All Gran Canaria Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2018
Yes the children need to be in school for the first day of a new term.
The reason I didn't book myself.
Any good in Maldives?? Preferably Niyama Thanks
1 bedroom is ok for 4 but you cannot really miss the start of a new term that's the deal breaker for most people i expect.
News similar for family of 6 lol
I agree with both your posts, though I prefer this one (cheeky) :D :D :D
Website shit for maintenance
Oops I mean shut for maintenance
Nice find. :
No its not. About 26c average so far cooler than turkey, costas and Greek islands
Water is nice here but it's full of time share harassing you but rico is close not much out side the area in gran canaria just waste desert land most the beaches are nice though
Stayed here couple of years ago, basic and not much in amadores but pleasant 15 minute walk to Puerto Rico which is buzzing. No air-conditioning though and darned hot!
Black or white sand beach?
Ah thanks Rach, looks fab. Really looking for August tbh. After Bali last year, Europe may be a bit too local but doable :D I've added you to my watch list, so if it looks like I'm stalking you...
thanks, just seen some other good deals on there too. Weather could be hit or miss i just read in April. Tempted though
Try reading that in one breath!
Are you after London Easter too? here
Your wish is my command. This is an amazing deal too! Here
Hope you have a fantastic time. Season's greetings.

hmmmmmm...... I hear the Swedes make the British look Ugly?!?!?! Am not convinced.
Villa.... its full of swedes at the hotels
I've used them for years also and never had any problems at all, the problems i have had have been with supposedly more prestigious companies, i;e long delays and cancellations, i will mention no names ;)
Good to know, I have used Ryanair for years and never had any problems, but it just made me uneasy after that disaster, I am surprised they survived it. Will still use them though as their prices are always good.
Apparently they won't be cancelling anymore flights, they are just going to be a bit more realistic when planning future slots I:e not biting off more than they can chew, a repeat of last times cancellations would probably finish them, don't think they want that lol
Very tempting! how reliable are they with flights now? worries me about the cancellations they had.
We went there in time for Valentine's day this year, amazing place! West side of the island gets most sun. If your interested in checking out what gra Canaria has to offer check out my video highlights from Feb: Gran Canaria highlights Enjoy:)
Not everyone needs bus or taxis, they may drive/park. Just be aware of you are drinking to excess on NYE of drink drive limits or make sure one of you is fit and legal to drive.
good luck finding a bus or taxi when you get back... on the first 2 holidays of the new year.
Oh I wish!
From Canaries XD (excited) (excited)
Jet-lagged afore Hogmanay? Och, awa' wi' ye!
Damn too late, expired by the looks of it. Thx for posting tho, hoping for something similar
When you get through on the link change the number of children to 2 and the nights to 14, then go low-high prices and it is the first on the list. Sorry but I can't get it to go straight to the deal.
Can't seem to get the link working properly, will keep trying.
Puerto Rico>Amadores = use ur feet
Been to Gran Canaria many times and it is my favourite Canary Island for lots of reasons but apart from the brilliant weather one of them is the spectacular mountainous interior. If you have a hire car, pick a clear day and drive into the mountains at least once on your holiday as the views enroute and from the famous Roque Nublo ('Rock in the clouds') and the Pico de las Nieves ('Peak of the Snows') viewpoint are stunning. You can even see the outline of Mount Teide on Tenerife 70 miles away on a clear day.
hats off to you OP for finding a proper holiday thats over the school break. and cheap too.
Haha that video comment was so true. Put me right off. Looks awful X)
Good deal. 2* doesn't bother me, the main thing I look for is that the reviews say it's clean. Not bothered about the facilities too much, maybe check that pool and bar are ok. Puerto Rico is lovely. We got a bargain, flying out on the 26th July from Liverpool to Puerto rico (6.30am flight) one week self catering at montebello (2* official but rated over 4/5 on tripadvisor). 3 cases and private taxi transfer for under £1350 (2adults, 2 kids). Fly back to Liverpool at 12.30 the week after. Deal went upto £1750 a few days later. That was with on the beach.
Thanks! These deals let me know where the chavs are so I can avoid.
What do you define as cheap ? £113 for 15.8 to 19.08, use skyscanner to find anything cheaper.
any cheap holidays to barcelona in august
It's on Thomson, just plug in the dates. Follow the 'Get' Deal' on this deal and just edit the search.
Great deal and flight times!
Heat from me
Cold?? It IS the Scottish school holidays already!
Thanks for posting school holiday travel deals. I appreciate the effort.
Is it? I lived there for three years and never heard that the entire time.
Thank you for replying :)
we have been looking at turkey all inc..tbh i dont know what we are going to do..i go between feelings of 'to hell with it' and then 'not taking the risk' The fact so many people who we know of the kids know where in manchester arena :/ kind of makes me want to lock the doors lol..going to check out your liverpool deal now tho thanks xx
I'd imagine everyone in Manchester could do with getting away at the moment :(
wow this is dirt cheap nice find op
The cheap BA flight "Operated by Iberia Express For Iberia".
Shame it is not the other way round as wouldn't be bothered about coming back!
False news are so false news. Starting from 12 beaches. You are right some of the beaches affected, but only 8 according to local news. All 8 beaches are North ones, so usual touristic places are not affected. Water is 22 C now, and +25 sunny weather. Please stop commenting something you do not know ;/
oil on 12 beaches from a ferry accident.
You get a magic "fare discount" from Ryanair? Bravo.
Yes, it's not a cruise line I'm familiar with. Reading though the reviews I'd say it is similar to Thomson. I'd say for less than £50pp all inclusive it's having realistic expectations.
Its a good price and thumbs up for the effort in putting this together. I would be a bit wary though of Pullmantur cruises. The overall review rating on cruisecritic is 41% with more people rating it as terrible than those rating is as excellent. Being stuck on a cruise ship if things are not good could be a miserable experience.
It's one way flight from Stansted to Gran Canaria and then a one way flight from Malaga to Stansted - where the cruise finishes. Updated original post.
Is it a mistake in the OP when it says one way flight from Stansted to Malaga? Should that be Gran Canaria or is it a transfer from there?
well that's how it is! i'm not complaining
They break up on the 16th? and the 27th is an INSET day. I've been a teacher for over 20 years, and this is the strangest, bizarest, craziest half term ever.
Yep ours break up 16th back 28th inset day 27th these dates are fine for us! Just not Gran Canaria :D
Sleep in the streets I'm sure it's warmer than Manchester :3
From Wednesday until the Tuesday 13 days later!!!! How long do they have off?
