a honor 5x or spend a good bit more and get a onePlus X
Great phone. I used to stick to the big brand mobiles until I took a risk and bought a China phone (THL 5000). Does everything I want & I haven't looked at an apple or Samsung phone since.
A lot of phone for the money, of course there are limitations....its a £100 phone!!! But, not everyone needs to store 3750 of the latest krappy pop-songs and 2500 selfies of them-pimply-selves.

A fat phone on a skinny budget! Heat from me.
Or you could go with the 4G version with 2gb of ram.
http://www.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Mi4-5-inch-2GB-RAM-16GB-ROM-Snapdragon-801-Quad-core-4G-Smartphone-p-1045950.html

Same problem again no sd card slot.
I need more information.
Gearbest add a lot of blurb on the listing for this phone! It was getting exhausting adding the jpegs - I should really edit.... :p

The Flash Sale (from China) listing from earlier today seems to have changed already - not sure what's happened there, back up to £39.63 - but the EU Warehouse option is still £38.81.
If this really has an IPS display then it's a bargain. Viewing angles should be quite good.
This was the other blurb I was going to add...

Adding this so prospective buyers know which network they can use:

http://www.4g.co.uk/4g-frequencies-uk-need-know/
There are a total of 5 different frequencies used in the UK used by the mobile networks to deliver their 2G, 3G and 4G mobile services.
800MHz (Band 20)
900MHz (Band 8 )
1800MHz (Band 3)
2100MHz (Band 1)
2600MHz (Band 7)

http://i.imgur.com/Ls3m3EY.jpg
Would have been a Oneplus X killer if it had a Micro SD card slot.
Anyone recommend a good phone for under £150?
I know someone who lives in an area that just about gets 2G, never mind 3G!
[helper]
Robjh
3g....? Android 4.4...? and they want £103?....... ;) its Fail
>>>>>
Why? most of the UK is still not able to get a full 4g signal and bandwidth that is
worth paying for and this handset with latest marshmallow 6.0.1 [which most 1-3
year old phones have not even had a sniff of yet!] flies like a rocket..

The metal fabrication on this mobile is stunning and if you hold it long enough..
you will feel like you are floating on air.. ;-)

Just giving people a bit more info. Even the seller has put 512mb in red lettering. A warning maybe?

It is a warning and well done to the seller for highlighting this issue. 512mb Ram just wont cut it, no matter how cheap. Cold.

Same thing happened with me but I submitted a claim as soon as it tracked at £1. Since then I've had the £47.50 but it did take months!

I've had endless problems with talkmobile to. They are incapable of setting up a direct debit meaning ive had to ring them every month to pay even though the previous month they had promised that the DD was now setup.

It also took three sim cards to get me setup in the first place.

£138....

Edited By: winchman on Feb 23, 2016 23:37
I think the z8300 should display 1080p video, at least 720p, as the old Atom processors from about six years ago could do 720p. My ancient netbook will deal with four or so tabs as long as they aren't too content rich, and that's usually RAM that bottlenecks it.

The Z8300 benchmarks about four times my old processor and about 1/3 over the Z3735F you see in the Linx 10 etc. Maybe try out a Linx 10 in PC World etc and see if it does the job, if it does then this will be more than fine!
I am considering buying this. Only doubt I have is about CPU. Is Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 Quad Core 4 GB Ram powerful enough to display HD videos without any problems in your opinion? Or navigate multiple Chrome tabs all together? I am not going to use this for gaming :)

I'd be more worried about a Chinese vendor than a Chinese product with next to no aftersales support.
Ah, you mean like PC World?
I'm not sure what you're getting at.

With UK sellers you at least have the Sale of Goods Act, or whatever the equivalent is now, Distance Selling Regulations etc for the UK if it goes tits up within a few months.

so that's why you bovver because you could be like me and get great signal also remember its only a one month contract so you can always leave if its that bad......TO Many People buy contracts and then find out that the signal is no good were they live they then come on places like this and moan about it when they could just get a payg sim and find out how good the signal is before committing to a long term contract.

Hi, I realise this is an old thread and somewhat outdated but it might be perfect for our needs.
My father is on Virgin for his TV and home phone and fancies getting the internet to "look stuff up" - no streaming / downloading etc.
Virgin want £20 a month extra for the privilege which i think is ridiculous
We have bought him a tablet for Christmas.
If he gets one of these sims can someone suggest a suitable dongle or mifi to put it in please.
I posted this deal months ago, and didn't realise it was still active!
At the time of posting, I didn't realise you could simply get a T-Mobile PAYG SIM and just top up £20.
I thought you had to buy one of these specific Data deals.
This eBay deal never seems to expire!

giles, this deal you posted maybe a rip off. I walked in T-Mobile (before ee happened) and gave them £20, they gave me the sim for free and added the credit to it and I bought the booster, job done.

