Do give us a shout when that happens, the campaigns were fantastic. Too old for that frantic multiplayer though.

Got it for £6.98 many moons ago. This is no deal.

Actually it's the best deal anyone's posted for this on HUKD ever. Sure you're not thinking of one of the other SC2 games because even IG and eBay currently cost several pounds more than OP's deal?

he must be in haven't seen a price that low for this game yet. the other expansions do go to that low

I've been meaning to pick up/play the expansion packs. Now I can finally own the whole collection and still not get around to playing them ;)
I'll end up buying it I just know it. If this was on Steam my subconscious would have completed checkout already.
Starcraft's not on Steam though so you'll have to settle for battlenet if you do want it regardless of where you buy it :p
True. Was just saying if it was available on Steam I'd have bought it while asleep or something :p
This isn't meant as a dig at you but I always find it odd how beholden people are to Steam and how reluctant they are to even try playing games through Origin, Battlenet, or, heaven forbid, DRM free (Uplay I totally get, no end of bad experiences with that one). I get that it's convenient having everything in one place but Steam's not significantly better than those platforms and a few extra clicks to load a game/ a few extra mb of space for the client doesn't seem like a significant downside to me.

I personally use Origin and like it almost as much as steam. The one thing they need to really implement is the ability to move installed games easily.
The main reason why I'd pick Steam over even DRM Free GoG is to have everything or as much as possible in one place. I'm happy spreading my games across 2 clients but any more seems to be start to get a bit messy to me.
I've now been forced to start a collection on the Windows Store due to the play anywhere scheme which is yet another place my games are stored but at least that's part of the OS.
Maybe it would be different if Battlenet had more games the appealed to me but I think if I pick this up it will be on its own for some time.

Yes, you're correct. Apparently it became a standalone expansion pack in September of last year.

Guys, on cd keys and g2a you can buy Starcraft for about £6 and it comes with both versions as standard now. Whichever version you buy, it just is standard.
Sorry mate can you explain what you mean? I only see Starcraft II 2: Wings of Liberty £9.99 and Starcraft II 2: Heart of the Swarm £6.99 therefore about £17 for the 2?
You buy heart of the swarm and get wings of liberty included anyway.
Found this on battle.net - For the regions that have a standard box business model such as North America and Europe, yes, Wings of Liberty will be required in order to play Heart of the Swarm.

Not true, they recently made it so that either version includes both versions as standard if you enter a cd key into battle.net.

Looks cool. I love Board games but my mates don't. I have been known, in the past, to play games like Risk, Block Wars and Space Hulk with myself. Kind of sad.

I have nobody to play with, I have never even played risk, not once in my life. £14 quid is a total waste of money, especially a few months before my wedding. I'm sure my fiancee would kill me if I ordered something that would never ever be used in this house. Or at a friends house.
Ordered one anyways.

They dropped the ball with these games, the most boring RTS ever and they ruined the story from the first game.
I don't know if you are trolling or not, however I'll bite - Starcraft & Warcraft are probably 2 of the biggest and most played games (10 million+ Warcraft subscribers, 6 Million years worth of logged game play)! Starcraft even has it's own tournaments with prize funds of $250,000! I don't know any other eSports that have that amount of following or prize funds. Let me know what RTS is less boring than Starcraft? Personally I have never played Warcraft (and I don't really want to see the film), but Starcraft, well I have been playing it from when I was an alpha tester back in the day (1996 IIRC)!
I guess it's your opinion, however I thought it best to add a little fact and to challenge you to qualify your remarks...

Why you keep it online? Close a deal and that's it. You don't know where is this option? Always I am happy to help you....
I reported it as expired, I'm not a mod though so can't expire it myself and even reporting it requires you to notice the price has changed. Also I don't really care, as anyone with sense knows that deals over a week old are likely ended, there are literally thousands of deals still unexpired from the last year, it seems somewhat pointless to point it out on any of them posted more than a week ago. If you want to though I'm sure I've got a few other deals that were never expired so you can post expired on them too.

Starcraft II (2) Collectors Edition Legacy of the Void - £49.86 - Shopto.net

Seems to be the cheapest I can find the collectors edition. Amazon.co.uk are about £5 more expensive (at time of posting). Mixed response to this as no exclusive art book and no mouse mat, but h…

I have pre-ordered, but half tempted to cancel as I am not that bothered about the DLC and the book (not artbook) you do get is not exclusive.
With all the negative feedback it is receiving, I cant help but think it will still be around under £30 in 6 months.
I didnt think it would get this cold though as it is the best price I could find.

