Another option that springs to mind is use the Latest Days Out Guide 2 for 1 offers for the London Eye, and ice skate at the Natural History Museum. There is no minimum age, and they have a mini rink for children.

Edited By: englishpunk on Nov 21, 2012 14:46
Children under the age of 4 years are not permitted on the ice.

just spotted ^ too, so be carefull if you have a little one as probably a bit **** to make your 3yr old watch everyone else having fun.

Not at all, I've accidentally reposted deals before. Anyway, looking more closely these mugs are a different design and different colours.
Can't we just say this store will be selling Olympic Tat well into the new year for cheap, and not have anything else posted ?
posted many times. When compared to the stuff that Home Bargains had posted on here, such as breakfast sets for 99p and £40 dancing mascots for £2, this is poor.

pronounced Bom Ore my mate repeatedly tells me!

The original gaelic is bogh mòr, so it's not quite as your friend suggests, but closer than an elongated bow than many go for. I've always been taught it's a short sounding bo (like the start of bomb), with the emphasis on the MORE but again without elongating too much.

There's a useful site somewhere with recordings of all the distillery pronunciations, I'll see if I can dig it out.

Summer is probably their busiest time with bookings as the weather is a bit better. Deals are therefore more likely to appear during the Autumn and Winter.

Bank called today, wallet found by a roofing company on the A58 nothing missing thank you to these heroes, just need to find a bike now, I'm 6ft and about 15 stone, was looking at PCX125 2nd hand one, but few reviews state might be bit cramped if over 5'6!! Also looking at Sym Symphony 125 or Piaggio Liberty but not many 2nd hand ones about!! Buyer lined up for car, great timing before Xmas!

ah, great news all round then! im 6ft, and well, alot more than 15st, thats why me and 125s dont get on, i can hear them wince as i approach. get out to the local garages and sit on them! then you'll know what you're going for
cheers for that, leaning towards a Vision 110cc now, yes maybe a little under powered but hoping it will be fine for a first bike some good reviews, not to worried it will only go 55-60mph tops as I thought 30 was fast enough the other day!! I'll put my other questions on the forum now! Thanks again

Always cold but really these cards at this price are hot!

Instead of the odd Pizza Express free main course voucher you can go Sun to Thursday and get 2 4 1 on ALL courses. So use it twice for at least 2 courses for two people and you get your money back. Then after that you get great savings. Why don't people get it! Lol!
It's enough you will go with your partner/friend twice a year to a restaurant and you covered that cost. Most of us go at least twice a year if not more, so great deal in my opinion.

Am I the only one who can't find an seats at the cheap price? Are they all just sold out now?
^ true. I've been to europe by coach twice. There are definitely benefits not having to carry luggage about, queue for check in, queue for security, queue for boarding, queue for luggage collection, queue for coach transfer. Plus waiting time at airport and hassle of parking / geting a lift. Given the choice I'd still rather fly but don't think coach journeys should be ruled out so easily. I spend 50 hours a week sat at a desk though so maybe my tolerance is pre conditioned :)
not a 6 hour flight but by the time you get through the aiports, flight time transfer to lyon. also this drops you off in the city centre which is great, a bigger saving i personally wont be using this ticket but i think its a great deal.

Edited By: saywhaaat on Nov 15, 2012 22:13
16.5 hours. Save your life, even if you earned National Min Wage, you would be better of working extra 8 hours and catching a flight.

Some people just post anything.
I dont think you understand what this site is for, its to save money, europes in a double dip recesion, you can fly if you want but thats still going to take 6 hours or so, with this it means you get to sleep on the night, which means its not going to save you just £40 infact a hotel in lyon is around £48 so really it saves a lot of money.

Travelling 16 hours on a coach is perfectly normal - it happens all the time, including in the UK. Don't be such a snob, thousands of people use services like this - and "working an extra 8 hours" for many either isn't an option, or they have better things to spend it on.

So what's to do In Malaga? All I can see is bike tours. Anyone been and recommend going?
nerja, gibraltar, granada, even malaga is great. Just avoid the torremolinos-fuengirola stretch unless you're 16-21 and enjoy drinking 24/7 and fighting ;)

Really, thats your experience? Well it is not mine, The Benalmadena area including the Marina, is very nice, and clean.

Benalmadena square is a dive! Whilst i was there it kicked off every night outside Molly Malones, full of locals preying on tourists - trying to rob them. Infact saw a young girl kissing a lad whilst stealing his phone and wallet from his pocket!

