Been in two London stores both selling for 59p. Not sure why they priced different elsewhere. Shelf ticket also has 21.02 printed. Expiry date of offer perhaps?
Still £1.19 in Dundee

Might be just be local then. Still worth a look if you are in Lidl. Would be helpful to know the experience of others too.

These are only £2.47 a pack not £2.75, best thing to do is mix these with the Any 3 for £6 deal then you do not end up with 20 rock hard croissants.

These are nice croissants but it's not a great saving as you have to buy so many. Most would struggle to get through 24 of them while they are fresh.

These days, I actually walk to Asda purely because I find their croissants the best of the lot. Lidl is too far to go only for croissants.

Costco's or Marksies. Can't fail with either
Problem with Costcos you have to buy too many and freeze them
Ditto with their gorgeous Muffins. But you dont want 8. Yopu want ONE or maybe two - even there you tend to cut in two and save the other half for later - not so Croissants !
These or only half to two thirds the size of a 'proper' Tesco Croissant so bit of a cheat IMHO.

I have a nearly 20 years old (!!) Kenwood toaster that has a long slot and all the features this one has - in the 1990s the most well-known one was the Tefal Thick N Thin toaster. Weird how this type is so hard to find nowadays!

My Kenwood still works but is starting to look its age. I'll likely give it to a charity shop.

My dream toaster would do two Scottish Plain slices simultaneously (Plain bread slices are much longer than Warburton's/pan bread). Don't think this one will either, but at least I won't have to cut the slices in half!

Edit: Picked it up. Seems more robust than the plasticky Kenwood it's replacing though the digital display is a reminder to ensure I switch it off at the socket (silly me forgets with the other one). More or less the same size cavity as the long slot toaster it's replacing, so it will do two Warburton's slices with ease, or 1.5 Scottish Plain slices! The older toaster is 1150W rating so hopefully it won't be a noticeable time difference!

If you're a penny-pincher (like me) seems you can ask for the £2.50 … If you're a penny-pincher (like me) seems you can ask for the £2.50 difference

Woo! And thanks to this I've also got my £2.50 back Oh I love HOTUKD sometimes...
I bought this last week at £22 after spotting it and thinking it was pretty uncommon to get a good looking but cheap long format toaster - we have a small kitchen and its a bit more work-top friendly to have it tucked flush against the back along the wall than the boxier 2-4 slot ones.

So far so good, looks nice and works, toasts well enough. Can't say much else after a week of ownership. The finish and plastics/trim etc are all nice and no cheap knobbly edges etc. Only gripe is that with the settings being digital, it doesn't remember them when you turn it off at the wall, so you have to re-do them every time.
At last a toaster to take Warburtons Toastie loaf...

love there pain au chocolat and perfect for me as don't eat eggs. They are bit small and croissants don't taste that great imo, but better than not being able to.eat croissants st all
These are great! I Especially enjoy the fact the chocolate is plain not dairy so more people can enjoy Thanks will look for these tomorrow I thought they were normal croissant size - perhaps people who think they are small are not cooking them long enough as they do get pretty big if your oven has the correct temp (or they fail a bit if not :s )
Got some yesterday and cooked them this morning and the Pain Au Chocolates, both very nice!. Croissant's are rather small though but what do you expect for £0.75!
:)nice
Shame, just been to Tesco risca and it was not half price.
