That’s my dad sorted for father’s day
Hi-Tec have it in stock for £69. For those like me who didn't know what this was, it's vibration motors in each shoe. The idea is that you don't need a map to guide you, your phone just vibrates your right shoe when you need to turn right. Mostly useful for exploring on foot but might also be useful for cycling, at least until you reach a roundabout.
None left I guess... Page not longer showing the product... Millets.co.uk has the product in stock at £45 same size 7 and 15% off is using NEWSU discount code
Couldn’t get it to work, invalid :/
Placed two orders with this company recently, and they cancelled both, stating items were out of stock when they went to pick them. Useless!
Searcher2 could I ask what you use to overlay your route on to a map and get it to sound a warning? Thanks muchly
Either code has expired, or they've stopped it being used on already reduced items :(
I agree that there is additional functionality using a phone and that some of those functions can be really useful. I’m a great advocate of technology and as a professional nav instructor I recognise that GPS / GNSS is a game changing development, allowing us to navigate much more easily. I also agree that you should use both but my view is that GPS should be used as an aid to our fundamental nav skills, so if I had to choose one or the other, it would be a paper map. Even on a large phone screen, you can only view approximately 5 x 3 km at 50K, or 2.5 x 1.5 km at 25K, which isn’t big enough an area. Over reliance on technology is causing our innate navigational abilities to atrophy, as referenced in one of my posts above, so being able to get a location instantly comes at a cost.
That old chestnut again. No it doesn't work that way. You only need to look at your map when you want to check your position. It makes no difference whether the map is on paper or on a screen. You wouldn't walk looking at a paper map all the time, no need to do that with a digital map even though it is much easier to handle than a big flappy paper thing.
I find it's best to carry a homing pigeon in your pocket in case of emergencies. They'll always get you home if you get lost...
They're ok, but don't last long - if you get a puncture / leak in the flocked bit you've had it...
No probs. The foot pump it comes with isn't great, takes a bit of effort, but does the job eventually. Can't complain too much for the price paid.
Thank you ordered. :)
We bought the flocked one last year for a couple of camping weekends. Was alright actually and did stay inflated.
Thanks ordered two Conti GP4000s ii (700 x 25) for £48.99 with P+P. :D
I get code invalid for some reason.
Then you can you use 'it', that used to be offensive, when people 'thought' they were simply either male or female!
Person is a much better way to refer to somebody than he or she if you are not sure how they identify. Also without knowing what pronouns someone likes to use it is quite offensive to use he or she
It's getting ridiculous here I can see the time when all male public lavatories will be knocked down as sexist. All references to male and female everywhere will be replaced with 'person' Maybe the third person singular will be reduced to 'it'. Goodness know what the French will do.
This is why I didn’t talk about gender...but medically speaking both sexes are different Male and Female. Your physical, physiological and mental makeup does not change just because you choose to identify as a certain gender.
This is a great deal=Hot (nerd)
I've got the 40L version, it was around a tenner. High quality, market places won't beat them. I even found some new areas months later.
Has it lasted you this far? Oh and I think you meant "bagged" one last time (lol)
Cold - no dimensions given
Thank you. Didn't realise the C&C bit. Ordered for £9.50 ta (y)
Very pricey to start with. Need about 40-50% off to get close to Go Outdoors.
Always need more space... Cheers chichi :D
Can you carry pets in it? XD
A holiday in Bath (y)
Chanchi at the gym, heat added (y)
Voila !!!!! :D
I bought one of these, however over 2 weeks later no backpack... I complained & got a refund but not happy. Bit of a joke really
Thanks op. Arrived today and very pleased with it.
Collected mine today, they were the same price in store, so that was pointless. Really nice, quality is great, loads of "areas", very light, very comfy. If you're going to be throwing it around I agree, it won't last too long. If you're not, for £10 it's excellent. Tempted by the pathfinder instead but not for double what I've just paid.
I went to one of the Millets shops to buy one yesterday. Have to admit it looked a bit flimsy, but still maybe worth the money. I ended up buying the Eurohike Roam which was labelled at £20 and looked a lot longer lasting, but the store (Bridgwater) had 20% off everything yesterday, so paid £16.
I saw them in store first at that price. So I guess you could do that and cancel the online order. They probably have a backlog of orders now...