Wondering if it still can happen as I don't think there are T-Mobile stores anymore. There are I think some Orange shops but recently found trying to deal with an issue on an orange only phone, I was quickly banging my head up a brick wall.

I have just replied to another thread about this sim that has people currently saying the activation isn't working to get the booster running.

We need more info. Anyhow, the ebay deal is a rip off.. only a few quid, none the less

Yes mine is going back as well but reply email from HP did not specify time of collection or carrier used!
Carrier for collection is the same one as delivery DPD they are collecting mine in the morning
Cheers Brian. Tablet gone back as I wasn't happy with its reception, screen, the inability to use data Europe, storage and the overall quality. Went for the kindle fire hdx from Amazon's offer and although a bit more expensive, seems an excellent value.
Exactly the same reasons why mine went back ( apart from the data Europe ) I just had a look at the HDX but no sim slot that's the main reason why I went for the HP as I don't have internet access at work so the HP tablet was ideal, Shame it was just a big piece of c**p. I do have the Galaxy 8.4 Pro but again no sim slot but an amazing tablet otherwise.
Brian. the hdx has definitely got a nano SIM slot and it is also 4G. highly recommended if you could get it on offer again.
Yes found it but £184 used is a bit much for a 7inch tablet, I will probably just upgrade my phone as that is getting on a bit now and tether it to my tablet when needed

Totally disagree hardstylemw for the price and affordability there is no other tablet on the market that gives mobile internet and a decent specification from a trusted brand for sub £100 price tag. Don't forgot the storage is upgradeable to 32gb and there is several free cloud storage suppliers available. Free surfing for two years, if you need to download videos there is always a coffee shop, pub, or restaurant that gives free internet when you need to download video to playback later. As a IT engineer that works with technology every day and has purchased one of these devices, for basic surfing whilst on the move and playback of my videos. This is not a outdated tablet, this a dual core device, you must consider the battery drain on a mobile phone which mult tasks several functions. Show me a device that gives you 3g capability for free on any tablet. Not sure why there is not more heat, this is a fantastic deal, that most people would appreciate. I recommend this tablet, only less informed or misguided users would disagree there is hardly must difference between duo core and quad core when the average user does not see the difference.

Well it may not be the latest & greatest, but it certainly isn't "a terrible old tablet".
And 3G+ connectivity which doesn't usually come in near this price - noone is forcing anyone to use the HP data feed - but it is free!

I'm sorry but it is a slow and outdated tablet! Yes it has 3g but what is the point in that? We all have smartphones these days and that would be better for most forms of browsing other than video streaming. About all you could do with this tablet is email/web browsing. I know I don't have a time machine but I've seen Nexus 7's with cellular for below the £100 pound mark which would be miles better!
I totally agree for the money it's good deal. Nothing comes close with a 3g card for free. Basic Web surfing it's OK. You could replace with another 3g card for more download capability.

Sorry but this is a terrible old tablet with a tiny amount of data for not that cheap! 250mbs will get eaten up by about 3hrs of video streaming or about 6hrs of browsing so not a great deal really! Thanks for posting though!

It's because people who buy these devices don't know how to wi-fi tether their phone.
When i bought a tablet from Currys the guy tried to sell me one of these and i said i don't need one because i can wi-fi tether my phone and use that as a internet source he said 'oh right' then later on when i was paying for the tablet he asked me how i used my phone to wi-fi tether and i showed him and he thanked me because he genuinely didn't know (like the people who buy these devices).

I can assure you I know how to tether but have one of these for my caravan for convenience and to connect the security camera to the Internet.
I guess I should just leave my phone there instead eh?
Hi thinking about getting mifi for my house so that i do not need a phone line is this a good idea will be connecting to a number of devices like laptop, tablets, smart tv, mobile phone wifi and android boxes and consoles can anyone suggest the best one or an alternative that doesnt need a phone line thats reasonably priced
Just got one for this price and didn't realise it was such a deal. :)
Works great on my phone, tablet, ipad, personal and corporate laptop.

Well i gave them one last ditch call at the weekend. I have been with EE/Orange 12+ years and they said they dont want me to leave. However they cannot offer me the 5GB "Deal" as retentions said it doesnt exist lol.

Never get any call backs from them, so looks like i will be leaving them for O2. Works out cheaper for me so not fussed. Would have been nice to stay though.
TechNet
Might give them a callback and see before I change over next week.

They still claimed that the deal doesn't exist lol.

Same here, the best offer I could get was £10 a month 250 minutes with 1 gig of data.

