My friend runs Neighboorhood coffee, a local roastery based in Liverpool. They have a wide range of Ethiopian coffees ( If you want a particular flavour profile send them a message and I'm sure they'd be able to hook you up with something you liked.

This is one I wouldn't want to abuse as I have no intention of making a bulk order for my office/coffee shop/restaurant which is the service this company offers.

KTC Chick Peas, Red Kidney Beans and Chopped Tomatoes 400g 4 cans for £1 , mix n match @ asda (instore & online)
Found 12th AprFound 12th Apr
best offer at the moment, time to stock up if anyone prefers plum tomatoes, tesco have these 4 for £1

All this just for some chick please eta really get this going why don’t you buy a 2 kg pack of dried chick peas and soak them in water over night and for. £3.99 pack you can fill about 30 tins (lol) If you want them More cheaper buy a 100kg sack you can get them even cheaper if you buy a ton bulk bag of chick pease

Ok, if you're willing to get fleeced for tins instead of conforming outside the 'norm' then carry on. All I did was make a suggestion where it's possible to get tins cheaper but no you just had to turn it into a comment battle just like I saw you regularly turning the misc section into a 'Brexit vs HEAWD war' almost daily which then led to action from the moderators trying to stop such conversation comment wars. Want to know why Asian Supermarkets tend to be cheaper for 'Asian foods'? I'll enlighten you to the facts - far less overheads, lower bills (some by way of electricity and gas meter manipulation), closer ties with certain community food suppliers getting prices down, and paying employees (in some cases, *well, I can't mention the two words otherwise this comment would be taken down for political reasons (clue - the two words appear a lot especially on the Daily Mail website)*) in most cases far less than the minimum wage (cash in hand, so no obvious way of checking via documentation, and no easy way to get the owners caught and charged with the crime/s). I don't need to post 'proof' because there are many different 'Asian Supermarkets' with different names out there and if I did post a picture or 'proof' it would obviously be from a shop nowhere near where you could easily access (which if you had a brain cell to think and realise that was the case, you would not have made a fool of yourself here with such an outlandish claim). *Drops mic* Boom!

Do these cans have ring pull lids? I hate using tin opener.

Asian markets nowadays are not selling these even for 12 for £3. Best price locally for me is £4 for 12 pack. It's possible that prices may reduce nearer to ramadhan but im bot expecting a drop to anything lower that £3 for 12 tins. Some lesser known brands may dip below £3

Yes I've noticed that with some of the Heinz soups

That's exactly the words I was looking for it's a shame because Branston was always my top pick I was really glad to get back onto the Heinz I'm glad it's not only me

be careful, heinz soups taste tinny aswell. something to do with the acidic nature of the food.

Lavazza Coffee Beans 250g - instore at Waitrose Canary Wharf - £1
LocalLocalFound 4th AprFound 4th Apr
In store only, 250g for £1 is a bargain. Normal 1KG bag is £14, from Costco about £8-9 so £4 per KG is an absolute steal. Can't confirm if Nationwide though.

Full price in Cardiff thanks for the heads up though

Best coffee deal I have ever seen! - nowhere near a Waitrose. Arrrrgggghhhh

Worth checking later, I was told of this deal on Friday by friend, but only checked myself today - so looks like it isn't limited.

I also have one of these and the hard work soon outshone the novelty / good-feeling factor. I just buy ready ground now.

I'd also recommend the delonghi grinder, but not if you have an espresso machine, as it doesn't grind fine enough. I use an aeropress, moka or a drippler (Chemex) for which it's perfect for. As others have said, the Hario is just too much like hard work, although very satisfying.

I liked the De'Longhi KG79, but unfortunately it was a little temperamental.

Can you recommend a good quality electronic grinder pls?

Snap! Have since moved on to a bean to cup machine, completing the circle of life :D

I agree! I don't mean a physical pain, I mean a pain as in an annoyance or nuisance.

Some beans have more oil than others. I find drier ones are less likely to stick. (Sainsbury's own brand brand beans, both red and silver bag (traditional blend) & black and silver bag (espresso blend) version work nicely, taste good and are Fair Trade.)

Anyone manage to make a decent latte with this? Not sure if it's just me but I'm slightly nearer "microfoam" without the steam wand. Photo is my best effort by far after 50+ attempts and still nothing like. These things matter. I mean I'm making them for myself with nobody else in the house, but...

I have had this machine a couple of years now, gone through kilos of coffee which I find cheapest and best at Costco. it is the mutts nuts for superb coffee. Buy it, a life changer. (y)

Got one three years ago. Very happy with it. Easy to clean.

Coca cola is the probably one of the worst culprits. The 2 litre bottle became 1.75L, and now with the sugar tax they are changing it to a 1.5L bottle as the standard size and with a higher price. Heaven forbid the share holders get a little less money.

They're normally 99p.

If beans come out hard, it just means you didn't cook them long enough :/ A lower heat for a couple of minutes longer will make them much nicer than a short while on full whack.

I’m Heinz all the way but I do eat these from time to time. I do work there after all. I tend to find a Heinz beans fart to be warm and robust. These however tend to add an element of ‘the danger fart’. A little moist. Try the experiment. I can’t comment on a Branston fart though
