Proof, if it were needed, that deals get voted hot based on what the product is rather than the price...

The Hut - £5.95
Zavvi - £5.95
Tesco - £5.97
SendIt - £5.98
HMV - £5.99
Play - £5.99

You're really moaning over a few pence? I think a lot of people on here (myself included) would rather pay the extra 4p and order from a trusted site like Amazon, rather than either get your order cancelled or have to wait weeks from thehut/Zavvi.

Eh? Did I miss a meeting? oO

I think it's a fair criticism, it's been around £6 for a while now, and while it's imo, one of the greatest comedies ever made, it still doesn't count as a 'deal' here.

Not voting cold, as it's a good price for a great item, but it's not a great or special price, and I'm forcing a head over heart decision.

It's hard to interpret what a 'deal' is at times as to my mind this is highlighting that a great series can be picked up for a great price. I think I paid almost double for it.

Off topic, but I still like the Tesco is taking over the world sketch that was on the Iannucci show.

This DVD is great too.

The Day Today : Complete BBC Series (2 Disc Set) [1994] [DVD] £5.97 @ Amazon

A brilliantly funny and pointed parody of aggressive TV journalism. Full of completely farcical, fictional news stories told in sharply realistic melodramatic TV News style. Plus a mockery of weather

It's funny how what used to look like an OTT parody, now just seems no different from real tv news channels.
this AND Brass Eye!

Legendary.
Coming up - 500 more uncles laid off in Derbyshire-

My nieces and nephews just called me into the lounge this morning and said "Sorry, but we're going to have to let you go".

Just time for a quick look at tomorrow's headlines - 'Plastic surgeon arrested with stash of stolen mouths', that's in the Express, the Hull Aphrodite, 'Police chief crushes lizard with whistle', there he is looking wretched, the Daily Mail, 'Child made of paint wins by-election', the Murdoch papers tomorrow, 'Crazed wolves in store a bad mistake admits Mothercare', and there's the same story in the Sun, and the Daily Mirror have a special pull-out note for the milkman, 'five pints please', they'll be doing three, two and four later in the week. That's it, that's The Day Today on the day a man on this programme told how he was menaced by Hugh Sculley.
Because fact into doubt won't go.
Its one of those things you can watch over and over again and its still funny as *****

Love it!

Even though I am an avid downloader, I bought this as it is a classic piece of tv history.

Now does anyone know if Spitting Image has ever been put out on DVD as a collection ?
One of the funniest shows ever. Great price too!
News Felch!
Those are the headlines. God, I wish they weren't.
Splendid!

Its not about bringing it "to the attention of HUKDers", its about hot deals. This is £1.45 more expensive than HMV, before Quidco. That makes it cold.

Not if you want to use your matchhunt voucher, want to fill your basket to get free delivery, have a Prime account or don't use Quidco, "that makes it" HOT

Thanks anyway

Good points lads, but This DVD wouldn't have been brought to the attention of HUKDers if not posted
