I'm Using iPad and the "get deal" not showing on any deals, can anyone help??

Scroll down, then you will see get deal in top right corner
It really irritates me how airlines discount these 1-stop flights yet the same part of the flight on its own is much more
Excellent deal I paid £200 per flight more for same dates
Great thanks. 8 nights in Orlando in November from Glasgow via Gatwick for £320 with BA. Been going at this time for 10 years and this is by far the cheapest deal I've had. If you can't get the deal on the websites in the link, the BA sale is on and they only came up £10 dearer for me.
Anyone who can help with best prices for London-Orlando, mid march to 5-6 April. Indirect not a problem.
Thanks

If you need help planning the route for your roadtrip, Furkot is awesome (although it is a little complicated to get in to at first). You tell it roughly where you want to go and how long you want to drive each day and it plans the optimum route, recommends hotels (and optionally books them!) and can suggest other places to visit near to your route. Well worth the effort to learn how to use this amazing tool.

Made our 3-week, 3,000 mile East Coast, Miami-to-Boston road trip a breeze to plan and we were able to edit and update the route as we went along (and always had the assurance that we had enough days left to comfortably make it to Boston for our return flight).

This is the kind of trip I dreamed of doing with the wife but now we've got a kiddie going to school it doesn't look like we'll ever get to do it.
We did a trip by coach with all locations and hotels arranged. The only independent excursion being to Alcatraz. It was fairly tiring due to the long distances even with someone else driving and they knew where they were going. Good luck if you think you can cope.
Explore Las Vegas and San Francisco in a day?

haters gonna hate... :-)
I don't get people's hate and I worked on it :) but excellent deal, heat added!
I thought this was a great game, an open world, mission based driving game like NFS Hot Pursuit or Burnout Paradise, but with a pretty decent storyline and some neat features not used in car games before.

One of the few releases over the past couple of years I actually wanted to try and complete 100% on.

I just don't get peoples hate towards it :S
i found this quite a decent game (OK, maybe with a couple of downsides) but overall bargain for when you get bored and are in need of an adrenaline filled joyride or just want to stamp your authority on the bumper of the S.F. community

I was looking at this phone before Christmas for my kids (ages 3 and 4) they are always fighting over mine and are desperate for their own. If I could get a new customer deal I will be getting this for them one each means 2 new accounts ;) hot from me. As long as my boys can get apps they will be happy, to them this will be amazing.

Please don't get your children mobile phones before first looking into concerns re; the effects of exposure to electromagnetic radiation in children.

My bad - I actually have a Defy, but knowing the love there is (or was) for the OSF here, I came across this as CURRENTLY the BEST deal if you were wanting THIS particular phone. I accept many people's arguments/opinions that it's not necessarily a "hot" deal, but I'm surprised it's generated such strong feelings. If you're not interested, why click on it and comment? Ho hum, shall consider whether to bother next time.

@tryn2help: avatar is Pilgrim Pete, Plymouth Argyle's mascot (sorry if your know)

If we all posted deals just based on 'the cheapest' then the site would be full with zillions of randoms products, and we would all be getting mucho heat.

A deal is something more than just the cheapest.

whats a crap product to 1 person may be just what someone else is looking for. just because you wouldn't touch 1 of these, does that mean nobody else should?
Rickardo
Lol - the more expensive deal (if I'm allowed to use that term anymore) for this phone, posted a little bit before I originally posted this, is only -11! But without the sniping comments!

Hi Rickardo.
Don't take any of the 'sniping' personally.
I think the vast majority of people are looking at this deal both from the 'value for money' aspect and in comparison with what else is available for similar money.
Frankly, most of us are surprised it's not cheaper.
Nevertheless, the majority of us have great memories of this 'special' little phone and I'm glad you posted this deal because it reminded me of these 'great memories' - so thanks for that :D

Re 'Pilgrim Pete. I thought it was a character from the children's programs. . .however . . Green Armmmy!

Refusing to vote hot, as although technically the cheapest on the net, as said its old tech and its been cheaper before! Yes its a decent enough starter phone, but £49 would be a more realistic price.

If anyone argues, then I'm going to start selling my own sh*t at £99 a blob, and this site has to vote it hot, as no one else sells my sh*t cheaper.

Put my name down for 3 blobs please. Bargain

I am now selling mine and is newer than Jaydee and comes with crunchie bits. As such Jaydees are no longer hot but mine are steaming!
[quote=mark_398]@tryn2help: Thinking about Defy or Acer as a next phone after my OSF.... Since you have both, what would you pick?

Hi Mark.
I'm not really qualified to say (other than personal preference) so I will leave the 'techie' stuff to others.
For me, I just think the Defy is going to last a little longer than the Acer, and that really is the main point.
There is really not much between the two so for me it all comes down to which one is the more durable and least likely to be problematic - and I'm guessing the Defy will outlast the Acer.
That's not to say that the Acer is not durable or is problematic - it is just my guess that the Defy is better in those areas.
Sorry I can't give any better more informed reasons ( I really like both phones :D ).

