Managed to get three pairs before they sold out. Checkout worked again yesterday.

If people are looking for quality lightweight socks but can't get their size on this deal, the Bridgedale Dingle twin packs are available from Blacks eBay outlet and seem pretty good (definitely thinner/lighter than most Bridgedale socks but still offer comfort and feel like they're going last pretty well). Blacks eBay store has also been included in some of the recent seller-specific discount code events too.

Have you ever owned a North Face backpack? The quality is excellent. I have a Borealis and a Jester. Both far superior to a Berghaus I used to own

Cheers for that. Decided to stick with the Nebula for an extra £3/4 as that holds 34 litres as opposed to this holding 26l.

Osprey have a guarantee that's solid. no idea if NF has one worth checking

winchman

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/osprey-womens-palea-26-rucksack/ Use code summer17 and get it for £40.66. Or if you get your basket over £50, use code summer11. It maybe the womens version but there is no outward looks to suggest that, would be fine for most people as the only difference is slightly shorter shoulder straps and a back length which is 2cm shorter, if you were relying on a hipbelt to take the weight then it would be important, but as the waist strap is just there for stability I don't think it makes any difference. The advantage is it has the trampoline type back so less sweaty, and it also has the 'kickstand', the man's Pandion version is £80 and the new Osprey version of this, the Radial is £100+

Lenser p5e torch Cotswold - £17 @ Cotswold Outdoor (free C&C)

I’ve got feit torches from Costco and are very pleased with them.

scrumpypaul

There are always codes kicking about for various decent torches. I'm a member of budgetlightforum.com and m4dm4x.com and source loads of my cheap deals from there. I'm very unimpressed with the Lenser torches I've seen/had.

snoopy18

Unfortunately its double that at the minute

scrumpypaul

Of COURSE you need another torch.....!!!! Just not one of these. Far, far better available from Gearbest or Banggood. Not voted. This dinky Klarus Mi1C in copper was £20 with a code from Gearbest as I recall. A much superior light and there are plenty of other equally excellent value options available to buy.

tomminator

I don't rate lenser torches, i had one fall out of my trouser pocket onto the floor and the lens cracked, mega expensive for low output too, Lidl have much better torches for far less , bought a headtorch reduced to £3 there a few weeks ago Inc batteries and it even stays ultra dimly lit so you can find it in your bag etc without any apparent battery drain

Mine arrived yesterday. Ordered 3 and only two delivered although paperwork states 3. Tried to contact cotswold yesterday evening but closed so left voice message. Also messaged via FB but hsd no reply. There CS number is apparently not in use which seems convenient. Rang manchester store and they have no idea whats going on.

Regprentice

Mine arrived today. At 12.00my account showed 'awaiting stock's at 12.30 I got an email saying it had been delivered to store. I'd say the XL is a standard UK sizing and not to size up.

suarez_777

Damn only XL left..you think sizes will come back at same price?

dazzler303

Picked mine up yesterday- great product and would say sizing on mine was right. They had some great bargains on walking boots as well

Great bag. We use these for skydiving military equipment. Really tough lots of space. Very light weight. Even managed to squeeze the missus into it.

Check Osprey Transporter line. https://www.carryology.com/projects/carry-awards/best-travel-luggage-the-sixth-annual-carry-awards/

phil7501

Yup its fairly easy. They unclip at the bottom then you have to unpull straps at the top, easily enough though. Personally I have a strap around that I use to tuck them in

bluntmachetti

It can, i do this all the time with my northface and mountain warehouse ones.

Andy_Green

Yes this type of duffel bag can be folded flat. I have a couple of the North Face version, great for hand-luggage or when you don't want to take a solid suitcase somewhere.

Dam I wish I'd bought two pairs now!

psygenius

These are excellent walking boots and at a very good price. I wear mine daily and have stood in 4 inch deep water and my feet stayed perfectly dry. I think I paid around £110 and that felt like a good deal at the time. Hot!

M_z

Just talked myself into buying a pair. :)

M_z

Could you not stretch ~£50 to £72 and hopefully 6% quidco? Seems like it is in the same ballpark, even if a bit over budget. Scarpa are one of the most respected brands, still made in Italy, and this boot you get a Vibram sole plus Goretex, so they should last well and be properly waterproof. Seems worth going £20 over budget for to me, as they will do their job better and last longer.

From a bit of googling and the pictures I would say so but I couldn't be sure without the dimensions. I'm in the same boat as you (going to Canada next week). Can anyone with this bag confirm size?

gottahavethat1

I've bought one for that reason. Don't anticipate a problem but will measure it when it arrives and if no good, will simply return it.

chris.greenlee

Any idea if I'd be able to bring this on most airlines as hand luggage ? Planning a backpacking trip to the USA next month and don't wanna be paying baggage costs on all the flights ?

ebble

At least it has a top which fastens with a clip, though two would be better. Most small rucksacks now fasten with zips, and they fail long before the bag is worn out.

Auric_Goldfinger

I'm not convinced Scott of the Antarctic would approve but have some heat for this price point OP.

Aldi are currently selling bags of Cotswold stone chipping’s (ivory white colour when washed). Decent offer compared to most places.
Tino1985

Yeah but BnQ bulk delivery requires spending over £100 (lol) I was planning on doing this with another company and could get similar to this for £65 bulk but then £35 delivery... only needed 12 bags in the end.

simes

If you are wanting lots of this gravel then B&Q sell bulk bags ( contains minimum 850KG ) for £40 . Its going to cost over £100 for the same amount in these small bags. Look for the the limestone chippings , they sell both 10mm and 20mm size ( 20mm is better for driveways ).

Zombied

Tell me about it!! ;(

Fury

Just wish the would completely pluck off for good! (mad)

It's a great price but no delivery option. Don't fancy picking up the required 40 bags from a store!

brilly

how big are these bags? having trouble visualising (dont tell me 20kg! thats not a measure of its bigness!) edit: some gravel calculator suggests not even 0.5cubic feet so 2ft by 1ft by 3 inch or so?

flipfella

I would put down a sheet of weed control fabric first then put this on top.

zworld

Can I put this on a patch of land where I don't grow anything and don't want weeds there either ?

Pandamansays

It's tricky stuff this - bought 5 bags a while ago, it wasn't enough, so I ordered a tonne bag delivered - it still wasn't enough!
