They raise the price and then give you a voucher code that discounts the price by most, but not all, of the price rise. They put things in Clearance at higher prices than it was before. They use product codes that are slightly different to the general sale item, so they can claim an exclusive and avoid price matching. Look at some of their price promises (tab on item page) and quite often they advertise they are more expensive, but you have to call them to get the cheaper price. Over Xmas they increased the companies they price match against up from the usual 6, but included Poundland and Harrods, just so they could quote numbers in their marketing blurb. Need I go on? If there is a more misleading and dishonest retailer out there than Currys, I'd be really surprised, and I'm not even going into the poor customer service and alleged dishonesty and borderline fraud that has been suggested of their store staff.

You're not keen on Currys then?

Does anyone know of any good white mechanical keyboards?
Obviously this set is better if you want corsair gear but you could get:

Logitech K120 £8.98 - has a latency of around 30ms which is the lower end for keyboards.
Logitech g203 £24.99 - Very good mouse
Mouse Bungee £6.99 - Massive QoL upgrade for wired mice
MM100 mouse pad £7.99 - same mousepad from this set
Zalman ZMMIC1 Lapel Microphone £6.36 - A much better mic than you get on most headsets

And you still have nearly £45 to spend on a decent pair of headphones or just use a pair you already have.

Would I be a to use this as a computer speaker?

Technically yes, using the 3.5mm connection, but while I found this tiny speaker amazing at filling a room (it's seriously, defies the laws of physics amazing ;-) with music over Bluetooth, when I plugged it into my TV to test, it sounded awful compared to my TV's internal speakers.
So it might be ok as a PC speaker, but don't game using it over a Bluetooth connection, sound will likely lag behind on screen action...

I just use this app play.google.com/sto…pot

it enables your phones hotspot as soon as the phone connects to the car headunit with Bluetooth. My headunit then always has internet from my phone. also means my phone is always up and running as a hotspot for my kids to use incar as well.

I never bother with Mirrorlink stuff, just install the apps you want on the headset instead..

and for the times when my wife or someone else is driving my car i have one of the Three freedata sims in the stereo's 3G slot that gives 300Mb free data each month. This has always been enough for the odd google maps requirement if needed.

Bought a pair to see if they were any use or not, they arrived about 20 mins ago (amazon apparently have a time machine that allows them to do 6pm-10pm deliveries at 5pm). Sound quality is... a lot better than I was expecting at this price, frankly! Pretty good bass. They're definitely on-ear rather than over-ear (unless you have tiny ears). I've not tried the mic so I've no idea if that's any use or not. They're very lightweigtht though and I wouldn't expect to subject them to a battering and have them remain in one piece. Just to clarify a couple of things that are not 100% evident from the pics: They're not foldable, and the cable is non-removable, but it is braided. Edit: forgot to say that they're not as loud as other headphones that I've got so bear that in mind.

With this can I turn off the soundbar and hear all the XBOX one audio? …With this can I turn off the soundbar and hear all the XBOX one audio? Watch TV, Play games etc?

Yep.

The headset adapter has buttons for volume up/down, muting the mic, and also changing the balance between game/media audio and voice/party chat. Unlike the 1 ear headset that used to come with the original Xbox One, with a stereo headset all audio can be heard - not just chat.

If you have a newer controller with a 3.5mm headphone socket on it, you don't need to use the headset adapter, however, I still use mine as it gives you handy physical buttons that are right there at your fingertips, rather than you having to go into the guide to change the audio settings/volume/balance. The headset adapter works with all Xbox One controllers, including Elite controllers.

I got a couple of these back when Tesco did them off at something stupid …I got a couple of these back when Tesco did them off at something stupid like £10.They broke within a few months of use. The hard plastic band around the sides snaps incredibly easily by just putting it on your head. This results in the headphone hanging and requiring tape.Sound quality is good for the price range but not fantastic.I personally can't recommend them because of how easily they break.

I think you may be confused with the cheap nasty ones that are very thin plastic. These are thick and durable.

Had Pioneer tuner and amp then, first hi-fi was Amstrad reciever then Rotel 802, those were the days.
This appears to be a cracking deal. Spec mentions an HT mode so might also appeal to those wanting to add to and improve their existing av set ups. amazon.co.uk/Ank…WH/

I have both and can connect both at the same time to my S8, it is very obvious all the bass is coming from the Soundcore 2. The original is a great little gadget for a present etc, but if you want a decent speaker and don't want to spend 100+ on a bose the upgraded model is the one.

Received mine today. 2 day delivery from their UK warehouse.

Surprisingly good sound quality with great bass.

Bluetooth connectivity is quick and consistent.

Connected to my Android TV box and able to watch TV more loudly at night without disturbing anybody and with the sound being beamed directly to your ears instead of around a room, you get to hear all the things that might otherwise be missed, which makes the experience feel more real.

Popped in a 32Gb Micro SD card and plays MP's well with good quality.

There is a continual although very quiet beep in the left earphone and a very slight amount of background noise but nothing that is annoying and you quickly find yourself forgetting about it unless you consciously think about it.

Whilst they do not claim to be noise cancelling, external noise is kept to a minimum thanks to the overall fit over the ears. If you have unusually large ears then they may not fit as well as others.

They are light and comfortable and not overly snug that you find with others that becoming uncomfortable after a few hours use. The rubber padding under the top of the headband feels flimsy to the touch of the hand but when worn, does it's job well.

Have yet to find out exactly how long the batteries last but so far I'm up to 4 hours of continual use.

Th FM radio function is useless, although I suspect that not many people will use it and not something that I wanted anyway.

Connected with the supplied wire also works well.

The buttons to control volume etc are clicky and perhaps don't have a premium feel to them but they work, so not that much of a downside really.

The only annoying feature is that whilst you have a Micro SD card installed you cannot use the Bluetooth functionality and so have to remove the card to do so. (Correction: I have found the way to cycle through modes to allow the card to remain in place).

But overall, for £12 delivered from their UK warehouse via Royal Mail Tracked 48, I would give them an 8 out of 10 for performance satisfaction and pretty much 10 out of 10 for their value.

They say that you get what you pay for and in this instance I got incredible value for money.