The jelly case is crap, doesn't fit, its the second one ive had from pre pay mania and both are the same.

They should be numbered,

Peel the blue number 1 side off first, then stick that carefully onto the screen. Once its on you then peel the red number 2 side off. Then after that push any bubbles out.

Make sure you clean the screen first and dont get any fingerprints on the screen protector or screen.
How the hell do I get this bloody thing on lol!!

Due to the build quality of the SF, using a screen protector causes dust and lint to be channeled into the phone, leaving dust under the screen. Since Orange don't provide proper customer service (they will probably blame tge issue on me rooting and unlocking the phone!), I'm going to have to take mine apart to remove this dust.

Should've got an iphone 4. If it wasn't worth the £400, it wouldn't be bought in such large quantities. If you are a die-hard money saver, you're going to end up with inferior stuff.
sorry what! maybe you were too retarded to put the screen protector on properly

I just went to my local tesco extra store (Colney Hatch Lane) -- but it is not stocked there. It isn't on tesco direct either .. so I wish I could buy this, but can't seem to locate it.
This cradle does cause the phone to bounce around while driving, if you adjust it so that it rests on the dash it's fine, and I have use it a few times like this with no problems, good little cradle for the money.
I'm pretty sure I bought this when I got the San Fran a few months ago, if it's the one with the flexible neck it bounces all over the place when on the move, even on a motorway. I ended up buying one with a rigid neck from a T-Mobile shop for a couple of quid more!
Seems like a great price to pay to turn your phone into a sat nav. Heat added

Have they? Isn't it just that they sold so well that they ran out? Plenty still around at Argos, if you check the stores.

As for unlocking, isn't the supposed problem on the later phones more to do with flashing than unlocking?

Orange have plenty of these in stock, and according to manager of cpw these are now orange shop exclusives, so i am just going by this, hope it isnt true as that sucks

As for unlocking, isn't the supposed problem on the later phones more to do with flashing than unlocking?

It's not just a "supposed" problem but a real one. Some 0B10 examples have been no trouble at all while others happily accept various ROM flashes but do not reliably boot every time with the touch capability enabled for the screen. Avoiding multiple reboots (until the touchscreen works properly) when turning on is probably easiest avoided by never turning it off once it's working properly.

Other symptoms have also been reported with these new 0B10 versions which typically involve complications in achieving the first flash - but perseverance and intelligent twiddling seem to win the day in such cases.

I haven't seen any reports of unlocking problems and agree that mazsuper may have the wrong end of the stick.

Great deal! Been debating getting one of these since late last year (when the OLEDs were first out, should have got one then but oh well!) Finally picked one up today and so glad I did! Great phone, can't fault it for the price, rooted and installed a froyo rom with no problems whatsoever, quick and easy to do.

With the £20 credit it's supposed to go on the new sim - first I went to the Orange shop in Cardiff on Queen Street (near M&s) no signs to show this deal but guy checked and told me it was on, but would only put the credit onto a blank sim. So I left it and went to the smaller orange shop down the road in capitol and the woman who served us was great, they had the offers up and I explained we have a few pay monthly and payg phones in the family and asked if I could put the £20 on a payg phone so it;s not wasted and she was fine with it. Even left it as a top up code so i could use it on any phone.

Again, great phone, thanks for posting op!

I used h2testsw on the blank card as soon as it arrived and got the results posted. Thanks for the SD Tools tip - will give it a try. As I mentioned, even though the card is only rated class 4 with an actual write speed of 4.60 MB/s, I've barely noticed the performance difference with the class 6 card it replaced. Turns out that the class 6 card has a write speed of 11.2 MB/s determined using the same h2testsw. Makes it all the more surprising that I didn't notice any significant difference in real world performance. I guess I must be doing more read operations than write and both cards were similar in terms of read performance.

http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Micro-SDHC/Verbatim/Verbatim-32GB-Premium-Micro-SD-%28SDHC%29---Class-10 Verbatim Class 10 MicroSD for £59.99.

Though..the rating is strange: "Class: Class 10/Read Speed: 10MB/s/Write Speed: 10MB/s". My memory2go Class 4 is rated faster! So, it's either a typo or a slow card.

Bought one of these. Tested it immediately and got the following results:
Writing speed: 4.60 MByte/s
Reading speed: 17.5 MByte/s
So the description on the website is definitely wrong but the card does meet the class 4 rating (and exceeds it by some margin for reading). When put in my HTC phone, the phone operated much the same as it did with a 16GB class 6 card. Very happy with the product.

Not sure if you're referring to my post, but I mentioned Class 10 cards and mymemory.com's quoted low speeds.

