3p in Canonmills, Edinburgh

Stocked up for enough carrot and coriander soup for a year!
12p in Rochdale
Only 10p in Bedford!
antrandles
Redmere farms - Tesco you are a disgrace with your made up farm names!

Also they have these made up people with "their" cooking ideas. They are all Actors, phoney poo again.
Wait for the weekend. The Tesco Carrot buyer must be on drugs or getting a
fat brown envelope from the carrot grower. All stores are in-undated with them.

oh btw lot more than kilo of carrots in 3p bags
ccnp
What a rip off !!!
£0.03p at Cannon Park
ditto was large grey crates of them in Colchester for 3p as well,
and regardless of poster who said rotten ones in bag
mine were all good,
guessing reason carrots all so cheap is recent news item on Tesco website
where it says farmers had a bumper carrot crop this year, and Tesco loudly proclaiming
they saving farmers by using excess carrots in ready meals so farmer not suffer financially
blatant publicity, rest flogged to joe public as easter gimmick
Paid 19p at Aldi. Feeling ripped off now, lol

These carrots have some rotten ones in them which is why they're so cheap.
Upload of receipt and photo of the rotten ones as your proof that you are telling the truth please....

Not bothered, haha. Still worth buying, just make sure to sort out the bad ones and use them asap.
What a rip off !!!

Aldi and Lidl are very cheap for decent fruit and veg.
agreed but at this time of year I prefer to support UK supermarkets, I saved all my Clubcard vouchers all year so Christmas dinner is free from Tesco, with prices like these I'm going to have more for booze!!
I do the same :D just shy of £100 in clubcard points so its not that much but should get Christmas dinner and a drink or 2 :D every little helps, apparently! If I am totally honest, its only the points that keep me shopping at Tesco.
You do realise you aren't given points, but instead buy them buy paying Tesco's higher prices don't you?
Depends how you shop. I go for a lot of everyday value products which are often cheaper than the same products at Lidl's with colour labels and Tesco do a lot of offers including half price and I like trying different food when its on offer. I often wait for coupons and vouchers anyway. Often using bonus clubcard point offers I can come away with £2's worth of points which when used at a restaurant etc is £8 off. I much prefer the quality of Tesco as well overall. When I worked it out I was actually paying less at Tesco than Lidl not that Tesco would appreciate how I shop with them. I totally agree that if you go into Tesco and just pay their normal prices compared to Lidl avoiding the everyday value range then you will have paid a lot more. You often see Lidl's or Aldi's comparable shop savings advertised but they never fill it with everyday value items its always branded goods which seems unfair to say the least.
A savvy shopper! Well done! gotta play them at their own game.

it's by....and I never stated I was given them. I see it as an almost stamp saving scheme that you can still do at places like Iceland. Rather than save £1 or two every week. I shop as normal and at the end of the year have a nice little sum to buy Christmas things. It helps.

On a serious note, we all need to get behind initiatives like this to show supermarkets we don't care what our veg looks like but would rather stop the mountains of food thrown away because it doesn't look right.
I'm putting this on my Tinder profile.
Damn it! What's with all these great deals coming after Mother's Day?
i got this one from asda, nightmare to peel!

I have allotment, and my veg is mostly far more wonky than the supermarkets rebranded class 2 veg. Bet mine tastes better and has less pesticide in it. Parsnip price looks good though as its out of season and I fancy a parsnip, ginger and chilli soup.

Am I missing something or have supermarkets not been selling cheap class 2 veg for years?
Yes, but I think the idea is to promote "misshapen" fruit and veg to the masses as not everyone is aware of the issues surrounding food waste.
I agree with your sentiment, however I think bringing attention to "wonky" or "misshapen" fruit & veg could just enhance the issue - it means people will continue to differentiate between "normal" and "wonky" veg. I think we should really aim for all shapes and sizes of fruit and veg to be the norm, and wonky veg to just be considered as veg. Maybe I'm just being idealistic though!
I say the same thing, but I have to admit if I'm picking carrots etc. and it's the same price for a wonky looking one as it is for a "perfect" looking one I'll always pick out the "perfect" ones!
Me too, not being shallow but wonky ones are harder to peel!

:oO I also thought it was a fantastic deal........upon closer inspection they were labelled on the shelf at £2 a box........gutted! I thought the store was called Poundland for a reason....obviously not!
If you can get them for £1 a box, get them whilst you can! :D
Urgh, that's a real pain when that happens! There were no other labels or signs next to the Sheba packs, it was in amongst all the other £1 items - must be an oversight. Sorry :(

So sorry to read about your cat as I know how difficult it is to lose one and what a huge miss it is :(
Aw, bless you :) I always make a point of greeting any cat, old or new, that I meet x

Just a shame you didn't live closer to me as I'd have said to come round and share mine as they generally can't get enough attention and even if they tried to do their "don't you know I'm aloof and independent act" they would be easily bribed with some poundland Sheba ;)
Excellent deal, well done

This looks really good, I think I need to try this out, has anybody tried the carrot and butternut soup?

