Guys, on cd keys and g2a you can buy Starcraft for about £6 and it comes with both versions as standard now. Whichever version you buy, it just is standard.
Sorry mate can you explain what you mean? I only see Starcraft II 2: Wings of Liberty £9.99 and Starcraft II 2: Heart of the Swarm £6.99 therefore about £17 for the 2?
You buy heart of the swarm and get wings of liberty included anyway.
Found this on battle.net - For the regions that have a standard box business model such as North America and Europe, yes, Wings of Liberty will be required in order to play Heart of the Swarm.

Not true, they recently made it so that either version includes both versions as standard if you enter a cd key into battle.net.

There are two separate keys - so not sure if as above - why two keys? - if the main game is including in the DLC? Surely there would only be one key ???

They dropped the ball with these games, the most boring RTS ever and they ruined the story from the first game.
I don't know if you are trolling or not, however I'll bite - Starcraft & Warcraft are probably 2 of the biggest and most played games (10 million+ Warcraft subscribers, 6 Million years worth of logged game play)! Starcraft even has it's own tournaments with prize funds of $250,000! I don't know any other eSports that have that amount of following or prize funds. Let me know what RTS is less boring than Starcraft? Personally I have never played Warcraft (and I don't really want to see the film), but Starcraft, well I have been playing it from when I was an alpha tester back in the day (1996 IIRC)!
I guess it's your opinion, however I thought it best to add a little fact and to challenge you to qualify your remarks...

Why you keep it online? Close a deal and that's it. You don't know where is this option? Always I am happy to help you....
I reported it as expired, I'm not a mod though so can't expire it myself and even reporting it requires you to notice the price has changed. Also I don't really care, as anyone with sense knows that deals over a week old are likely ended, there are literally thousands of deals still unexpired from the last year, it seems somewhat pointless to point it out on any of them posted more than a week ago. If you want to though I'm sure I've got a few other deals that were never expired so you can post expired on them too.

I have pre-ordered, but half tempted to cancel as I am not that bothered about the DLC and the book (not artbook) you do get is not exclusive.
With all the negative feedback it is receiving, I cant help but think it will still be around under £30 in 6 months.
I didnt think it would get this cold though as it is the best price I could find.

A lot of peeps are (Rightfully) annoyed as most of this thing is digital, somehow they stripped even more physical content (I thought WoD's CE was bad but nope lets yoink out some more) yet seem to think £60 plus is an acceptable price and are putting their foot down. I'm getting mine for completionist value and have a preorder sitting just below the £45 mark thanks to that £10 off a £50 in August days after it went up on Amazon but honestly? It's a really REALLY lazy effort on Blizzard's part and shows how little they care for physical when they can do digital shinies far cheaper.

I can only hope the amount of peeps saying enough is enough makes them realise or they stop entertaining the idea at this point. They managed £50 for ages bar some higher like WoL and vanilla Diablo but money grabbing seems to have taken over in that regard. Shame :/

Yeah this has been the lowest price I've seen but it's what the CEs WERE before Blizzard started jacking the prices up above £50 as they removed things from it.
Still annoyed there's no proper Protoss artbook like the rest.

If you don`t know, steam/origin have started to ban keys bought from sites like g2a/allkeyshop and so forth(apparently some of the keys are hacked and sold on these game key markets), you may never know when blizzard does the same :)
All in for getting a game cheaper, don't get me wrong but this is good offer coming straight from the developers and not thru resellers.
I post rarely here and not because I am afraid of bad feedbacks, is just that I am keeping everything for myself :).
globula_neagra
Don`t know, but you could post your own deal and share it that way, maybe it gets thru. I know you can get it cheaper, buy using alternative resellers, but this is straight from the blizzard, much more reliable :).
More reliable in what way?? It's just a game, it's not like you need a warranty.

Fair enough but that's like only buying from Steam and relying on their best sales when a normal discount price is much lower elsewhere from resellers.
I don't post deals on here. I tried but too many pathetic (heat ranking)ego's ruined any interest in sharing. You see other people say the same quite often.

Yeah, although I think they've only recently had a price drop. When I last checked (about a month or so ago), the guides for Max Payne and Starcraft were £2.99.
Oh yeah. Didn't notice that. Well then. That's me told. ;)

Apologies if I came off overly corrective. I only know this because I got into an argument with a manager at another Works store who had an unmarked copy of the Starcraft II guide for sale in the (actually) designated 'Clearance Bin.' For some strange administrative reason, she wanted to charge me £12.99 for that copy (it was unsealed and missing the papercraft) as opposed to the £2.99 for a sealed copy. Thus, I was acutely aware of the item price.

Do we know if you get the pre order bonus (the heroes of the storm character) from this?
To issue a - stand alone - Fair point - I also have everything, bar WoW, which isn't a game, it's a job. All the others are requirements to have the previous ones (I remember back to Warcraft 2 this being the case!)