There's an Android app, SD Tools, which tells you the Read/Write stats for your card..or you could use h2testw when the card is blank. My Memory2Go Class 4 32GB has similar speeds to yours.

surprising, the first OSF deal ever to attract these many cold votes. Some of the voters seem missing the point that, there is a chance to get an OLED phone.

Yeah, I saw a post on another forum where someone had got one from an HMV/Orange shop back in December and thought it might be worth a look for anyone local that was after one.

this one should have been on coldukdeals.com

There is NO chance of it being an OLED screen unless its a refurb.

Free Orange Pay As You Go Sim @ Orange

The Orange San Francisco is out of stock from lots of places, but is seems to be available in reasonable numbers if you call Orange and get it as an upgrade, for £76 according to a recent post.

NOT FREE if you have to apply a £10 topup..... FREE means you get something, without spending a penny...

The sim's free - the £10 top up is £10. Hope this helps. Not really a deal (as such) but hey
However, after applying the £10 topup, you can then get a phone for £76. At Argos, the phone £89.99, if you can find it in stock, and you still have to pay £10 for a topup on that.

With this, you pay £86 and end up with £15 credit on the phone. At Argos, you spend £99.99 and end up with £20 of credit on the phone (there is a bonus £10 thrown in).

You can then spend the topup money, and then unlock the phone for free and switch to a cheaper deal - Tesco/T-Mobile/GiffGaff as you see fit.

http://www.icheckstock.co.uk/ is pretty good for searching for Argos stock. You enter a catalogue number and a post code and it checks for stock at 10 shops at a time. You can also set it up to automatically check for new stock and send you an email when stock comes in.

For instance, the white San Francisco is 518/6644. The grey one is 518/6620.

At 13.28, the Bishops Stortford branch at CM23 3XG has one white San Francisco in stock.

Cheers for that link, might come in useful in the future!

Don't know if anyone is still reading this thread, but it seemed like a good place to start :)

I got one of the above mentioned OSF's and it arrived with a £10 credit sim voucher thingy on it, as have some or most of the others.
I have a Orange monthly contract, the sim from which is now in my OSF and that's that.

I happened to look on the apps market earlier and there's a couple I wouldn't mind getting, but you have to pay for them, such is life.

Have just been looking round the interweb to see if I could find an answer to this;
Is it possible to purchase apps from the market using the aforementioned PAYG credit?
If I have credit on my phone can I purchase apps with it?
Think that makes sense :D

The answers I found seem to suggest you couldn't, but most of those were from 5 years ago when apps and stuff were only just happening, so don't know how up to date the info is?

Was just a thought about how to use up the £10 credit (well that and the other £25 credit I have from other phones I've bought and sort of can't use?)

Just wondered if anyone knew?

Thanks in advance

PS. If I can't use it for apps, any suggestions how I can buy something using it, or at least do something with it?
Thanks again.

My Quidco got declined 2 days ago.
I never made a claim, but just looked at my Quidco and it has increased to £17 as well.
My quid co as just been increased to £17? i had 2 transactions for it originally, one for £12 and another at £0, i put in a claim for the correct amount but that got declined, then when i look today its showing as £17, oh well looks like i'm losing a pound, but at least i didn't get the £10 airtime with mine, which means i got it for £67.15 when the quidco finally pays out.

I'm tempted, but don't want to use the Orange network. What's the best unlocking option for this and how much?
You can unlock it here for free. Just enter your IMEI number, found on your phone under the battery or on the box, click ZTE in the next box, then ZTE San Francisco, then click order. It generates a code. Put a non Orange sim card in the phone, switch on and enter the code when asked, job donehttp://www.nextgenserver.com/calculator/
Thanks unlocked after using up the £10 credit.

My son got one of these last weekend with his SanFransisco; It's a nice promo set to get as a gift but I think valuing the gift box at £70 is rather optimistic. The watch, for example, looks good from a distance but is, in fact, made mostly from plastic; It'd never sell for £55. Sorry Orange!!!

Got one of these from the Orange shop this morning. Verdict - OK because it's free. Gifts are worth about £5 in total. Even better though, I used Orange Perk and got £20 off a £30 handset.
whats orange perk?
Orange Perk gives you discount of 10% off a monthly contract or £20 off any PAYG phone priced £30 or more. Certain public sector workers plus 4 of their family or friends can take advantage of this "Perk". They have leaflets in stores and all I did was produce a payslip, the shop assistant did the rest. You sound as though you haven't been.

Millions of people do go to New York (as I have) and have a great time. I've heard plenty of horror stories about the way people have been treated in France and Spain and... anywhere people go, there will be a few who have things turn out badly.

I'd heard about New Yorkers being rude etc. but found everyone there to be very friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful time.

The only thing which holds me back from the short-notice offers right now is that the weather is ice cold in February. You can get freezing temperatures and snow in NY into March.
