108 Augmented reality cards for use with ipad / android.
I was so impressed by this I had to post it....sorry ;)
These are on special at the moment for just £7.82 (this will vary slightly due to conversion rates) so please don't expire it if it goes up or down a few pence. :) Normally they will be £23.47 (so Banggood says....)
I think your kids would love them too!
Here are some video links for you.Video 1Video 2Video 3http://img.mydigoo.com/digoo/products/original/201611/1479260881_1.jpg
how many weeks did it take to receive the item and did have tracking information? Thanks
I haven't got it yet lol, I only just ordered it before posting. Probably sounded like I was impressed because I already had a set - sorry - I just watched the videos and was wowed!
I use Banggood quite a lot and 2 weeks is the average - 1 month latest. I have never had tracking on my items (though you can pay for it if you want) and out of 100's of orders I have only had a couple get lost in transit, which were swiftly refunded (always open a case with Paypal after 1 month of waiting, that way you are covered and if it turns up you can cancel the claim)

Maybe a stupid question but can't quite make out from the links
I've already got a barclaycard platinum, is this a different card i.e can I apply for it?
I'd like to know too (guess who)
JJMPSP
Question:
I currently have no credit cards as I prefer to pay for things straight up. This Summer I will be going travelling and require a 'currency / travel card'. I've looked at the benefits of all the major card companies and am close to deciding which one(s) to get. Should I now consider getting this card instead if currency exchanges are high to any currency from GBP £ and there are no interest, ATM, or chip and pin terminal fees? These benefits, plus no minimum topup as this is a credit card seems like a good deal to me! Also, do banks tend to charge if cards are unused for some months (I intend to use this for 2 months max)? Sorry for all the questions, I did try research myself but would like to get the opinion of those who use credit cards more frequently!
No charges if you don't use it. I only use my Halifax Clarity card when I am abroad - about 3 times a year. If you prefer to pay straight up then the next nearest thing is perhaps to use the card issuers mobile app and pay off the balance a couple of days after you use the card.
It's good that there is no interest on cash withdrawal abroad. However, another article by MSE re MasterCard v visa rates.

If you've never had a credit card you may not get the credit limit you're hoping for...

Having said that you can "load" the card by paying money onto it from you debit card and therefore increasing your available balance

I would definitely recommend this for travelling but obviously be vigilant at ATMs for anything suspicious

No charge for leaving the account dormant no

Not bad at all, I got mine from there sister company mobile phones direct and they sorted me out with a brilliant deal 24gb unlimited minutes/texts on Vodafone with only £7.99 upfront and £42 a month, so I believe this is legit and if you want this device it's worth the punt, mine was a pre order and arived in the advertised 8 days early window lol I got into an argument on another site as I was told it was impossible but I provided evidence and they shut up X)

Better rates than Thomas Cook, travelex and post office for mexican pesos when I ordered last night.

Be aware the best rates are for online orders delivered to store or home. The walk in rate is slightly less
Used John Lewis in store yesterday @ 1.142, still the same today.
Thomas Exchange always has the best rates.
I always normally go throught Travelex and do a price promise versus Thomas Exchange so you get the same rate without any postage fees.
Currently better than Sainsburys at 1.1475
However, given the amout the that most people take/spend on holiday money, the differnece is practical terms is negligible.

i'll just clarify that the '£1 more' is actually £1.77 which is 13% more and closer to £2 if want to round things off
what would be stupid would be paying 13% more for something you dont need
you need it then pay for it
you dont need it then dont pay for it
"you need it then pay for it, you dont need it then dont pay for it"... simple but hard to understand for some people here. I'm using grey Evo Pro in my DSLR but orange Evo still works fine in my wife's little Canon Ixus :)

As I said, this is a market with so many providers that competition really does push prices down. WP were happy to waive terminal fees in my experience too, the client for 5 of them for a 12m deal. At a flat 0.85%, credit and debit, inc AMEX.
Don't think anyone looking at this would be dealing in 12m !. This is a deal for light users not those trying to get people to contact them for referrals which clearly some of these comments are aimed at.

12 month! Admittedly their take is more than a few pence (around £750k) but that isn't perversely high for anyone selling stuff.

Many thanks, OP.

Picked one up yesterday to use with my Joggler running Squeezeplay. Works great out of the box. (Just set to external audio in squeezeplay settings).
padamowicz93
What are the advantages of using one when compared to normal sound card in my laptop?
Depends on the audio chip that your laptop has, but often the onboard solution has a decidedly non-flat frequency response curve, see the review I linked above for an example from an Acer 1810TZ; often this is not explored in reviews of laptops as most people don't care. Bottom line, if you tink the sound on your laptop is pants, get a USB sound card.

This Xonar U3, however, doesn't do 24-bit / 192 kHz (only 16-bit / 48 kHz) so has a pretty big limitation with BluRay etc. The Xonar U5 or U7 would, but they're never this cheap.

Thanks, was looking for a cheap yet decent USB sound card, ordered from Amazon!

"Discount Card Price" I assume you have to apply for a discount card, hopefully quick and simple (edit - apparently the discount card costs £5 a year but perhaps worth it). Seems to be the same price on Amazon but not in stock, shipping free if you have Prime.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0001GS19K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1 (click on '6 new from £23')

The pictures suggest they are different revisions of the same model. The magnifying glass frame in the Go Outdoors model looks like the one in my old Victorinox Swiss Champ, which unfortunately broke off (my fault, I should have oiled the hinge mechanism semi regularly, it seized up and the magnifying glasses housing snapped when I tried to prize it up with a screwdriver). Good price, either way.

