Any tips on getting to Hull from London without a car? Also I can't seem to get this deal working, 2 foot passengers, Sunday, to Amsterdam, 1 cabin, but it's not working at all.

December? Nah you're alright..

Nothing from dover. Sigh

There is no yellow for me (mobile), but did click mini cruises. Tried a few dates in December and they're all over £100 - didn't accept code either.

make sure you are clicking the minicruise button at the top of the yellow banner first. from thier website it says sunday-thursday sailings between 6th nov until 28th dec.

Be aware that the evening flight back from AMS is often delayed and sometimes cancelled.

I've used Amoma a fair bit, no issues. I used them for my Amsterdam break, different hotel. Its always worth emailing the hotel directly after booking to check they have received your confirmation.

Any reviews about this website?

Stayed at this ‘hotel’ and decent enough rooms for the price. Rooms quite small, particularly the bathroom area. Easy enough to get to the main tourist areas by free boat but found this quite annoying having to time my returns appropriately to fit in with the crossings. Probably wouldn’t stay here again as for the first time ever was sea sick (doesn’t help that the boat also moves quite a bit as well). If your on a tight budget then certainly worth the money.

Ok thank you :)

Mini cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam £30 with DFDS Seaways
Found 12th OctFound 12th Oct
Price based on 2 people sharing, return. Selected departures until 29 Dec. Book by 14 Dec.

Takes about 18 hours to get there, you take a 2 hour coach ride to amsterdam, you get about 4-5 if your lucky on motorway traffic. Food on the ship is about 39-50 pp each meal

You sleep on the ferry 2 nights and I love Amsterdam so I'm going to call it a cruise :-) Wouldn't thank you for a trip on one of the big cruise ships that travel round ruining small island economies with a load of people who think they have made it because they spent £8k on a holiday lol

A long ferry crossing is now marketed as a mini cruise? Can I interest you in tickets to the London M25 slow car parade? Perhaps the Heathrow cavity check? Free background checks included and the opportunity to upgrade to the intensive conversation package. Or maybe my patented wallet weight loss plan? How secure is your internet banking? We can test it!

I would tell. How you can say I wouldn’t be able to tell difference? Statement like that makes me think you actually know nothing about vodka

I've tried most including ones that you cannot buy over here. Like I said vodka is vodka. I'd put £100 on after 5 shots if I switched a premium vodka out for Russian standard you wouldn't be able to tell it had been switched. I recently just bought a £40 bottle from m and s in a black bottle. Small batch 7 times distilled and charcoal filtered. Last month I bought a 1.75 litre of crystal skull for my collection.

Totally agree. This is a cheap watch but even at this price the are good quality watches you can buy. I have a cheap Seiko automatic watch which would make far more sense than this. It is very ugly as well in my opinion, but that is preference I suppose

So they just use a heritge watch makers name ..I gets it ..

Movado are not a brand as such, rather they are Group which includes licensed brands such as “EBEL, Olivia Burton, Coach, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Scuderia Ferrari, Etc.” ..... all of which are mass market fashion brands.

Would you class Movado as a proper watch brand.

Never understood why people buy watches made by brands that clearly don't specialise in the watch-making industry. So strange. You are buying garbage, I'm afraid. Put the money towards a true watch-maker.

I was in Amsterdam last week and it's busy but didn't have any issues at all. It's very safe and such a beautiful city. Maybe if you are in the main stretch of the red light district at 2am on a friday night/saturday morning it might be different, but even when i was walking through the red light district at almost midnight on a thursday, everything was fine. no different to walking through Leicester square in London when it's busy. Also the red light district is only a few streets in the middle (De Wallen) - if you are easily worried/bothered then just don't visit it and stick to places around the very nice Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht Canals

It's really a good deal~ thx

I went a month ago and stayed in a different XO hotel and it was really nice (XO city centre is only £40 a night if you don't mind a room under ground without a window (lol) ). If you fly I'd recommend getting a transport card from Schiphol airport, at the IAmsterdam shop because all Amsterdam transport is card only, unless you have the correct change each time.

Brilliant city !!! The drugs are a bonus (party)

I go almost every month, usually by car. It’s still lovely and feels safer than London.

Agreed it is odd and not something I would normally go for myself but went with some friends and was a lot better than expected, doesn't beat having your own room though with an ensuite. The zoo wasn't to bad, do a river sight seeing cruise and of you like a good select of beer check out Proeflokaal Arendsnes.

That's good but still seems odd to me. Thanks for the extra info. As you have been here, any recommendations for places to go?

SRated here before not as bad as it seems. They are very clean and the showers are essentially individual rooms as are the toilets.

