False news are so false news. Starting from 12 beaches. You are right some of the beaches affected, but only 8 according to local news. All 8 beaches are North ones, so usual touristic places are not affected.
Water is 22 C now, and +25 sunny weather. Please stop commenting something you do not know ;/

okay but not that great, you can get it for this price with a proper airline if you look out for it.
Tiks to Australia often pop up for £500-550 return on thai airways for example
Never heard anyone describe Thai airways as a proper airline

Clearly you've never flown with them. Perhaps you haven't heard much about them because they are based in Asia? I would honestly rate them right at the top as far as comfort, service and food goes (Qantas being my gold standard).

Better than these I've flown:
Emirates
Etihad
Virgin
KLM
Lufthansa
Malaysia
Air Italia

and of course all the budget and regional carriers in europe, asia, australia & america I've been on...

I only looked at your top 3 and then laughed! You will find Emirates, Etihad and Virgin have and all won more awards than Thai and board more than 3 times the amount of passengers. And yes I've flown on them all, Singapore being one of the best!

Been there twice - absolute amazing place.
It's good for a 2-3 days. I certainly wouldn't recommend going there for a 2 week holiday. It's incredibly expensive, in particular hotels and drinks. Food can be reasonable, but can also cost as much as Europe.
The flight price isn't particularly great as people have already mentioned. But if you're just using Singapore as a hub, it's great because air asia can take you to some very exotic and beautiful places in Indonesia and Malaysia, where money goes much further.

exactly, prices are generally OK depending on where you go, but booze is extremely expensive!!

I never liked the place - I guess if you want a very mild, westernized introduction to SE Asia its good. But there are much, much more interesting places to visit nearby

I paid £385 for Orlando return Virgin flights departing 7th November when I booked in Jan. Very misleading from Virgin!
Not really, flights change price a ridiculous amount.
In any event though, these prices are nothing special. As others said, go through an agency. Picked a few NY dates at random and found them all £50 less through reputable agents. And £350 is about right for the time of year.
What agents do you mean? I always thought it would be cheaper directly?
Just whatever travel agent of the day happens to be giving the best price.

Rarely do I see direct being cheapest when I've used flight comparison sites. Only the budget airlines are cheapest direct.
Expensive! I paid £680 for 5 nights in NY in February which included transfers from airport with hotel 5 mins from Central Park and 10 mins from Times Square.

Can I hop on a station between Leeds and London? Say I buy a ticket but get on at Newark? Is that allowed?
No. The tickets are only available for travel Leeds/Wakefield to Kings Cross and visa versa. Also you could have trouble getting off at Newark Northgate because I'm not sure that Leeds trains stop there - lol
The Leeds to London route do stop at Newark. Maybe not every train, but the route usually goes like this: Leeds, Wakefield, Doncaster, Newark, Grantham, Peterborough, stevenage, London.

You missed out Retford from your list of stopping points and there are fewer than 4 Leeds service trains a day that stop at Newark but then all of this is irrelevant to the original subject matter.
snow18
Can I hop on a station between Leeds and London? Say I buy a ticket but get on at Newark? Is that allowed?

There are Advance tickets, and the conditions for these tickets state you must make the journey you've booked, on the train you've booked.
There are ticket barriers at Newark, so your ticket wouldn't get you in or out of the station, and you could be asked to pay the full anytime fare.
Train companies generally now let people off if they get off a stop early if they're not doing it to save money, but that obviously wouldn't be the case if you're using a Leeds special offer ticket from Newark.

I think it was tongue in cheek but was probably over your head. Having posted no deals in 12 years, why are you even on here ?
bargaindeals ? You must enjoy irony.

If you're trying to be funny you should make it clear. Unlike your post, I tried to make my remarks very much tongue in cheek.
Actually I find Yorkshire folk very friendly, maybe because they welcome the input of my English Pounds into their economy or perhaps the women who find it refreshing to meet a male who treats them like ladies and are not 'tight wads'
I'm not aware that it's a requirement to post a deal to visit this site. For your information I visit this site to find out what others have found and for others to make sensible comments upon. Unfortunately I have to suffer postings from people like you who think it clever to make inept remarks.

