Title is self explanatory. 50% off 2013/14 shirt. I'd expect 2014/15 shirt to be very similar so seems like a bargain if you're a Yeovil fan/know someone who is. There are a few Clubs with HUKD pos…

The shirts aren't available without sponsor.
Heat from me.. Great set of fans - Hope you survive in the Championship..
From an LCFC fan.
Heat added just for the hoops.
Heat because it's nice to see a smaller club on the forum

Good question, hadn't thought about it. I'm popping into the club tomorrow but looks like online is £4.00 shipping. Perhaps flat rate? I'll find out and post back :)

funny how the £1 iphone 5s lightning cable lasted 3 months more compared to my original lightning cables
bought one today and it works fine, I will only use the cable during the day and not leave the device unattended though.
To be fair can't be any shoddier than apple's own cables. Mine feel apart after two months. Goos times.
Mine broke (stopped being recognised) after three days. Two more left so I'm wondering if any of them will last the month! Have kept the receipt and packaging so I can take them all back like any cool dude would.

Re the Cex thing, not sure how legitimate it is to trick them into thinking it's a Lightning connector when it isn't. I go there fairly regularly so don't fancy being banned.
cheers. As usual someone beats me too it again.Durrr

I would clear the shelves if my store had stock. Get through loads as they lose bounce after a few hours play. Still usable but nowhere near as good
I can confirm 5 or 6 packs left in Trefforest/Nantgarw Extra around 19.00 as I picked up a few. They are 75p normal white label not even yellow reduced yet and scan @ 75p no problem

If this is a nationwide deal then I'll be voting HOT :)

when this was 74p, it was found @ a store in Newcastle, so I assume that it is, given that Newcastle is a couple hundred miles from here.

16 metres square is the average size of a family room in the UK. Thats 4 metres by 4 metres or about 12 foot by 12 foot (roughly)

The BBC saw fit to publish an article on "Average Room Sizes" so therefore the logis of "average distance to TV" applies; that is to say whilst an anomaly may occur where someone sits 3 feet away from their television, the likelyhood (or AVERAGE) scenario is that the couch will be on one side, and the TV on the opposite side (note, corners etc in this hypothesis are fine too).... This means that the AVERAGE viewing distance from couch to television is around 8 feet.

You are aware that manufacturers of televisions spend MILLIONS on user research to determine technology cost to effectiveness ratio and therefore determine price point for the products they manufacture.... you honestly think Sony or LG or whomever are going to release totally ineffective and overly costly products into the market without having done research to determine if the user the product is targeted towards is going to purchase them.......?!?

Please tell me you are not the hope for the future of mankind.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8201900.stm

Unfortunately your post is an example of the common misuse of the word average and what that particular measure of a sample tells you.

In the interests of clarity, what you appear to be talking about is the arithmetic mean. Given an attribute such as room size, the arithmetic mean doesn't tell you what the most common room size is. The arithmetic mean is in fact of little use without knowing the distribution characteristics of the sample in this case. The mode would be a better single measure to calculate the most common room size.

A simple example to illustrate would be the following sample group:

4 rooms of size 4 m^2
2 rooms of size 8 m^2
2 rooms of size 48 m^2

The arithmetic mean of that sample is 16 m^2. But not a single room is actually that size. The most common room size is in fact 4 m^2.

I also find it amusing you've used the THX recommendations on ensuring a minimum FOV to try and argue 1080p is not required by the "average" viewer on a 32" set. It is precisely because 1080p was the minimum resolution at which one could fulfil the dual requirements of meeting the THX recommendations on FOV and not being able to discern individual pixels that the resolution was eagerly awaited. :/

Spoke to the manager at the Yeovil store first thing Monday morning as the boxes of the remaining sets they had did not look factory sealed to me. More like they had been open before and resealed. He advised that the sets were from a batch of seconds/customer returns.
So you pays your money and takes your chances.
I have had good returns/refurbished laptops form Argos in the past so you can get a bargain.
Just keep your receipt in a safe place as most of these flat panel tv's can only be repaired by replacing the main board, which is expensive.
I would also always buy with a 5 year warranty i.e. John Lewis, M&S or pay for the extra warranty.
You can then write the total cost off over a guaranteed 5 years.
It is not a bargain if it goes pop after 14 months.

Both sets looked factory sealed to me. Once opened they are both unmarked with all accessories sealed in bags. Screen bezel still had protective plastic wrapped round and looked 'new'. I would be suprised if they were customer returns or seconds...
I do agree though when spending on a more expensive TV, I go the John Lewis route with a 5 year warranty. Although the sale of goods act basically says that these things should be expected to last about that time anyway, so if it does go pop, it will be popped back to the store.;)

Bought the last remaining 2 on the shelf in Yeovil on Monday morning. Got to say for the money the picture and sound are excellent. Very pleased with my purchase - thanks to the op for an excellent post.

Just as an aside... Why do people spend so much time singing the virtues, or otherwise, of certain products and get into 'mine knowledge is better than yours' type discussions on so many threads? This site is dedicated to finding and posting the best/cheapest deals for a particular product or service. Probably best to keep it that way, and allow others to make there own informed choice as to the deals merits, rather than them sifting through endless comments from 'experts'...

Great TV, in my informed opinion, for the best price - end of...

I would avoid Minky they are very flimsy - The last one I bought lasted no more than 6 months before the height mechanism totally broke. As my previous ironing board had laster 20 years I was less than impressed

If its a two year warranty you'll be all good then no? I wouldn't mind it breaking every six months and getting a new one!!

Have to agree. All the welds holding the Iron stand together have broken on mine. It just looks like whoever made it couldn't be bothered.

people should just register not to donate and then the numbers would be reversed!
Scotland Sunday Mail. Check out the article on page 40-41, amazing story (trust me), so get yourselves on the NHS Organ Donor Register.

96% of people would happily donate, but only 38% are registered! Don't delay, text LIFE to 61611 and be a hero.

Anyone else having trouble getting a signal through HDMI?
Just picked up a scuffed display model for £33.30, but got it home plugged it in and I'm not getting any picture :(

Will try a factory reset, but looks like it'll be returned.
spudchops, i think your missus did what i initially did and picked up the 3D Blu ray version, went back to fixture and after a bit of digging picked up 2 for £37 each, one of my room and one for jnrs as i can't get tv signal in either room so thought the [email protected] would let me access BBC iplayer etc... so far i have to say the apps i can find are pretty tat... there are only so many kitten films you can watch on youtube... will be looking online to see if there is a work around unless anyone on here can help?
£149 in my local tesco, missus got it scanned and same price. Tesco Suck. lol
