no recently the staff were standing in the door puishing the card!

Yeah pretty much that, to send you offers sometimes, and post the catalogue to get you to spend more. Some customers did benefit more when they started to personalise offers, but they were regulars spending a lot. Just another way of getting your information. They liked to pull out a big diagram and try to extrapolate data like spending habits with and without a card, if everyone was a card holder we'd get X amount extra revenue per customer(ridiculous expectations since you get holiday makers, kids, ppl in a rush, those who just don't want one, some don't speak English, those who have an impairment, addresses that don't exist.) For the irregular shopper not much benefit. If there is a cardholder only offer, then you can just sign up on the spot. Make sure to opt out of everything you don't want to receive.

So they can track your spending benefit at all to the customer.

What’s even the point of those cards?! I remember as a kid going in there and if you didn’t have a card, you basically weren’t welcome! (lol) Every time they still ask me even to this day, but I’m yet to find out the benefit of these cards! (lol)

wow I'll be sure to have mine on me when i next shop at matalan then!

I bought my for just about £3. Looks like they've increased the price.

Not sure if I bought one of these

Not sure if the one I bought was broken, but the writing was so faint you couldn't see it unless you angled it juuuust so.

Thanks. Ordered 2.

I bought three of these for the kids a while back and they are a bit cool. The writing is clear enough and it's a novelty thing. Wears off of course and I think reusing it for shopping list on the fridge might not be a bad idea or casual message board in the house.

I got the promo card at the cinema too, just need greninja GX to complete the set in full. They were doing it at Empire but 3D only too. Can pick up the packs for £4 off eBay though.

And cineworld, I got pichu one and psyduk Other person got pichu and bulbsaur

Do they accept trade-in on the £12.99 Pokémon card?

Here's my experience in collecting the promo cards: * Smyths - bought a regular booster pack got the promo card (Snubbul) + poster * Waterstones - bought a regular booster pack got the promo card (Bulbasaur) + poster (same as the Smyths one) * Game - bought a regular booster pack got the promo card (Psyduck) + I Choose You Pokemon Movie promo cards x3 as they ran out of posters I can't get the Pikachu one as it is only available at Odeon cinema on the 3D screenings only. ;(

Yeah, there's already quite a long thread running on this Smyths is the one you will be able to get as it only came out at the start of this week. It also comes with a poster and album, but they seem to have gone really fast. Waterstones haven't been out too long and you have to buy detective Pikachu merch to get the card, that one comes with a different poster too. Game is just buy anything. Also for anyone interested WH Smith's are doing near me a promo with and Pokémon purchase. Strangely I got a sealed Team Up pre release Moltres. Apparently doing it as they are selling some DP stuff too but don't know if this is nationwide.

Best fight scene in any movie ever (y)

2k upscaled To some extent this is a surprise. The film only received a 2K digital intermediate for its cinema release, and Universal’s 4K form book would suggest that an upscale of this has been used for the 4K Blu-ray rather than a new 4K scan being done from a 35mm print. The relatively grain-free look of the picture also implies that this is not a 35mm scan. The picture really does look stunningly crisp and clean, though – more so than any other 2K upscale I can think of except, maybe, the one used for the 2016 Ghostbusters 4K Blu-ray. The sense of resolution improvement over the HD Blu-ray is consistently and emphatically clear – an achievement made all the more impressive given the amount of non-4K CGI the film contains. Surprisingly good though it is, though, it’s not actually the 4K transfer’s resolution that steals the show. That honor belongs to the presentation’s consistently jaw-dropping combination of high dynamic range and an expanded color gamut. Jackson’s gorgeously stylized photography, especially during the New York and on-boat scenes, lends itself particularly well to HDR’s extended contrast range, and the disc takes full advantage of it by combining gorgeously deep black levels with some phenomenally bold peak whites and bright colors. The result is frame after frame that looks beautiful in a way no ordinary Blu-ray can ever look beautiful – especially the scenes in night-time New York, sequences that feature artificial light sources, and scenes lit using the classic ‘old Hollywood’ style Jackson is so keen to replicate.

Just finished watching it on Sky. Great film and the effects hold up for the most part

It's an upscale but still pretty good.

Not too sure, but either way a 4K disc is leaps and bounds beyond anything you’ll get with a Blu-Ray. I’d recommend checking out this piece on the issue here -

Yeah we had the Ninjago one and you have to choose one suitable for your own phone / tablet. This one is not a bad price but you can do the same thing with any small collection of minifigures and bricks if you already have them.

They dont. You can see from the product page there are more screen shots of the manual and they just refer to 'an animation app'. I'd have thought Lego would have made one. They've literally 100's of apps. I'm always dubious about downloading apps from the store as they are so.often full of adverts/junk/dubious permissions and its hard to tell until they are installed.

I use stop motion to make Lego movies with kids. We just upgraded to the paid version as it has loads more features. Just bought this set to add as it seems quite good value for all the extra pieces.

My son has this and it's great, worth the full price so this is a bargain

Bloody hell. As a wrestling fan, I know everything in wrestling is "fake" but I also know her bloody promos are all kayfabe. She wouldn't be allowed to say it otherwise As for the toy. 20 quid is steep for an action figure

It's likely a reference to Ronda admitting her matches are 'fake', which hasn't gone down well with a lot of fans.

How is she fake ? Would u fight her lol

I thought she was a real woman :/