To point b - being near to release. It looks like it isn't. They said they would make it a bit faster from HOTS to LOTV. Clearly they won't do. It has taken them 2 years now to get the beta out for multiplayer. Based on the length of the beta for HOTS, I reckon a holiday season release date is likely. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but things only seem to move 1 way.

Given the built the engine and made the game years ago, and this is essentially a few new missions, which you would hope the story writers have been planning for a while you'd have thought it might have come a bit sooner!

I think im right in saying this is a stand alone expansion pack, so you don't need the base game to get this.
Unlikely
The original poster is correct. for LOTV it is stand alone.
You should buy the other two anyway as they are excellent, but you don't need to.
I already have basically everything they've ever made except the latest WoW expansion and Frozen Throne. :D That's why I was surprised if a) it was standalone and b) if it is anywhere near release.

Good luck with that. League of Legends pretty much killed StarCraft over there.

Just had to buy both main game & expansion, FB code didn't work, but presume its just active for that day? Still, excellent deal, don't think it'll ever be as cheap.
Up each to £6.99 now
Really great price, I bought the boxed ones at Christmas for a fair bit more than this and haven't even got round to playing them yet, wish I had held out for this, prefer digital anyway, in two minds about ebaying my boxed copies....

Ohh magazine ratings? LOL what an idiot....
There's not really any need for that is there? The metacritic score is an average of 68 professional reviews and the game comes out with 86 out of 100, with only 1 "negative" and 1 "mixed" review. That's pretty unequivocal. The average user score is 7.8 out of 10 which is favourable without being overwhelmingly positive. You are completely entitled to your opinion, but it seems you aren't the consensus. I much preferred the original Starcraft as well, one of the greatest RTS games of all time. But it is also made better by the goggles of nostalgia. I agree Wings of Liberty was probably marginally better, but I liked the extra element that came with basically using Kerrigan as a one woman army. Yes it could have been harder, but hey so could a lot of games.

GO ask anyone who owns the game what they think about it, i dont care what meta critic has to say or anything else, most of that **** gets corrupted anyway.

If it was good id say it was good, its not good, and even the player base says its not good, once you buy it ask in game what they think of it and they will say it could of been 100 times better....

No, no it wont. Stop making things up.
Actually he is right about Blizzard Battle Chests items. Look at the WoW battlechest, that used to be just the first two and it now includes more due to the release of more expansions.

What a strange comparison. WoW is a fully online RPG where this is RTS. New one won't give you the previous parts.

Now £5 on Amazon as well, although not currently in stock but can order.

Sean can you clarify?
Surely you need all 3 copies to have all units? And not just legacy of the void?

How does online work with the expansion? Can you play wings of liberty only games, and also heart of the swarm games?

I thought blizzard constantly refined the balance of the races etc with updates.

Zerg rushing is common to be honest, pain as it is. Certainly was with the original Starcraft.

I've really enjoyed the Wings of Liberty story mode, once I got into it.
Only reason this is so low is the new one is coming out soon. So only buy this if you fancy doing the story mode which tbh is pretty poop. Wings of liberty is much better and bigger. Online is basically worse!! Everything is faster than ever. I was master rank 2 and 5 twice in a row on wings of liberty but get put into poopy diamond on this and the game is full of idiots who attack your base on start! I mean allies lol wtf? This is why its so cheap its pretty bad!
£4 for the expansion? Having some of that! (Was going to get the CE version for £25 but meh. Not worth it for a mouse pad and ingame items)
but try the blizzard.net offers, think it was cheaper to download it rather then buy the disc

I am a massive Command and Conquer fan. Would I enjoy Starcraft? It's always seemed too sterile for my liking.

It seems to be one of those fanatical games so give it a try but you need the original base game as well if you want to play this one.

it's better then the last couple of c&c games by miles, and that's coming from someone who loves c&c

[quote=slimmyfan1]My PC is digital, voted cold.
You can download a digital copy from Battle.NET using your CD key plus get a great quality physical product. How is that cold for you?
By the way, all computers are digital unless you use an abacus, but that surely won't run StarCraft 2 for you:)

Fantastic game one of my all time favourites a bargain at this price :)
slimmyfan1
My PC is digital, voted cold.
All PCs are digital. Voted stupid.

And seriously, you can't play this game unless you register it with Battle.net anyway so buying a physical copy and entering the serial number into Battle.net is exactly the same as buying it directly through Battle.net or a CD key from anywhere else. The only difference is that you'll have the disc to install it from as well as being able to download it from the internet. So basically it's exactly like any other PC game these days, except most of them work through Steam and this is Blizzard's equivalent.
Bargain. Cheers!
