You missed out Retford from your list of stopping points and there are fewer than 4 Leeds service trains a day that stop at Newark but then all of this is irrelevant to the original subject matter.

Can I hop on a station between Leeds and London? Say I buy a ticket but … Can I hop on a station between Leeds and London? Say I buy a ticket but get on at Newark? Is that allowed?

There are Advance tickets, and the conditions for these tickets state you must make the journey you've booked, on the train you've booked.
There are ticket barriers at Newark, so your ticket wouldn't get you in or out of the station, and you could be asked to pay the full anytime fare.
Train companies generally now let people off if they get off a stop early if they're not doing it to save money, but that obviously wouldn't be the case if you're using a Leeds special offer ticket from Newark.

If you're trying to be funny you should make it clear. Unlike your post, I tried to make my remarks very much tongue in cheek.
Actually I find Yorkshire folk very friendly, maybe because they welcome the input of my English Pounds into their economy or perhaps the women who find it refreshing to meet a male who treats them like ladies and are not 'tight wads'
I'm not aware that it's a requirement to post a deal to visit this site. For your information I visit this site to find out what others have found and for others to make sensible comments upon. Unfortunately I have to suffer postings from people like you who think it clever to make inept remarks.

You missed the point a bit there. I wasn't talking about the cold voting, … You missed the point a bit there. I wasn't talking about the cold voting, I was talking about the general miserable and rude attitude a lot of people express. A lot of it aimed at other people who have done nothing wrong. You can have a differing opinion to someone else, but you can have the decency to be polite about it. There are some repeat offenders too, sometimes to the point where you think there might actually be something wrong with them. You have to consider if the community would be better off without them, or even better if HUKD would implement disliking/downvoting comments.

That is still not trolling, trolling has nothing to do with opinion.

If someone disagrees and is rude about it, they are just rude.

Realistically this is just feel good fodder for everyone and or a marketing ploy for the company, and also a karma grab for OP.

Let change our avatars whilst were at it to something related, may just fix some of this ****......

Have you tried being a cop?

Try being a robocop - the treatment that guy received was appalling.
It's just our rather sad society today who will put distasteful and ignorant comments about this. Virgin want to do it for the Police and good for them. Maybe it'll spur the other train companies to do the same. Not just for Police but others who die serving their country in different jobs. Shouldn't we be united?

There are good and bad Police officers, Army, Paramedics etc etc. By all accounts this bobby was one of the better ones, so let's support him and his family for his (ultimate) sacrifice.

Just let it go and say thanks Virgin.

abwood

I think some people are missing the point and some are making … I think some people are missing the point and some are making disrespectful comments which is not what this site is about.I'm sure Keiths children would have loved for their dad to walk back through the door after his shift ended, but he didn't. He won't be the first or the last Police Officer, servicewoman or serviceman or adult or child that went out to one day and didn't come back. Their families can never say goodbye and this isn't a competition as to who has it the hardest, so let's be respectful and remember what this site is for.

I think you've misunderstood. If they run the sale again on their East Coast route then the destinations can't change. They operate fixed routes on train tracks!

Maybe there is some confusion over those example routes shown above? They are just examples and not the only journey options available. This sale applied across the entire East Coast route - you just had to click get deal and find out the price for your specific journey if not listed above.