Deal is still active. Got this through retentions today. Unlimited minutes and texts, 5gb of 4G data with free calls to 08 numbers for £9.99pm for 12 months. EU roaming is not included though. Also, to my surprise, I received the best customer service I've had for a long time.
Aware of the take over. Reception on both here are much better than EE.

Not sure about custom ROMs. The case I use was just a generic 8" tablet case which is ok but thinking of ordering one from eBay.
Hmm, just thought to check and it seems there's no custom ROMs for the A8-50, so I might have to send it back as it means I can't use Titanium backup to keep backups for her (or restore her data from the Sero 7 Pro, at least from the last backup I copied to the PC before it died (and that's why it's useful to have an SD card slot to keep backups on!). I won't be able to use Online Nandroid Manager either to backup the whole system and without CWM or TWRP I can't do that from recovery either as far as I'm aware.

Apart from that though, I'm not sure that she needs root/custom ROM for anything.
OK, ordered the A8-50 and Very have agreed to give me the £30 discount for my first credit order, so I'm pretty chuffed with that. Was dithering between it and the Kindle Fire HDX with the Full HD screen, 2GB RAM and faster CPU, almost twice as fast in fact. However, I figured that with my Mum's aging eyesight she'd probably just find a Full HD 8" screen a bit difficult to read, she's not exactly a power-user and doesn't really play games, so probably doesn't need 2GB and has never complained about the CPU speed of her Sero 7 Pro. Although she buys a lot of stuff from Amazon, I doubt she'll use a tablet for reading books or watching movies, particular as the HDX is apparently quite heavy and thus uncomfortable to use for reading.

Anyway, can anyone recommend a good flip cover/stand for the A8? I got the Sero 7 Pro one with it as a deal from Ebuyer and that has proved quite good, with no problems with it not being held securely like some I've read about but will obviously be too small for the A8.
flimflamflum

It can be upgraded to KitKat

Ah, that's good to know thanks. In fact, makes it better than the Sero 7 Pro as that can't.
flimflamflum
Very have it reduced to £113 at the moment

I know some people don't like them but I have always found them all right.

Thanks for the tip. The link to Very from the Lenovo page showed it as OOS and I didn't think to search the site!

I think this is the 1generation yoga tablet. Lower screen resolution and slower CPU.

The 2nd Gen Hd+ version has full HD screen, and an Intel cpu. Amazon had this for £199, I know it's more but in my opinion it's worth the upgrade. Might be worth checking

As above, because it classes it's self as a phone, you can also get unlimited data plans, use tethering (sadly no longer unlimited tethering as no one offers it) and so on.

Mine was generally ok and the problems I had were of my own making - cracked screen etc.
The Fonepad is available on voice tariffs, so if you want occasional data, that opens up the Three PAYG321 - actually, at 1p/MB, that means you'd pay £10/GB - if you used a GB, £5 / 500MB - compares pretty well with most monthly data tariffs ... cheapest you can get a GB is £7.50 - whether you use it all or not!
Can anyone recommend similar priced with rear camera ? thanks

Yes Hong Kong is a feel at home destination, so you can use it as if you were in the UK. Just ensure you activate the sim in the UK before you leave and double check international roaming is enabled on the sim (although from memory, this is enabled by default on PAYG sims)

I had a 3GB 90 day prepaid Three PAYG data sim I bought off ebay for £6 and I used it in my iPad when I went to the USA earlier this year and it worked fine

Activating before leaving is a wise move, however I've sucessufully used unactivated sims in France, Italy & Austria. Just popped them into the phone and they connected righ away.
Just order a 100GB sim from EE for free instead. Lasts for 2 months so in total 200GB of data. 4G too and you can probably tether too.

They argued anti-piracy. Everyone else argued greed.

Looked like 'Everyone else agreed' at first glance.
I was thinking WHAT??

I thought vita would have a resurgence due to PS4 remote play feature. That's why I want one (don't even have a PS4 yet!).

I'll be honest, I don't use that feature much. I've played a couple of games of Resogun through it and that was fine but I tried Ghosts once and found it impossible.

and if you do end up buying one these. don't mess about with the lower memory cards, just bite the bullet and buy a 64gb card from Hong Kong. best buy I have made for my vita.

Unless you really want to carry a ton of games with you then a 16-32GB card should be enough for most people I think.

I have a 16GB one because I refuse to pay the premium for any of the higher capacity versions. On the flip-side it also means that I buy far less Vita games so nice one Sony, you did well there.

Same, I went up to 16GB after about a year as 8GB was just a tad too limiting, but I find 16GB plenty. I'm never far away from a WiFi connection and don't have movies/photos etc on there, so no need to supersize just for the sake of having all of the gamezzz on one card!

