This is a lovely box set at a very good price. Blu-ray quality is very good as previously stated and region free. For fans or collectors this is a must. You will not be dissapointed.

Has this film been (well) remastered? Because IIRC the original film was pretty bad with lots of frame judder.
It seems that it has been cropped :(

I'm not sure from my own experience what the picture quality is like, because I haven't watched the Blu-ray yet. I read some reviews before purchasing and the general feeling was that this was the best quality it has ever been, with the framing identical to the originally-televised version but in full colour. It also appears that both the Blu-ray and DVD are region free, but don't quote me on that.
2.2% quidco cashback is available too, which brings the price down to £30.41.

Did you buff it off like your suppose to?
yep, i had washed the car first as well so glass should have been nice and clean and applied. buffed but like I said left a nasty film all over. decided to wash off.

In that case this product shouldn't affect you , unless of course you spray it on your eyes ?

Coincidentally I got one of these in GAME yesterday. Definitely worth this price :)
Whats the actually game like? I heard it got pretty bad reviews? never played one of these, whats it similar to it terms of gameplay?
I haven't played it yet so can't help you there, seems it's around a 6-7/10, and a turn-based strategy kinda game
No problem let me know when you have! I remember owning a really old one maybe 15 years ago and I was a big turn based strategy fan but just couldn't get my head around it and cant remember anything about it now..

Thanks for this
Regularly this price and not worth it. Might seem like a lot of kit but it's ultimately a weak blender with loads of futile accessories. If you want smooth but don't want to go too expensive the 700w Nutri Ninja Lite would be better for the extra £10. Much better at crushing ice and reducing those gritty textures, but if you want max performance the 900w Ninja would be better than the 600w Nutribullet nearer the £60 mark. I'm particularly fussy so I have the higher power one but I have lots of friends who own the Ninja lite and are more satisfied with it than those who own the magic bullet/nutribullet.
Just reserved one thinking it was the nutribullet lucky i checked trying to trick us with the bullet in the name 200w not powerful enough. Thought it was to good to be true.
Can anyone confirm, does these bullet type blenders handle hot drinks okay?
The best bang for your buck blender I have came across so far is the Salter Nutripro 1000.

This item is on the shelf (if they have it), so why not just buy it in the usual way from the store? Why do you need to have someone else get it from the shelf for you, and why do you think that service should be free?
agree with previous comment about Tesco's c&c charges for under £40 spend. I'll be giving them a miss now!

A great place to start.

You could use these to create a 'sealed' event between friends.... Everyone buys one, you get together and open them at the same time, build the best deck you can in a time limit of say 30 mins and then play.

Most of the cards in this box are about to rotate out of standard play, which is why the price is low.

Matt

im sure its okay to use to play for fun.. most people have no intention of tournament play

Ordered this about a week ago, was surprised to find it so cheap. It has pretty solid reviews and seems like a decent Animal Crossing type sim. Hope the fishing is as good.
The fishing is... Press a button, a fish appears.

Oh...well, it might still be fun for the price :)

Good price by 7Digital. I note that the Amazon pricing of The Magic Whip is nonsensical --

£8.99 for CD + MP3, or
£9.89 for MP3 only

i.e. at Amazon, pay MORE and get LESS

Plus physical CDs are more valuable to consumer as CDs can be resold second hand... making Amazon's pricing levels (at time of writing) even more ludicrous.

Good point about falling prices of music. It's been cannibalised by digital: piracy, streaming "all you can eat" services, and of course official paid downloads. These days bands make their real money from live shows (Blur @ £170, plus booking fees, for two people at Hyde Park this summer -- no thanks).
BruisedRomantic
I remember paying £13 for their 'Blur' album on its day of release in 1997.
Did you also pay £13 for their '13' album ? (_;)

I might have even paid more as I got the limited edition white box version. My brother went down on the day of release and bought us both a copy. I still have mine unplayed (we just used his), including the little white polythene bag they packaged it in in HMV. Must be worth a fortune now. I just need to pick my retirement island and then I'll cash it in.

It's definitely my least favourite Blur album anyway but that might be a consequence of the previous one being my favourite and so my expectations were too high, and also my tastes were changing by 1999 (although I do still like Think Tank).

This is a great price for a brand new album (£9.49 elsewhere so a definite "hot" vote). I remember paying £13 for their 'Blur' album on its day of release in 1997 and so it's strange how quickly we've taken for granted that music will be cheap.