@pavel76 That's fine. But I don't think you understand why I posted this. It's to show that the Samsung card isn't that good of a deal when you can get U3 for a couple of pounds more.
Samsung is better card for money if bought on prime... Toshiba writes at min. U3 speed, not huge difference then and many people might consider Samsung Evo+ as more reliable card...

I bought this yesterday in the CoOp in Bangor :-) The Flora was reduced to £1 so 90p with discount. Apart from that everything was really expensive, ie a normal cheap packet of sausages was £2.50!!!! Not worth shopping in even with the discount card.

It really is expensive! 4 pints of milk is £1.40 or 2 for £2 even when everywhere else it is £1 or less. I only went in for this cos a good price with discount. All the stores near us accept NUS even the small ones.

The small Co op near us - used to be a Post Office has very good discounts on fresh stuff after 8.30PM - closes at 10

The rest of them I don't know how they survive!!

The Co-Op NUS discount is a joke. I've got three Co-Op's near me, none of them accept student discount.
We have 2 in belper (small town) one near me takes it, other one 1 mile away doesn't.
Apparently one is coop north franchise, the other is coop midlands.

that must be it then, help the poor Northerners

Are you sure? I haven't posted my own link, was quoting BeneCog as above. Whatever the case, yes HUKDs way of linking and Santanders site don't play nice. If you copy and paste the text for the link into a new browser as I mentioned in my original reply it will work (right click copy link address won't as that takes the HUKD redirect URL).

I am looking for a card for my Nikon d500, which one would you folks recommend? Thanks a lot
not a microsd and not a low end like this for a start start
your camera can use decent cards

if you need to cheap out then would look at sandisk extreme as a minimum standard
or the red u3 kingston, 95/85 transcend etc
or could spend more and use uhs-ii or xqd which would be even better

Better than the Samsung kicking about?

No. Not better than the new Samsung Evo+

People has to know that 300x is towards the lower end of spectrum. This is not a particularly fast card in today's standards. Its speed is justified in the low price.

Lexar has 300x, 633x, 1000x, and 1800x.

FEEDBACK TO ALL:

Further to my previous posts, MSE showed that their was a higher likelihood of her getting the Virgin Money 40 months interest free card, so she applied for it. The balance they set, despite asking if she had any balances to transfer, was £6,500 just 2 grand short of the full amount she needed.

They have said she can write in to request an uplift, which she has done, and if successful she will be able to transfer the remaining balance and bee 100% consolidated with no interest.

At present, she has basically cut her interest by 76% which is absolutely brilliant.

It's thanks to this site and the chat from you guys that this was possible (even though it was a different card!), so thanks to the OP and all those who contributed!

keep seeing people say this is a good card if you have debt on another card but i have a loan with a bank and im paying it back over 30mouths at 3.9% which i thought was good. would it be possible to take this deal and somehow pay my loan off and pay the lower rate using the deal?
No mate, this would only apply to balance transfers from other credit cards. You're stuck with your loan.
Not strictly true... There are '0% Money Transfer Credit Cards' which would give you a cash amount to pay off your loan and you can then pay that off gradually from the card. There is, however, a small fee for doing this - the lowest starting at around 2% - which is added to your total balance. See here for more details: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/cut-loan-overdraft-costs

and what is the "low" balance transfer fee? I'm a seasoned stoozer so only use 0 fee and 0% cards.
There is nothing like that, what will the credit company gain by giving you 0% interest and 0 fees for 3 years??? thats like a 3yr interest free loan, unheard of...
I gave 8 examples 3 posts before yours... Admittedly they're not quite 3 years, but there very much IS something like that.
That's not this card though, so just making sure he didn't apply for this one and cost himself a bomb.

To think these were nearly hitting £10 only a few months ago. Retailers up everything because of Brexit even though it has no affect on this stock.
Pound is down, costs are up. Inflation is up. Things are going to get even more expensive soon enough.
Thanks leave voters. Cracking job
You're quite welcome matey :D
Not everything is brexit, looks like it is due to supply chain price increases, as these were £10 at the turn of the year and early December, well after the pound dropped.

Try telling that to hotukbeard I voted leave

That would be existing stock already under purchase agreements and likely on base in the UK. Electronic goods are normally priced in $ the countries and people's purchasing power and net worth has dropped because of brexit and prices will be going up. Electronic goods normally drop in price fast and get faster too we are yet to see catch up through technology gains overtaking our currency weakness. I voted remain (studied economics) hold a lot of my net worth overseas. I also worry a lot less about people coming here to work with our aging population that needs a stronger tax paying base. Plus the weather here is rubbish would rather retire somewhere dryer/hotter. If our pound is worth enough.

Do not buy the 128GB U1.

Last time I bought U1 Toshiba card, 9-10MB/s write speed, even below the minimum speed required to claim U1.

And the price is bad too for a U1 card.

Good for galaxy s8?

I was looking around for the best option for the galaxy s8, and if you have amazon prime now (I live in Londond E14) , you can pick up the 128GB Exceria Toshiba M302 micro sd for £37.89 ( you could ofcourse also use a new account, and spend £50 in total to get £20 off with the code LONDONNOW , but I've used it twice before and didnt bother with it), could deal imo, and almost instant delivery.