Yes, it's very tasty, also I like the potato and leek. Personally not too keen on the vegetable as it has sweet corn in, which I'm not keen on. There was another one.. Pulled beef maybe? No one liked that, it's very dark in colour, kinda, sludgey. The chicken tho is so nice- I make a lot of soups anyway, but they tend to be veggie ones, so it was a lovely change. Am spoilt now, can't see myself having tinned chicken soup again lol

These are pretty nice. these 600g pots are the wrong size though. 600g too much for one portion and 300g too small for one. Need 800g pots!
if 600g is too much, surely 800g will be excessive? ;-)
I think he meant so it makes two more reasonable size 400g portions rather than a 600g portion which is too large for one but too small to be split in two.
Nice soup, but this particular in this picture is very spicy.

Now o.o.s.
Karoto (in orange) sold by John Lewis @ £9.95: http://www.johnlewis.com/store/luckies-karoto-vegetable-peeler/p455320?navAction=jump&_requestid=8102238
Saw them before Xmas and was tempted, but got a cheaper version/copy from Ebay
Bought two of these (in orange) via a well known auction site for a couple of quid around 6 months ago. Parts rusted quickly even though they were looked after carefully and the peeler on the end (difficult to see from the picture) keeps falling off. OK as a low usage novelty for a couple of pounds for a short use but wouldn't recommend paying £11 for it. Sorry.

Just tried the pulled pork and I was hoping for a nice sticky bbq type flavour but it's more a Jamaican jerk flavour and lots of coriander so not really for me. Was disappointed with the lentil and bacon one as it had a similar flavour. I really want to like this soup but can't find one to suit :-(

Nintendo has a horrible policy of digital ownership. I'll never buy from eShop but they are good deals, shame

What's wrong with it?

When you get new hardware you lose everything

But that's wrong. You can transfer you NNID and re-download your stuff if you ever need to get new hardware.

In my case I lost my 3ds and you can't transfer stuff if you don't have the original machine to do it so if your wiiu breaks you're up ship creek, my games are all sat there in my club Nintendo account but Nintendo won't let me have them unless I jump through loads of hoops including filing a police report and getting a crime number.
Nintendo suck and I won't buy digital from them ever.

You need to file a police report and get a crime number when you lose something? what in the hell.
you shouldn't really. others have said that you only need the serial number of the console if you lost it. if it's stolen, then yes, you'll need a police report

I'm telling you from personal experience, you still have to make a police report if you lost the 3ds, that's from the mouth of Nintendo customer services.
That's a sucky experience though it doesn't seem to be the norm and hopefully, you can reference the Reddit thread I linked to and use it to help you along.

Not saying it's not a hassle though.

I done messing with those jokers, I'm just going to wait them out until they get with the times and register games to your account and not the console. I look forward to getting my ambassador games back but until then I'll just pirate all the roms and play them on one of the 30 other machines that run them. :{

Edit: I should add that a police report was always the bare minimum Nintendo needed to restore purchases and have been regularly answering others here that way who said purchases was irrevocably tied to consoles. Hopefully, if you have the serial number handy that can be used to speed things along.

How long do you parboil for trixyvix87? Ive been meaning to try it for a few weeks
The food items are added to boiling water and cooked until they start to soften, then removed before they are fully cooked. Parboiling is usually used to precook an item which will then be cooked another way such as braising, grilling or stir-frying. Parboiling differs from blanching in that one does not cool the items using cold water or ice after removing them from the boiling water.

That butternut squash soup is lovely, voted hot. However... after giving Asda a try again recently and having more than 20% of my items delivered either ON their best before date or within 24 hours of it, I can't recommend anyone having this delivered. :(

I had this happen to me a few months ago on a delivery around 6pm, I called their customer services who were really nice and understanding. I was refunded for all of the things that had short dates and was told to dispose of them. I am pleased to say that it hasn't happened since. Some of the things I froze, so free food!

These glorious soups are really tasty and at £1 are a bargain - heat from me.
More expensive in the co-op but have the Karalan (south indian type) soup there.
These are lovely soups, especially the Indian curry one if you can get it. ;)

I choose everything I buy... Never understood Asda's premium range tag line ha
love the tomato and basil one!
"No artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat. Suitable for vegetarians."

No taste either. I bought the broccoli & stilton one two weeks ago to try and it was frankly horrible. You expect this flavour to taste thick, creamy, cheesy, rich. It was watery and had virtually no flavour and no seasoning. The only body it had to it was the jaggy bits of what I can only assume is old broccoli stem, which shouldn't have gone in there in the first place. I had to add salt, pepper and a dash of cream. I then had to put some danish blue in it (didn't have stilton) and it STILL didn't taste like it should have. Last week I bought a carton of the Tesco own brand broccoli & stilton which tasted like it should, flavoursome and thick. There was no comparison between the two. The Tesco one was on offer for £1 too, but is normally more. I would definitely pay more for decent soup though, or just make my own.

Sorry to be a downer on this offer and I'm sure there are others that will post and say that it tastes great. :p