A lot of peeps are (Rightfully) annoyed as most of this thing is digital, somehow they stripped even more physical content (I thought WoD's CE was bad but nope lets yoink out some more) yet seem to think £60 plus is an acceptable price and are putting their foot down. I'm getting mine for completionist value and have a preorder sitting just below the £45 mark thanks to that £10 off a £50 in August days after it went up on Amazon but honestly? It's a really REALLY lazy effort on Blizzard's part and shows how little they care for physical when they can do digital shinies far cheaper.

I can only hope the amount of peeps saying enough is enough makes them realise or they stop entertaining the idea at this point. They managed £50 for ages bar some higher like WoL and vanilla Diablo but money grabbing seems to have taken over in that regard. Shame :/

Yeah this has been the lowest price I've seen but it's what the CEs WERE before Blizzard started jacking the prices up above £50 as they removed things from it.
Still annoyed there's no proper Protoss artbook like the rest.

That's a load of money for an "old" game collectors edition aside. Loved the original but never played this one for some reason

Cheapest but probably not the most logical price, hence why the cold votes... I heated thou ;)

Bought both these games for £5.89 each over a few months ago from cdkeys, activated on battle.net fine and completed both the games...so if anyone's interested in these games hang about for a better price...not going to vote hot or cold, don't like to cold any deal even if they're not good deals...
If you don`t know, steam/origin have started to ban keys bought from sites like g2a/allkeyshop and so forth(apparently some of the keys are hacked and sold on these game key markets), you may never know when blizzard does the same :)
All in for getting a game cheaper, don't get me wrong but this is good offer coming straight from the developers and not thru resellers.
I post rarely here and not because I am afraid of bad feedbacks, is just that I am keeping everything for myself :).
globula_neagra
Don`t know, but you could post your own deal and share it that way, maybe it gets thru. I know you can get it cheaper, buy using alternative resellers, but this is straight from the blizzard, much more reliable :).
More reliable in what way?? It's just a game, it's not like you need a warranty.

Fair enough but that's like only buying from Steam and relying on their best sales when a normal discount price is much lower elsewhere from resellers.
I don't post deals on here. I tried but too many pathetic (heat ranking)ego's ruined any interest in sharing. You see other people say the same quite often.
Well said. me too I stopped posting deals because of the pathetic snidey answers I got (they came away with metaphorical bloodied noses, mind. I don't take it lightly !)

It's £7.99 as standard at CDkeys, sorry but cold
It works out more expensive to buy from CDKeys - as you need the Wings of Liberty package to play the expansion...
Not if you buy HotS from there and WoL from Blizzard :)

Whoops - I meant to use this link
I should also point out to those new to this (5 years on the 27th July! March 28th 1998 for the original) that the starter edition is free!

SC2 is amazing. My friend and I clocked a hefty amount of hours on 2v2 multiplayer. Single player was great too. Definitely worth a buy, at least trial it!
Careful - link takes you to Heart of the Storm for which Wings of Liberty is a prerequisite.

I dont know how much the mobile app had updated but im always trying out and flashing different mobile roms and was always getting locked out my account using mobile. so purchased one of these. I think all big companies should use them for security.

Must have for anyone with a Blizzard account IMO, that said it's cheaper to get the mobile app these days. Had my authenticator for years though, still works.

Yeah, it's more for the novelty of having it over the mobile app.

Ohh magazine ratings? LOL what an idiot....
There's not really any need for that is there? The metacritic score is an average of 68 professional reviews and the game comes out with 86 out of 100, with only 1 "negative" and 1 "mixed" review. That's pretty unequivocal. The average user score is 7.8 out of 10 which is favourable without being overwhelmingly positive. You are completely entitled to your opinion, but it seems you aren't the consensus. I much preferred the original Starcraft as well, one of the greatest RTS games of all time. But it is also made better by the goggles of nostalgia. I agree Wings of Liberty was probably marginally better, but I liked the extra element that came with basically using Kerrigan as a one woman army. Yes it could have been harder, but hey so could a lot of games.

GO ask anyone who owns the game what they think about it, i dont care what meta critic has to say or anything else, most of that **** gets corrupted anyway.

If it was good id say it was good, its not good, and even the player base says its not good, once you buy it ask in game what they think of it and they will say it could of been 100 times better....

DONT BUY! The new exp will be out soon and im sure it auto updates you with this for free!
No, no it wont. Stop making things up.
Actually he is right about Blizzard Battle Chests items. Look at the WoW battlechest, that used to be just the first two and it now includes more due to the release of more expansions.

What a strange comparison. WoW is a fully online RPG where this is RTS. New one won't give you the previous parts.