That said, I've had a listen and can't hear anything that they haven't done before, and especially since this thread has appeared, I'm spoilt for choice:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/google-play-albums-1-99-play-store-2194845

I might finally buy Bill Withers: Still Bill, if I don't get distracted by other albums, which keeps happening each time it's on offer.

Thanks will try a SCART connector first and if that fails will try the optical route you suggested. I completely overlooked the scart connector. Found one on ebay for £1.30 UK supplier with Scart in/out switch to 3 x RCA.
Thanks for the ebay link never knew these were so cheap! I have a lot of 5.1 and 7.1 content so will see if the TV downsamples to stereo to the SCART, not sure if the optical out is downsampled (perhaps there is a setting on the TV?)
Thank for the link and the great suggestion!

I am not sure how a SCART adapter is going to help you get an audio feed out of the TV? It is the TV Speakers amp circuit you want to take a feed from, or bypassing that the optical feed as I suggested.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but surely only audio that outputs via SCART would work? Say if you were watching TV via inbuilt Freeview or an external settop box whether it be Cable/Freeview or Freesat then that would be connected via HDMI input, the SCART socket would not come into play at all.

Optical out is already downsampled to stereo, hence why the adapter has RCA Left/Right and phono jack. The volume control is independent of the television however, so the only concern I would have with using such an adapter would be low volume.

Maplin do sell one with a volume control dial for £49.99 I have not researched if you can get one much cheaper.

The TV does take 5.1 content from devices connected via HDMI (optical does not support 7.1 formats which are lossless only HDMI would supply those audio feeds into a dedicated receiver) and outputs them via the optical out, if you use the external speaker option and have the setting as 'auto' then any transmitted dolby digital 5.1 feed is output. There is no 'stereo' option.

Remember all an optical cable is doing is throwing out digital 1s and 0s, it is down to the receiving end how that is processed. With an AV receiver it is looking at whether it is a standard stereo or 5.1 DD/DTS feed and analoguely outputting that info to the relevant speakers with the power to amplify.

All a digital to analog box would be doing is taking the 1s and 0s and outputting it analoguely in stereo regardless of whether the original feed is stereo or 5.1 DD/DTS, without amplification.

A cheaper way around the Maplin option with volume control would be to buy what I have already suggested on Ebay and an inline amp for headphones such as a Fiio E06 or hunt for a cheaper inline amp.

I downloaded the LG remote app and it will not work if the TV is off. Hardly a replacement for a remote. Very poor implementation.
Can anyone confirm if the BT on this unit support A2DP to allow BT Headphones.
I've a 50" Plasma LG from the recent JL Pricematch deal with PowerElectrical and can find no audio out for headphone use?

I cannot see how this can be possible at all.

The bluetooth element of the wi-fi module is for marrying itself with the magic dongle. There are no settings within the tv menu with the wifi/bluetooth dongle plugged in to have it as discoverable to pair with any BT headphones.

Your best bet is to buy a Digital Optical Coax to analogue converter from Ebay for six quid and use wired headphones. My own optical out is being fed through my receiver, HDMI ARC is ropey and the tv keeps switching back to the internal speaker.

Thought about getting one of these but the Android LG TV Plus app works like a charm - has a trackpad, text input from phone and a scroll bar. Makes the magic remote redundant unless you like shouting instructions at your telly.
Can you post the link in the play store please? Thanks I assume it is a free app?
As cicobuff said, except it's "LG TV Plus" and requires your TV to be hooked up to your wifi, but since it's a smart TV you probably have this done already. It's free and official. Works like a dream and the trackpad/keyboard is so much faster than using the standard remote.

Thanks yes mine is wired into the home network, which include Wifi.

Using the TV build in DNLA player can I direct the sound output to a RCA output or 3.5mm jack output? I want to do this to supply my wireless headphone (when watching at night with the sound muted on the TV) Bluetooth audio might be an option for streaming the audio too.

really These go for around £13 including postage on ebay as i just brought and use this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IR-Extender-Hidden-Infrared-Repeater-System-1xReceiver-4xEmitter-WST-/301198160118?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_RemoteControls&hash=item4620cf30f6 for about £6 that works flawlessly. and has the amazing bonus of being powered by USB, I power mine by one of the TV USB ports.

Ta just ordered.
Do you have to stick the emitters to the equipment or can they just sit on an opposite wall for example?
£13 off of eBay Inc postage
I bought one of these from China a few years back and it works flawlessly running off of USB for power.

May be cheaper off of eBay as I believe mine was under a tenner, but had to wait maybe 2 weeks for delivery.