Below is exactly why I wouldn't classify it as a 'safe' holiday destination for e.g. young families or those looking to relax.
I see you've chosen (or have forgotten?) to mention the charming fact that in a lot of older Brits cases, the 'hiring' of a fit Gambian to protect you and spend the day with (and providing them with dinner), can also be called prostitution - a huge problem there, as well as paedophile old white men with very young Gambian girls - but I guess that's OK, as they're a poor, third world people

Bashop
I have been to this country briefly but what I would advise:

Find someone working at the hotel preferably someone quite big and who seems very confident. Take them around with you when your out and about buy them dinner (you don't have to you can negotiate to give them a certain amount if you prefer) and drinks if you wish to then give them a small tip at the end of the day. They can deal with all people who may approach you when you are out alone at night or not in military site (they have armed police in most areas that are touristy)...........
I did this and asked the guy I was with to show me the "real Gambia" I was interested to see the side they want you to see and the side they don't. My friend just happened to be the gym instructer so was quite well built which meant I could basically roam free at night in areas you probably wouldn't go by yourself. We are still friends to this day now. If you want his details I can pass them on he is extremely polite and didnt ask anything off me ever..........
You must understand that although this is a tourist destination it is also a third world country with almost no industry. To expect people not to ask you for money when they are really struggling is asking a lot. From the people I met that go regularly to basically use the girls. They always basically give away all the clothes and stuff they bring with them and load their cases with cigarettes which cost around 20 pence a packet which they sell when they get back which covers the cost of their holiday............
The hotel complexes are usually huge and heavily guarded due to the extremely cheap price of hiring locals. You can be rest assured that you are safe even if you feel slightly intimidated on first arrival. As I say bring a local with you for the cost of pennies its worth not having to communicate with people when you just want to relax.......
You will find that you need to closely guard your wallet in nightclubs and crowded places. Realistically a money belt in your stomach or if you intend on getting drunk leave your money with your guide. They have security boxes at the hotel I think less than A4 size. All cash needs to go in here...........Always have a bottle of water to hand and buy it from the hotel or supermarket. Look at the bottom to make sure it hasn't been refilled

The coastline is just amazing.....worth every penny or hastle

http://lh6.ggpht.com/R-BWBmvhRcoLixtludcdjZexB3omnT0UWrg-iUNlsWrzSN6q6K3frOfm2AA2OP9B97PYF8En9cekNVUOaFfD=s576
Would anyone going on holiday to the gambia be able to bring 4 mobile phones with them? I have some friends there and phones are so valuable there would mean a lot....
Making small alterations can change your holiday from stressful to somewhere you go back to time and time again. Another thing change your money when you get there. Even better ask your guide to take you somewhere to change your money for the best price. Chances are he will save you loads of money from changing it here. The country governs its own exchange rate...doing that will cover the cost of the guide in itself. If you dont believe me change 50 here and 200 there and do the maths. The more you change the better rate you get....as i say all stuff you get courtesy of having a local...

They can deal with all people who may approach you when you are out alone at night or not in military site (they have armed police in most areas that are touristy)

If you want his details I can pass them on he is extremely polite and didnt ask anything off me ever.

You must understand that although this is a tourist destination it is also a third world country with almost no industry. To expect people not to ask you for money when they are really struggling is asking a lot. From the people I met that go regularly to basically use the girls. They always basically give away all the clothes and stuff they bring with them and load their cases with cigarettes which cost around 20 pence a packet which they sell when they get back which covers the cost of their holiday.

The monkey park is good, I was less impressed with the crocodile park although the journey to it will really open your eyes to the reality of the country.

The hotel complexes are usually huge and heavily guarded due to the extremely cheap price of hiring locals. You can be rest assured that you are safe even if you feel slightly intimidated on first arrival. As I say bring a local with you for the cost of pennies its worth not having to communicate with people when you just want to relax

The beaches are second to none. Bare in mind this is on the same equatorial line as the Carribean so it is in effect the same as going to Barbados for a fraction of the price.

You will find that you need to closely guard your wallet in nightclubs and crowded places. Realistically a money belt in your stomach or if you intend on getting drunk leave your money with your guide. They have security boxes at the hotel I think less than A4 size. All cash needs to go in here.

Other than that I thoroughly recommend going. You will meet Europeans who have retired out there proving its not as scary as some people make out. Remember to haggle for stuff you buy half the asking price I would say. And go self catering and go to restaurants and bars for food which are mostly run by Lebanese who took over all the businesses when the British pulled out how ever many years ago.

The kids may call you "2 bob" which is quite endearing from the times of British occupancy

Always have a bottle of water to hand and buy it from the hotel or supermarket. Look at the bottom to make sure it hasn't been refilled

Be prepared for seriously hot teperatures high 30's to 40's.....

The coastline is just amazing.....worth every penny or hastle
even cheaper - just booked for £130!! same website but prices are lower .. bargain

Considering this, what's this voucher from AmazonLocal?

Amazon were (I don't know if they still are) offering a free £2 voucher for the Amazon MP3 store if you signed up to their new AmazonLocal service.
A bargain price for what seems to be an amazing album, great find!
First volume was great, this seems up to same high standard