I went before with standing tickets. It was a great "first time" experience and definitely one to try but beware the standing part is not fun. The courtyard gets very packed and you're standing for ages. If you're short it's even worse as you have to keep tip toeing to see when taller people get in front of you. I couldn't handle it and left at the first intermission. I'd definitely go again but only if I have seated tickets.
This is the standard price for standing tickets.
We saw Midsummer Nights Dream and it was really funny, everyone should see at least one Shakespeare play like this! I'm not sure I could have stood throughout and you definitely are not allowed to sit during it unless in the seated area. However you get the best view and are in the thick of the action. We have booked for Romeo & Juliet here this summer. It's worth seeing it done properly to actually understand it. I hadn't done any Shakespeare since secondary school and had forgotten a lot of it but it's amazing how you can keep up. A great experience.
Absolutely loved seeing midsummer nights dream here last year, brilliant performance, however I think standing for the entirety would've been hell!

Canadian here who flies Air Transat once or twice annually between London and various Canadian cities.
This is a great airline. They are a vacation-focused airline and even their cheapest fare includes a meal (e.g. hot sandwiches, sushi, etc) + snack (e.g. lemon poppyseed slice) on trans-atlantic flights, includes check-in luggage.
In-flight entertainment is also included and has a nice size screen and a great catalog (including some not released to bluray yet movies).
I'm 6 feet tall and the leg room is reasonable.
Planes are pretty new A330s.
WestJet is the Canadian no-frills pay for everything Ryan Air like flight between UK and Canada.
They're sometimes a little cheaper but the planes are older (refurbed 767s). I would only recommend them if you have no other trans-atlantic options.
I would not hesitate to recommend Air Transat.
Wow that's the polar opposite to my experience. They are a terrible airline and I will never fly with them again

Some of their planes are old! This is what I can see flying right now:-
Gatwick to Toronto - A310 29 years old.
Malaga to Montreal - A310 24 Years old.
Glasgow to Toronto - A310 26 Years old.
Calgary to Gatwick - A310 25 Years old.
Gatwick to Vancouver - A330 18 Years old.
Paris to Montreal - A330 19 Years old.

Sorry. Perhaps pretty new wasn't the right word if you're assuming maiden flight age. I was commenting from a new/modern looking interior.
That being said, from delivery date standpoint, only 9 of their 50 planes were delivered more than 10 years. 31 of them were delivered in the past 3 years. Which would explain the modern furnishing and in-flight entertainment setup.

Definitely not going to find a hot out of the hangar 787 Dreamliner here.

Looked at Air Transat for a flight at the end of May to Toronto myself. Ended up booking with Virgin Atlantic for a similar price. Reviews seem a bit marmite-y, too.
I would love to fly Virgin for that price. was that recently? Do you know if they still have those prices.
Never flown with these people but price appealed to me.
If you dont mind going round the houses will include a stop

What would be there reason to cancel? If money has been taken, is it not binding? Assuming it has been taken.
What do you reckon? oO
I'm fine with it. It's worth a punt but also like to get a bargain :p

Quidco are terrible. I am still waiting on my 10% Argos cashback from December. They told me I would receive it within 30 days when I contacted them. It has now been 27 days and my support ticket has since been deleted by them so I am not hopeful that it will be sorted.

No more. Still waiting on £10 bonus cashback for purchase made in November last year.

I got all the £10 bonus cashback from last year.

Never received payouts that we're advertised in December. Filled in complaint about it and still got nothing.
Send a message complaining about it and they ask 'which transactions are you referring to?'
How about the ones on my account under Microsoft like I said?
So much faff having to find order numbers, tally them up with dates and amounts per order that I can't do it all over again when I've already submitted the complaint about it not paying out correctly.
I hope they enjoy the extra £10 amounts here, there and everywhere that seemed too good to be true at the time and have turned out to be just that.
Thanks for tipping me over the edge into making lots of purchases that were made on false premises.

I find that if you contact Quidco via Livechat on a daily basis they will pay up. Keep harassing them!

It's a dose but it is the only way to get paid out. Got paid out £30 for November bonuses by January.

Argos by any chance ? I'm in the same boat, Quidco really have gone to the dogs in a big way recently, really poor Customer Service too when you complain.

Quidco is rubbish these days. My £10 Currys purchase bonus never got paid along with the more miserly cash back.
Mine was paid, as per the original term offers - three days after the cash back amount from Currys was paid. Showed up as quidco bonus in my payments.
