I do hope that research extends past the likes of daily newspapers ? …I do hope that research extends past the likes of daily newspapers ? B'mth, like every other seaside town has a high level transient population due to the appeal of the wealth and opportunity. Also like other seaside towns it has a poor area associated with problems which started in the late 80s due to the recession and economy at the time. Hotels closed down and turned into cheap bedsits which attracted high volumes from up north looking for work...Scousers, Geordies, Glaswegians primarily. Thatcher told people to get off their arses and travel so that's what they did ! That area, Boscombe went downhill quickly and has never recovered. Nowadays it associated with Eastern Europeans which brings with it additional problems. Have you ever been to B'mth ?

Sounds correct to me. Always lived Bournemouth/Poole so I should know.

Not sure if national - website shows £32. Worth a go as it is a lot off. Quite oaky aroma, but I guess that must be the American Oak barrels. Silver Medal award winner in 2015.

Not unusual to be in this ball park. 'On offer' more than not. Certainly wouldn't pay £32. For that money you can sometimes pick the 'three wood' which is very nice indeed.

Not bad for 20 quid but I'd suggest it's found its value.
Amazon have Aberlour 10yo for £20.20 and Laphroaig 10yo for £25.

Much prefer either of those to this NAS offer that I'll assume has just had its 3rd birthday.

Purchased one of these from Tesco when they were selling off their garden stuff last year. Paid £1.38 (or something siily) for it. Tried it on my lawn and thought I'd broken my foot! Like concrete, it was, Ow!

Word to the wise - don't use it on a dry hard lawn and stamp on it like it was Beelzebub's nutsack. It REALLY hurts...

Current forecast for the next couple of weeks are between 21 up to 29 degrees and likely to be warmer at the end of the month so I don't think you'll need heavy clothing. The apartment has a washing machine too which is a bonus so you really don't need to pack much! Bag charges are a rip off with Thomson!

Most carry on cases weigh 2-3kg so good luck taking only 2-3kg of clothing etc etc to last 10 days, Thomson and Thomas Cook are very strict at weighing when j have used them. could just wear multiple layers of clothing though

Does my head in that they are now so strict on what you carry on yet people can weigh 100kg more than me, spill over into my seat and that's deemed acceptable

Still a good price regardless although the weather can be hit and miss in paphos in April (Rains a fair bit)

I never said where I was living now made Exeter look bad, I was simply comparing to how I remembered it when I lived there. While I appreciate it's got to compete with other cities in the UK, it's trying to be something it's not and it appears to have lost it's routes as a Roman city - I can't remember the last time I heard a visitor talking about visiting the Royal Albert Memorial Museum or popping to Rougemont Gardens to look at the original walls that surrounded the city (which is where the city's true beauty lies).
Exeter is a beautiful city. If you think it's a dump you want to to open your eyes!
I've stayed here twice and had the taster menu. Fantastic food and despite the "constructive" comments, Exeter has as much to offer as any other English city and is 15 minutes away from coast and Dartmoor National Park. The hotel decor is a little tired but it's an ideal base to explore Devon.
