You may think this is a great deal and it very may well be but it might not in the long run. :-p

RoxyK

I finally tried my PSVR at the weekend having got it on the Amazon Prime deal. Once you work out the best set up to get a clear picture it is absolutely mind blowing. And that was just the reef and underwater experience. Too chicken to try the shark experience lol.

copperspock

Yeah ditto. I have a Vita so I've firsthand experience of Sony abandoning great tech :), but thankfully there are new full-fat games coming out (Firewall Zero Hour is the next promising one, out at the end of August).

DonBhaiyya

Cheers mate... I just hope they continue to support it as I would love to give it a go at some point. I have had experience of vr on samsung gear and it is awesome. Would be great if they did more games for it though... I guess we shall wait and see.

copperspock

VR is one of those things that you really need to try yourself, normal vids just can't do it justice. If you spot any demo stations in stores I'd strongly recommend giving it a go. I was sceptical before I tried it, but a few minutes with some games convinced me. It certainly has limitations being '1st' gen tech, but even so it can very impressive when done right. Resident Evil 7 for example is on another level of freaky when it feels like the massive mold monsters are actually towering over you :). Not everyone can handle VR (at least in this gen), but for those of us who can, it honestly is a different experience.

Ask them to close the Glasgow shop down!

Sholan

Anybody else have a store near hem which is closing?

Beth_Harper

Exeter one has had sale on for at least a week now

crocodilezzz

Homebase in London Acton is also closing on 21 Sep. All stocks are reduced.

James.Crew

My local Homebase closed down a month or so back, but all the stock is bought by a specialist company, be careful, because some items they put the price up on first, then add the discount. That said there are some very good deals to be had, hardware went up to 50% off within 2weeks, power tools went to 30% off before they all started going. Personally, I'd wait at least a week before you buy anything, as my local store always changed the discount levels on a Wednesday. My store also shut in 5 weeks of the closing down sale starting. What's left on the last day is up for 99% off

Does this include the stand? Wickes are doing it with stand for £20 so seems a normal price.

yes and the way the packaging is designed the distance between the figure and playset matches the base. So you can at least play with one figure from the pack without opening it.

Funky_DealFinder

I thought that only worked with Skylanders :/ Are you sure they can work like that?

chezzz

You don't even need to open the packaging to play with them on the console. Just place the figure and playset on the base portal and it works!

Funky_DealFinder

I paid £5 for each for them about 8 months ago and I haven't even opened them yet (fierce) smh... heat added op.

We very rarely get mega deals at Exeter vale Tesco. I shop there probably too much and the best buy we ever had was a 75p batman imaginex toy. The clearance aisle has had huge amount of reduced tea bags though, lots of twinning and pukka ones reduced to clear. Bakers dog food was about 1.30 for a largeish bag but that was a couple of days ago. Best times to shop appear to be during the day for deals and clearance bits I've found.

MiniMissyMoo

Yeah, I don’t want to cause any trouble but this wasn’t found in Exeter based on the post I saw about it. I mean I know store specific deals can often end up a wild goose chase but I wouldn’t want anyone going out of their way to an Exeter store when they didn’t have any to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, people often share deals from here on there too but I just felt it was a bit sneaky, at least get the store correct.

tobybignell

Yeah it seems weird that with a lot of his deals most are store specific and seem to be and random places around the country and not local to one another as would be the case with most peoples deals being local to home I guess I doubt he's this lucky to just happen to be in the right part of the country in the right shop at the right time

MiniMissyMoo

This exact photo was shared on the extreme couponing group hours ago by a lady. She said it was Tesco Yiewsley for those wondering.

Agreed.

couturekid

Won't attend but heat anyway. Give yourself a pat on your pack if you know how to register a company, but for others that don't and want more info, this caters to them. Moreover, might be a good opportunity to network.

japes

Agreed. It takes minutes to register, it's very easy and if you can't follow a few easy steps you really need to back away from trying to run your own company.

ParadisePapers

Agreed. Even if we don't know what to ask, we might learn with other people's questions present there.

Not sure why cold. It's useful stuff to know about regardless. And it's a very boring read so a talk will probably be better.

Cheers for this, bought the two larger sets direct for a total of £28 :) Decided I wasn't a huge fan of playing the game but really enjoying making and painting the things, and I'm still only just starting off, so this will definitely keep me busy and add some paints to my small collection too, so thanks again!

TehJumpingJawa

Free postage on >£40 too. I was tempted to buy some to flog on ebay..... but the margins aren't quite there.

Dinth

Sorry, that was a stupid question. I just assumed that all their Warhammer-branded products have been discounted, but was not aware that those five figurines are all their W40K-branded products

gizmodo456

This is the lot. They are older sets from the kid 90s that have been 're released as a "teach kids to paint" The space marine landspeeder and bike are the same models that you buy from GW themselves though so they are a brilliant buy imo I bought from their actual online store on their own website. So I only had to pay postage once

Dinth

is it only Warhammer 40k or do they have Warhammer FB on sale too?

PaulT82

Just managed to find one!! I wasn’t going to go hunting for these, as I thought they would be few and far between. However, I was passing a Sainsburys, so decided to have a quick look. There was one left - probably because it was still priced at £45 - but when I took it to the till, it scanned at £27, as suggested by the OP. Looks like there are still some out there, so I hope you get lucky too.
