Thing is, they know that the majority of people are going to be using that account specifically because they have larger balances and there isn't anything comparable on the market unless they faff around and split it amongst multiple accounts like you did.

I'm as annoyed as anyone that the rate was dropped, we obviously all want the highest rate possible but you do say yourself there isn't anything else comparable on the market, so you can kinda see why they dropped it.

They'll need more than these offers to keep people using that account … They'll need more than these offers to keep people using that account since they halved the interest and kept the £5 fee. Only worth it if you're close to maxing it out near the 20 grand mark. I've moved mine to various banks that are paying 3-5% at the mo, and a couple are set at that for 12 months

House bills are still offset against the fee but interest rate halved from November, I may just paydown the mortgage rather than earn lower interest
Why don't they offer the same to all customers? We have the same accounts.

and in my case, when its quidco who have screwed up by making a mistake, then why should the affiliate network pay, and why should I lose out?
TCB owed me £162 for a total of two contracts opened up with sky. this would have resulted in a rather good deal. it took me 6 months of constant arguing and proof being sent backwards and forwards and after all that they only gave me £52.80 back last week and didn't even apologise. Quidco usually give around 5%-10% less but there tracking and reliability really is worth it. Someone will probably tell me they are owned by the same company but regardless they do a better job.

agreed never had a problem with either site...i set up on Quidco in 2007 and have spent 12,000 through the site getting just under two grand in cashback..never once have i not been paid ..but sometimes had to log a ticket...so all in roughly 10% over the years..other have trumped this i know..but I'm not even that consistant ..usually only use it for big purchases...my advice is always clear cache/close browser/start from scratch - we often have hot deals open and may go to the site by mistake then shut that window and go through T.C /or Quidco which will cause issues...

Who the **** wants to set off at that time of day? The deal I posted … Who the **** wants to set off at that time of day? The deal I posted gives you the option to travel through most of the day for the sake of another 3 or 4 quid

As the guy above says, you just don't get it - why on earth are you continuing to bang on about it? Tickets bought on the East Coast website will ALWAYS be 10% cheaper than the same tickets bought on Trainline. Not just one ticket, not a few, but EVERY SINGLE ticket, regardless of time, date and journey. You will not find one ticket that Trainline is cheaper for - simply because they charge the standard prices (plus fees) and EC reduce those standard prices by 10%.

Can you not grasp that?
yorxman

THE TICKETS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. If a ticket is available for £14.60 + £1.50 booking fee at TheTrainLine then it is available for £13.00 with no booking fee at East Coast. PERIOD. If a ticket at TheTrainLine at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 11pm, 5am is £14.60, then it's £13.00 on the East Coast website.

The example I gave was the first ticket available for this price. Just like TheTrainLine have tickets throughout certain days at the price, East Coast has them too.

If you still can't grasp it then show this post to a 5 year old. Hopefully they can explain it to you...

Might be worth adding that the voucher relates to TrainLine. Hot

Any virgin voucher from any third party - virgin PAY them to distribute them so you are not really getting any benefit that you would not have got otherwise.

In some circumstances the link on the discount voucher actually shows higher prices for your discount to apply to - that you would get if you had just accessed the standard site normally.

They also claim to offer refunds if you are dissatisfied - but basically they dont.

Cheers for amending minimum spend. Looks like 12 bottles for £40, which is similar to the 3 for a tenner offers you get at the supermarkets. However, some of the wine here is much better.

Sorry, you cannot use the voucher you have claimed against the wine(s) in your basket for the following reasons:
This voucher can only be used against a case of 12 bottles with a minimum basket value of £79.99
 Thanx, just booked tickets for my sister and her clan to come up for my little one's birthday party next weekend, saved £10 and they got to use the family railcard that was on offer a while back.
I just punched in the code and see that the "There may be alternative, slower routes with cheaper tickets" option does not appear.
For my journey best voucher fare was about £80 and without (on a slower route) £40 (albeit 30 minutes longer).
'Tis a good deal, but just pointing out that there are ways, for the very very patient, to fiddle about with all sorts of single fare journeys to get a cheaper price.
Fantastic- just used this today.

Thanks