Really starting to feel like the Vita has had its day and will now just fade away into obscurity. Shame it wasn't more of a success, it's such a great device.
I feel the same as you two. I refuse to pay over the odds for a memory card. I've got two 16s which I got for about £12 each. I almost got a 32 for £40 but that's just way too much, I can't really justify paying over £1 per GB when we shouldn't need to.

I feel like the Vita has had it's day too and it's really sad because it's a great console with huge potential. Sony really did mess up big time with it. They released it without a Micro USB charger, no internal memory and then obviously the whole memory card situation. Then as soon as they saw that it wasn't selling that well, they just gave up on the games and didn't bother supporting it well. if only they had the same desire for it to succeed that they had for the PS1-4, it could have been a success and something really special. I'll still always keep mine though and I'm glad I bought it. It's just a bit disappointing to see how it's ended up being.

Soul Sacrifice Delta

Freedom Wars (out the end of October)
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
Hotline Miami
Borderlands 2 (not the best version of the game but Borderlands 2 on a handheld is some achievement)
Gravity Rush
Dragon's Crown

This is where your argument breaks down completely. I do love apple products, but I also use non apple products that are very good. You may think Apple products are expensive, not good value to you and so on, but I don't think anyone in their right mind can say Apple products are poorly made!

read the apple community forums! Over half a million dissatisfied people with problems on the iphone 5. I can't un blinker the blind! But after the hassle I've had with apple I won't buy another apple product as apple just deny there product was poorly made and had faults. But then to recall millions of faulty phone would have seriously have affected apples profits and reputation, so apple decided to just ignore the faults and scrap the iphone 5

http://www.statisticbrain.com/iphone-5-sales-statistics/

Apple sold about 91m iphone 5's worldwide. Even taking your randomly plucked out figure of 500k faulty units. That's only 0.55% of units produced that are faulty (every item manufactured will have faulty items), so 99.45% of iphone 5's were totally fine? Also they have had programs to replace iphone 5 battery's on affected models, and sleep/wake buttons on affected models. So I fail to see how they don't recognise faults in their products. I have also seen similar screens for their macbooks.

Your argument is without merit, what you are saying does not hold true when you look at the facts. I accept you have had a bad experience with Apple, and this has tarnished your view of them, but it does not mean your experience translates to everyone else, or everything Apple. The vast majority of people with Apple products have no problems (or if they do get them resolved no bother) and are very happy with their products, this is why they continue to have records sales despite their high prices.

no point me arguing with an Apple minion!

I supplied facts and figures. You just don't like them lol.
your just an apple minion supporting the mothership, one day you might take a reality check!

The software on these is brilliant. Autostarts, autoconnects. Browser interface.

I managed to get 2 for 99p each when Comet closed.

Got my hands on it today, there is only one sim slot. Probably because it is an EU version. Comes with EU style 2 pin plug. Much lighter and slimmer than my Blackberry Playbook. Still not pocketable enough though.

Very fast and very happy so far. Let's see if unlimited data work on this thing...
god rid if it, got a hp slate with 3g

i had a tab 3 wifi only and loved the size and screen quality but god it was slow!

There is a kitkat ROM available for it now....try that !!

which tablet is that out of interest spannerzone?
Samsung Tab2 with 3G, within seconds of inserting a Three PAYG sim I got a warning saying the SIM could not be used in that type of device. Three are very strict and tablets with 3G are not considered phones by Three and so they block voice&data SIM's from working and insist you use a data only.

purchased this morning to replace shockingly bad "new" talktalk router. good price, same at dabs.

and how did it work? do you have fibre?

Just have standard old broadband. Received router today and swapped out my talktalk router. So easy to set up out of box. So far its a breath of fresh air.

Why is this so cheap? Good brand, modem/wifi/switch... Is it just old model?

I have an Asus RT-N66U (wifi/switch) upstairs connected to a TP-Link (modem/wifi/switch) in the garage - The Asus device has vastly superior interface and features so I'd like to replace the TP-Link thing with something similar.

Does anyone know if this has the same QoS management as my current Asus?

The only really great thing I like about TP-Link is they have an emulator for all of their devices - you can try out th backend before you buy one! I haven't seen an Asus equivalent, would love to see that.

The only two negatives are that there is no gigabit Ethernet port (bit of a let down) and there is no dual band (which can hardly be expected at this price point)

Hope not, this isn't a fibre router.

Though it's an Apple product so please vote cold because saving £100 from retail price isn't a deal.

Done, voted hot.

I know what you're trying to do, don't use this reverse psychology on us, it won't work! :-P

Good find OP
It's getting on a bit, but not a bad price for the cellular model
