Don't Panic! How to find what you need in the new site

First of all welcome to the new HUKD! Here's a few quick tips we have put together to introduce the new navigation as well as some new features.

1. Navigation. Where did the forums go?

Don't worry no information has been lost! The forum list page is now gone but it has been integrated fully into the navigation of the site. The top grey navigation bar now holds the categories and the forums - the second row has all the old forums and you can click on the name to load that "forum". If you prefer to see the forum-type text style click "Text Only" in View Options.

The top navigation bar also let's you combine the navigation - so if you want to see all items in category "Computers" you would want "Computers" selected in the first row and "All" in the second row. If you want to see all "Computers" in "Vouchers" then select "Vouchers" in the second row.

The View Options enable you to (a) toggle between the Full view and the simple forum-style view (b) include or exclude Expired offers and (c) exclude offline deals.

The main addition to navigation is the Hot, New and Discussed tabs. These tabs let you sort the listings to see the items rated by temperature (based on time made hot), the newest submitted items and the items most recently discussed (typical forum view).

2. Submit! The new to start any topic

The red Submit! tab now leads to a universal page where you can start any topic in any of the forums and categories. This includes Misc, FS/FT, Deal Requests. The process for submitting deals has now been simplified to make it faster and easier.

3. Custom tab and alerts

If you are a registered member you now have the option of building a Custom tab. This tab will use the same settings as your alert preferences which can be found in the Customise page. You can set your Custom tab to show a dynamic list of any criteria (for example Vouchers in category Computers with merchant Dell).

4. Search

There is now a search box on every page. This search will lead you to the search page which has a narrowing filter on the right. So now you can narrow down a search once you've made it by clicking a category or forum on the right to restrict the results.