Shared bathrooms? Between how many rooms?

I've done the North Sea 4 times in the last year, but via the Stenna Line, and have always found it totally fine and so did my friends - but people handle sea travel differently and with it traveling across further north this boat may be worse. If you're London or elsewhere, and you don't like flying, just take the Stenna Line from Harwich, get a train to Amsterdam and then book a hotel stay for 2-3 nights. It's a wonderful city and needs much more than a day to appreciate - less than a day would just be frustrating. It's a expensive city to eat drink and stay in though, so I suppose in terms of 'going for the sake of it' and it being cheap, I guess this is a good deal.

15% Quidco could track too.

Just park your car at Royal quays shopping centre in North Shields,it's only a few mins walk to the ferry terminal & it's free

Is there a run on Cunard Cruises at the minute ?. This and the 24 night December cruise are ok pricewise. Food will be fantastic, some nice ports of call and I would imagine the Queen Elisabeth is stunning.. Still way overpriced for me though. A 12 night cruise to the Canaries in December with P&O for just £712 is far more reasonable. Their drinks prices are similar to pub prices and you can take onboard a bottle of spirits or wine per person. Just did a cruise on the Queen Mary 2 and everything was on the pricey side (didnt dare have an alcoholic drink). Shopping Mall certainly comes to mind plus the awful gaming machines in the casino. A bit overdone on Cunard I think. I still think that cruises are fantastic stress free holidays (Ive been all over the world by plane, train and coach and all I can remember is the stresssssssss). Virtually zero stress on a cruise and fantastic for kids . I was also really pleased to see how geared up ships are for disabled passengers of any age or disability.

19 nights on a floating shopping mall with high speed controlled "trips" ashore. No thanks. Butlins for posers.

Food, yes, alcohol, no.

Most vodkas have "won" in blind taste tests ..even Glenn's won a few years ago. Just proves there is so little difference , apart from the price . Paying £40 upwards for luxury voddy is just giving extra to the taxman .. Grey goose is about half the price in the USA ,.. Was $26 in Walmart for 750ml and $48 for 1.75l , so hardly a high price luxury item.

It's horrible stuff isn't it (fierce)

I agree with Smirnoff. I feel sickly drinking it and It affects me the next day too.

I personally can't always identify the brand of quality vodka, but cheap vodka is unmistakable. Smirnoff Red is ghastly stuff, but I know not everyone cares or can tell the difference, especially in glass of coke.

Grey goose was branded a luxury vodka even before the vodka was created. It fails at blind taste tests. It has a good marketing team and was featured in Sex and the city. That is all that has created the reputation. The best quality vodka is green mark that is £17 per l. It wins blind taste tests for 2017. Also all weat based vodka taste comparable no matter the price and the amount of times it's distilled.

You're just plain wrong about the food and drink, there's no problem at all. I believe P&O might have restrictions on their Hull routes but DFDS certainly don't on this one. We paid £104.50 booking directly for four of us with sea-view cabin and transfers to Amsterdam. Amazing value. The kids absolutely loved being on the boat so it wouldn't have mattered if we'd only had time for lunch in Amsterdam, as long as we knew that in advance, as it was all about the trip for us. My point is that dismissing this offer is unfair as it's excellent for some people, as with most things. And it was irritating to see the "bobbing about in the North Sea isn't a cruise" comment repeated again to because someone thinks it sounds clever.

When we went they were selling 6x500ml water on the boat for 10 euro. Equivalent cost of the Costco water would be about 50p! Don't forget to take your own. Amber leaf 10x50g was about £90 200 L&B was about £70.

What you’ve compared this to is not what’s offered though is it? You stayed an extra night, how much extra was that? Agree with all the comments you get next to no time in the dam, and from past experience they search your bags before getting on cause they don’t like you taking your own food n drink in!

When we went on the p&o hull mini cruise deal, we stayed for an extra night. Well worth it. The p&o offer usually runs during autumn and spring.

It's £12 per 24 hours so only £24

Totally agree.

So i noticed some people saying they can't get the £29 fares, while i could still see them. So this is whats happening, what you have to do is when doing a search, is to select Return travel, if you just search for one way they are not offering the £29 fare, as an example On 15th April Lon -> Paris when you select return there are 5 trains at £29 to Paris, but if you select One way then lowest fare offered is £84. I hope this helps .

Blah - "FROM". They really ought to ban the word. Needed 29/3 and/or 15/4 - both are extortionate.

That’s what I was wondering, there’s plenty of seats at great prices, sometimes a little flexibility is all it takes, I guess some are expecting peak time time trains ! Glad you got got a trip sorted (y) 🏻
