charity always starts from home.

You would think wouldn't you. Given the number of higher end earners and middle class earners "at home", it begs the question, if charity begins at home why then are there any people living in poverty at all in the UK?
everyone deserve to give their views please don't get offended.
charity always starts from home.

Cold, we should look after our own first. I would have no issue with giving to other countries if there wasn't poverty in this country.
Our own? Human beings u mean?

No, British

Which British charities do you donate to? PS Ukip doesn't qualify.

I said pretty much the same thing, I don't vote UKIP (Although I will be voting to leave the bloody EU). I am in no way racist and regularly donate to British charities.

People are people. I'm sorry I don't share your views that poverty stricken British people deserve my money more than other human beings.

I'll admit that poverty exists in the UK, but those are select cases. But on the flip side of the coin there are whole villages in parts of the world with no clean water, shelter or food.

Even the disabled and terminally ill in the uk enjoy a better life than those suffering without water in those villages, facts.

Or you could just donate cash - they get the extra tax rebate if using Gift Aid, 40% tax payers get an extra 20% relief and you can keep your Nectar points for something else e.g. a double up event where they have more value.

Good cause but for most tax payers not the best way of donating unless you really have no other use for your points.

Minor point but this isn't really a freebie as you're losing the value of your Nectar points and at least in Deals it will probably get more exposure.

But that's not true. The government spend 'your' money all the time, so you don't choose who, when and how much. But weirdly the time you're objecting to the spend is when it's for UK charities that do great work. Very odd..... Out of curiosity what government spending DO you agree with?

this is a pathetic exercise by the government! our tax money being used to generate goodwill for them!

I agree! How DARE they give money to the likes of Banardos and Age UK. How evil can they get!!!???! The fact that they are trying to encourage people to help elderly neighbours etc. at the same time is just the icing on the cake - I don't think I've seen anything this evil since Hitler.

The only pathetic thing here is the likes of you - so arrogant and conceited that you cannot bare the idea that the government might get a bit of good PR even though it benefits charities in the process. Grow up, you are acting like a toddler.

Toddler? Maybe if you learnt how to spell better and got out of your diapers you would see that charity is given of free will. Not used as an advertisement of your generosity using someone else's money.

If I want to give my money, I will choose who, when and how much.
Wow Isobella, that's amazing. It's great to hear lovely stories about people like you. Please register it on the This Morning website and make it help even more. It's people like you that make the world a better place
Have been taking a lady into town as her husband has dementia, she has an amazing sense of humour and makes me laugh with her latest story about her husband. Just recently have also been taking another friend of hers into town save her waiting in the rain. Also have been clearing out junk, have taken 3 boxes into chariety shop so far. Plus last couple of weeks have had a friend staying who is having a marriage issue, thankfully the short break has helped them both. Trying to do a daily good deed

Hate Macmillan. They did nothing for my mum when she died from cancer earlier this year.

All they are good at is publishing leaflets and making glossy commercials.

I would never give them a penny. After my mother died we donated to cancer research uk.

sorry to hear about your loss x

Great link, thank you for posting.

For those who think this is an Amazon PR stunt, it's not. Amazon pay up to 5% to websites who link to them. MacMillan have just applied to Amazon associates and are taking the commission as charity income. I'm not sure if that will make more people use this or not - but I hope it does!!
Bushes
I think the tax issue should be firmly directed to the politicians in power who have allowed it and continue to allow it. Ask them why.
It's obvious why. Corporation tax discourages foreign investment, so any loopholes in such encourage foreign investment.

The right thing to do would be to scrap corporation tax altogether to level the playing field for homegrown businesses, but unfortunately that would be electoral suicide because the public are dumb and think that corporation tax is some sort of magical free money from the sky which doesn't affect their own pockets.
Thanks for posting OP, I wouldn't have known about this if it was buried deep in the other, but also worthy RNLI post. To mirror other's posts, Cancer has hit far too many times to close family members, some good outcomes, others bad and I just hope one day that they can some how stop this unscrupulous killer from doing so much damage to so many people's lives.

Good that these sort of campaigns donate but wish they'd just do the positive act without needing to generate publicity / likes / gather customer data in the process.

Someone has gone to hospital after eating horse meat
Don`t worry they are in a stable condition
However, they have found traces of Donkey....so are renaming lasagne as ASSagne.

I though that was the name of the new film about Wikileaks.
They're obviously doing it to get people into their stores. Good marketing scheme.

Gave up after 4000 grains, but learned few Spanish words, reminded myself of different chemical symbols, did some maths.. Great site, will repeat that again later today! =o)

Good to see people getting something out of it aswell ^-^

Been using this, on and off, for years in the school I teach. Every so often, usually near the end of a term, I give the classes some time on the computer to answer theses questions, do some simple math, etc. Good way to build up quite a sizable donation of rice.

That's a really good idea ^-^
