Rude? Really? You must live in a real fluffy bunny world if you think that is rude. You do know that you can legally ask for money back if you are not happy with the food, that must be close to a capital offence in your world. It is a carvery, it depends on the judgement of the person carving, people don't all get the same amount, maybe they give too little sometimes instead of just the right amount?

Asking for your money back because you are not happy with a service is completely different.

Asking for more than what you paid for when everyone around you get's the same deal is rude toward all the other paying customers, its as simple as that.

Now if you think you didn't get the same as everyone else like you said, then that's different again... of course it's not rude in that case!

It's all common sense. It worries me sometimes that this stuff isn't obvious to some...

Oh the look of death you get in some of these places when you ask for more oO
Basically because you need to be paying for King Size for a bigger portion. It should be that everybody otherwise gets the same portion, although you will get some variation depending on the staff member and their concentration. It's not fair for you to ask for more when other people are paying for the more.

Rude! Really? You must live a fluufy bunny life
Of course there's no harm, it's just rude that's all.

It's only unlimited vegetables - not unlimited meat.
It's perfectly reasonable to ask for more, the answer may be no, but asking harms no one.

Do you know if you can get the actual gift card offer on the Mitchells-&-Butlers gift card in store in Tesco? I tried to order but it is an actual card so won't be able to use this weekend.
I signed up to the newsletter but nothing has come through yet....
Yeah, you can pick them up in store - They supposedly have a limit of 5 per customer, but I grabbed 7 and the wife got 8 (frequent Miller & Carter eaters)
Thanks for letting me know. I hope there are some cards in store tomorrow :)

Love the toby great value for money can't even cook this at home for this price
A family of 4 this is £24 plus a drink of two, say £15 and £5 petrol to get there and back on average for most people. Total is at least £45. One can definitely cook a huge joint or two for £20. However I like the Wetherspoon Tuesday deal with a pint for £6-£7 each and within walking distance.

you get either a soup starter OR an ice cream as well as the carvery with this voucher.
Er, is'nt that the same as two for £6.25 each? Our local Crown Carvery does them for that all the time...
The best thing about the carvery was the ice cream last time, unfortunately our local has gradually got worse and worse with their quality of food.

Do you need to print a voucher for this or just turn up and it's advertised there?

You need to print the voucher - although I have been to one which says they are happy to see the voucher on my mobile.
Do you need to print a voucher for this or just turn up and it's advertised there?
Yeah, it's a decent price, but I always frequent my local Wetherspoons when I'm in town doing my shopping, fill up on their great breakfast, then I find I don't buy so much rubbish when I'm doing my grocery shopping, I imagine it almost pays for itself!

£4.25 I think for a large breakfast, but it's reliably good, freshly cooked too. 2 saus, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 3 hash, beans, tomato, and either mushrooms or blk pud.
I had the misfortune of attending the carvery for a breakfast last week and I can honestly say it was the worst breakfast of my life (I was expecting it to be one of the best as their roasts are great). The queue for food took about 10 minutes and when you got to the counter there was only scraps left so had to wait a further 7 or 8 minutes for some severely overcooked and dry sausages, 'hash browns' (more like cardboard discs) and soggy bacon. Eggs were solid, no scrambled eggs appeared and drinks were extra even though the waitress made it sound like the juices were included.

I saw two tables complain but I imagine loads had complained as we were given one of our three breakfasts for free even though we weren't one of the tables to moan (we are too British for that unfortunately or else I expect it would have all been free).

Anyway this offer is a great price but I rather chancing wetherspoons who are usually great for breakfast.

did your £2.50 include tea/coffee as I was charged extra?

for me it was 4 x fry-ups, 3 x orange-juice and 2 x coffee for a total of £18 (i.e. £8 for the 2 coffees and 3 OJs)
It's a great deal! £2.50 for toast, big fry up and tea/coffee! Was very nice when we went :D
i went on saturday morning and it wasn't v nice at all... 4 of us went and with coffees / orange juices (and vouchers) it came up to £18.

Food certainly not of same quality as the regular lunch/dinner carveries, and service was lousy (just one waitress working for approx 20 seated customers) so even with the 2-for-1 I'm not really tempted to go back.

Going again next week, this time will try for a pudding! Will report back...
Right, watchout! I tried this voucher today but because it had a picture of an ice cream thats what we got, a free ice cream. We were perfectly stuffed :) So an ice cream or a pudding would not have made much difference. But Im sure if I had looked closer at the wording and explained to the waitress we could have had our free pudding instead, but by that point we were at a point of indifference and smiling.

So we really enjoyed our 5.49 lunches with free ice creams today!
Going to try this voucher for a free pudding for lunch on Friday. Will update later!
The food is really nice at TC, compared to other carveries. Plenty of choice in veg.

To be fair even tho they are owned by the same company the Toby is miles better than Crown, Toby makes home made yorkies and has fresh prepared veg, crown is all prepacked you can tell the difference, but saying that Crown are not bad just Toby is better :)
