The Home office never miss a Saturday brunch. Shame of chain.

I haven’t been back since that sorry saga . Wasn’t surprised that they had to be bailed out last week, they would definitely have lost customers over it and have a smaller pool of staff to pick from.

I'd love to know where you're getting your prices from or why you're bring so biased. Yes, it costs more than McDonald's, but a Byron cheeseburger is £8, not £11 and it's a 6oz burger, so calling it small is again an exaggeration just to try to prove a point.

But if you think that's expensive for a high street restaurant, I'll put it in perspective for you. That cheeseburger has just under £2 of ingredients in it, which means there's a food cost of about 25%, fairly standard for a restaurant. A margherita pizza from the likes of pizza express, sells for around £8 as well but costs them less than 50p to make, yet people don't moan as much about it being overpriced. Then again, they're not competing with Macdonald's.
Honestly I liked the burger I had the one and only time I went and will be going. But Christ I don’t care how fresh the meat is to charge £14/15 for the burger WITHOUT fries or a drink is crazy and the place isn’t what I would call posh. They then charge a crazy amount for some potatoes deep fried and put in a tiny metal bucket. It’s a restaurant chain that makes fresh burgers and puts them in a bun that’s about it. That is why sadly they will go bust soon despite all the efforts they’re going too to save the business. I’m sure a high number of customer visit and never return after a rather expensive meal out.

Looks like a company who got too big too fast. Think Amazon UK and Sports Direct.

Hopefully all three will have their house in order moving forward.

Went harvesters 2days ago and got thar meal with 3 bits of chicken cooked 3 different ways. Disgusting 🤢. Their meat I'm sure is ready seasoned out of a bird's-eye pack. Reminds of the chicken chargrills I used to buy from birds eye 2 fillets one pound. They're store made sauces are trash too. I enjoyed my chips mostly. Trash place. Value the quality of the food u eat, because they don't.

I always struggled to clean the lid of my loop mug due to the mechanism, but I struggle at most things in life so maybe it's just me.
These are great. You can keep the drink hole popped to cool a drink quicker, but will stay hot for about 5 hours when closed.

Do people who own an Amex card feel they actually get any value from it …Do people who own an Amex card feel they actually get any value from it considering the £140 annual fee ? I'd like to hear people's opinions please

FWIW I have had a few Amex cards over the years - but pay annual fees only on my Plat Cashback card and thats a much more palatable 25 quid a year - which is more than made up during the shop small promotion alone. The other paid cards I have had I keep them for a year (as usually the membership is free on the first year) and then close them down.

Did that with the Gold Card - that had a membership cashback/bonus of roughly 125£ on a spend of 2k - this was just before Xmas so did all of Xmas shopping/gifts/London tube travel etc. on that to get over the line.

Then followed the same with the Amex Nectar Card last year when Nectar+Amex combined were giving 40k nectar points - which translates to 200 without the double up - closed it earlier this month after using it for a year.

The BA Amex card is free so that one I hold on to - and use it when there are promo offers, avios bonus etc which I load to my BA account for some free-ish flights to Europe.

Hope this helps.

There's a feature in the QKR app that lets you "share" a table - that way you can both pay your own share from your own QKR accounts (and use the credits that way)

I can confirm that the codes only work once. Tried it.
You left out the T&Cs at the bottom that says "This QR code can only be used once and is non-transferable". I have a voucher and it has a completely different code. Non-transferable - okay pass to your friend, even I've done that, but giving out to the world is reckless. They generally take the code at payment time. Anyone who uses this should be prepared to pay full price - easily £30 with a drink each and a portion of fries to share.

The waitress bought out the starter salads, side fries, milkshakes and burgers all at the same time. Of course the burgers turned cold by the time we got to them. Chef was kind enough to make fresh ones. But have to say the service is a little funny there generally. They are not very attentive. The food is nice although pricey. The salted caramel milkshake is the best I've ever had. But I won't be rushing back there soon unfortunately.

I agree with the above comment very poor doorbell had the same problems as above, phantom ringing then stopped working replaced batteries still nothing. Threw it in the bin.
Good price but i''ve had two of these and they were both poor.

The battery lasts about 6 months (depends on usage obviously)

It lost contact on ocassion so the doorbell just didn't ring.

Also had phantom ringing which must be interference from baby monitors or WiFi or something.

Lastly the door push battery failed under a year too. Although replacement seems to be going strong.

So would recommend you save £2.50
Don't ring the doorbell else you'll wake the wild goose...
