This just makes me want a VR HD version of Jungle Strike.
All Flight Simulator Discounts, Offers and Sale - October 2018
I've got Oculus Rift myself so couldn't comment on Vive but I can say the DCS VR experience is incredible. An older Youtube video gives the Vive a great review and things can only have gotten better since then.
I bought the Huey and the Black Shark - the amount of detail and work that must have gone into them make it good value IMO.
Tempted by the Gazelle. At just over £25 it seems a good deal.
What would you recommend for HTC Vive VR?
I like Black Shark 2 because it's a single seat 'copter so you get to both pilot and shoot. It ruined all the fun when sims reached sufficient detail level to separate those two roles when simulating the Apache. :D
Equal amount on console, and not getting in the way of ANY of the top games coming out this year.
No problems with your posts @otterboxer , I like free speech :). I don't think it looks a worthy game either (unless your an aviation enthusiast perhaps), I wouldn't even buy it physical for a tenner. Re the keywords, I always feel compelled to use the whole 10 but could not think or find any, random things like Sega or Atari certainly mix it up, what can I say.
My musings come when they come @noahsdad hence different posts. (all valid though) (y) The link does still seem to send me back here fwiw (not that i'd consider buying it, just wanted to have a look before voting) Ah, ublock was kicking me back my mistake.
@otterboxer the HUKD link works fine, maybe the HUKD server had a momentary network issue when you tried it. You can condense all your comments into one single posting you know :)
Also this has nothing to do with either Sega or the 3ds so not sure why they are there as keywords? Spotted after wondering why this "deal" popped up on my keyword feed. :|
My wife wants to know why she hasn't seen me since this was posted, and why our bank account is £400 lighter (the box marked 'Oculus Rift' might give a clue).
Another game for the collection, thanks jcrider.
Having your throttle in the blue zone gives you the best turning rate, you're not gonna turn well at max throttle.
Only £4.49 if you've bought the monthly Civ VI bundle (including Owlboy).
You're right. I must have played it on the C64 before getting an Amiga because I just looked up footage of the Amiga version and I don't remember it being so colourful. I forgot this was back in the day when every platform got a different version. I first played The Secret of Monkey Island on the Amiga and was a bit confused when I later played it on PC and it didn't look or sound the way I remembered it.
How did I not see that. I was thinking omg jet fighter
Maverick flew a f14 ...
I almost had a heart attack when I read the price and F16 experience then I saw it was a sim lol
£20 here - https://www.travelzoo.com/uk/local-deals/West--Yorkshire/Other/272637/
It's a great price for the level of simulation you get, far beyond microsoft flight sim, but way below a pilot training flight sim. You get the real hardware (almost certainly extracted from a crashed aircraft) and you're fully enclosed. the graphics system is far better than any home pc. The lack of motion means you won't forget you're in a sim (which you do in a pilot training sim with motion). if you want to experience real flying for a hundred quid, then any flying club will take you up in a little cessna for a couple of circuits.
Good find, managed to add several missing volumes to my collection at bargain price (y)
Or just pay £35 for this deal, and save £500.
*lose. Loose is a totally different word.
DEAL10 not working

Subscribed to this guy now, thank you. Check out Stonemountain64 for a similar thing.

Taaaaakee helicopters oooonnnn!!!!
I remember buying this years ago when on holiday in the USA for something like $80. Can't believe it's still holding at this price.
Showing out of stock. Regards Flea
I paid £99 in 2004 so this is not much of a saving for something that dated!
My god this thing is old. I remember wanting to buy one when I was a teenager! Was the shiz back then! I do not quite understand how this is still available new!
X52 is a very old HOTAS and frankly even at this price point isn't worth it. The throttle is nice but the stick is awful, save up a little and get the X55 or combo a T16000M with a CH Pro throttle. I say this as someone who owned an X52 for 7 years - it's old tech, released over TEN years ago and only bought by those who don't understand how poor the tech inside the stick is, or by those who have never tried cheaper sticks like the T16000M which at £30 blows the X52s socks off. Heck even get a Hotas-X over this.. do yourself a favour and avoid.
It wasn't for me, not my sort of game, but my brother completed it multiple times,he still loves it!
Does it still give you the same buzz playing it SkyKid!!?
This has reminded me of Wings that i used to play so much on the Amiga. Loved that game.
I hope GOG are bringing other classic Microprose games to their catalogue like European Air War, F-14 Fleet Defender and M1 Tank Platoon etc.
One of my favourite games when I were a lad!
Does anyone have any advice on how complicated this game is to run? my elderly father likes this kind of thing but isn't tech savvy in the slightest. Is there an easy mode?
good find op, heat added
Was waiting for this to drop in price again.... Purchased!!
I bought this about this time last year, still not installed it. God I love this site and Steam Sales.
I am soooooooo glad I told my son to wait last week when he wanted to buy this :-)
the rumble is quite good in War Thunder. If only they had added a couple more buttons on the throttle stick it would be perfect entry hot as stick Nice price
Not a bad controller at this money...well made, reliable
Bought this when last on sale on Steam and had issues with stability with Windows 10 and a 290x. I would recommend getting Prepar3d v3 (though it is a lot more expensive this at 60usd) if looking into buying an up to date, good looking flight sim.
Hello how can I get this moved to freebies please?
900MB download but looks good
should be in freebies section
Anyone know where the £4 deal is? The only ones on STEAM start at £19.99. Is there a code or something?
I've had this on DVD before, but lost it. It's great for £4 and as always from Steam it's a superfast download with 25% down in 10mins. The Steam network is very resilient, so any problems are likely to be connection based.
I'm a bit out of touch tbh, my Logitech Xtreme 3D Pro served me very well for around 10 years, and since one of the axis went awry I've been using a Saitek AV8R I had spare both good sticks, both cheap, just don't know if they're still for sale :P
Which stick and how much? Thanks :)
Good price for this however, is it always so sloooooow to download things from their website? It has been downloading for 2 hours now and is only at 20% (my internet connection is fine)....
cheers.. too late now... the price has gone up!
I have it running on Win 10 no bother. Also bought the Thrustmaster flight stick from Dabs on ebay, mentioned on another thread here, works a treat, far better than messing around with the Xbox controller.
Does it run with Windows 10?
thank you. heat added
i remember wanting this back in 2006 when it was around £70, nice one OP.
Well Prepar3D is actually FSX under the hood, but Microsoft has licensed out to Lockheed Martin and they have applied their own tweaks and optimisations to their flight sim. The main benefit of Prepar3D is that it actually utilises your GPU, where as FSX was only optimised for the CPU alone, in addition it also has full DirectX 11 support to the sim, which speeds up the loading of scenery, and autogen (Depending on your computer specs, and whether you are running it on a SSD or a WD Black high performance HDD.) However, the pricing is not like your normal game, you have to either pay a monthly or yearly subscription to receive the latest updates for Prepar3D whenever they are released, and it's not cheap.
I think he means can he put his boxed version code into steam to unlock this version and I think the answer is no.
Thanks still works. This was on my shopping list. When you buy it you get a code and put that into steam then download. No disc. Think it's about a 16gb download.
I have this on disc. Can I connect it to steam?
Think he meant stimulator
From £15 to 500
Meh, bought it in the last sale after some buddies had me playing DCS. This really does look it's age. Ran it once since buying.
Only go for the add ons version, if you plan to install and play it. I bought it, the last time it was cheap, probably haven't even logged into Steam since then.
