It requires removing motherboard if upgrading old cooler to fit plate to underside of it, if your case hasn't got an access. Cool beast! There is an option to fit second fan providing you have space for it.

Yes, Unless you drill some holes in the gpu and fit the radiator onto gpu hahah...

If you place the cooler on the bottom of the case and put the gpu on the last pcie slot it may cooler your gpu but you lost the speed of the gpu
Is there a way to connect this to a GPU as well as a CPU, as a 360 rad would probably be good enough for both?

Had 2 of these, such a great cooler in theory but in practice not so …Had 2 of these, such a great cooler in theory but in practice not so good!The first pump head wouldn't take one side of the fitting bracket as the hole it slots into wasn't cut correctly, also the pump head feels sturdy but the rad was very low quality, and didn't feel like it had any liquid in it at all, so I returned that one. The second never got opened as Amazon sent me someone else's used return so it went straight back!Shame really as I wanted to like it and for it to work, but alas, I'm now using the Alphacool Eisbaer 360 which feels much better built.Also if you want to use this on the AMD Threadripper motherboards then you can email Antec with proof of purchase and they will send you the fittings needed

No it's not. I had the CM 690 a few years back, went for the mastercase pro 5 (at £130), the cable management options on it are one of the best, my PC looks really clean from in there, you can move the hard-drive cages around to allow more space for your GC, (mines under the hood with the PSU). Recently got an AIO cooler, masterliquid 240 lite for £42, it's brilliant performance for the price, keeps my ryzen 1700 pretty cool when Oc'ed to 3.75Ghz per core. Only gets approx 51C now when stressed, approx 22-24 when idle (ambient 18-20) - previously was getting around 28-30 idle and 75-85 stressed.
It's also very quiet and no pump noise, and I sit right next to my main PC, so it would be very noticeable. Got it from box.co.uk last week.

Even the Cherry MX Silent had some clicky sound to it - though this may be the plastic of the keys impacting with the keyboard.Many enthusiasts seem to be adding O-Rings to their keys that stops them from bottoming out. So perhaps Cherry MX Silent with O-Rings might be as quiet as it gets. Note however O-Rings have an impact (pardon the pun) on typing feedback and so the joy you get from your mecha keyboard.There are Mem-chanical keyboards - Corsair does one that gives you the feeling of typing on a mech keyboard but isn't. There are some good reviews from people on Amazon for their K series.After my own research, I found that the Cherry MX Browns are the best for middle ground. They offer a tactile bump on the key press without the loud click of the MX Blues. Red's are the same as the brown but don't have a tactile bump (they're linear). This particular Cooler Master PBT is a great deal for PBT Caps. Note that louiselouise is right about the key fade issue. This keyboard suffers from some key fade. However for a PBT with Cherry MX Brown for this price this is a great deal. Amazon has this for £5 less.

Thanks so much for your very comprehensive and helpful reply - very much appreciated, thank you!

I'm enjoying smooth gaming on my 1600. Wasnt sure if the upgrade from a 2500k was worth it but being able to:

Have 2 smallish VMs running, one of which is mining monero on 3 to 6 cores depending if i adjust it.
browse a s**t ton of tabs in palemoon including gdax yt soundcloud blah blah
play justcause2/metroLL/Stalker smooth as butter.
i also sometimes forget to close AcidPro7 when doing the above.

Cpu fan is at 1570-2000 and as quiet as my old hyper212 that i havent bother swapping in, whilst OC to 3.9ghz, 50*c whilst the above is going on.

2500k (4.5ghz) was spikey just browsing and gaming.

Re upgrades dont get caught in the intel era where there was actually no point upgrading. And the reason for any lucky 2 gens of socket compatibility were because the chips for them were identical.

Every single Ryzen thread you pop in and always try to belittle alternative view points.I hope your Intel Shares are doing well.A buyer at this end of the market, could very well want to upgrade next year. You seem to completely ignore the Intel Socket change habit as being fine. A Ryzen buyer this year, can buy next years top end AM4 chip with no further changes. Your beloved Intel doesn't offer that option. Yes used was maybe not a great example but will certainly be a cheaper option.

You seem to ignore that AMD have a habit of changing sockets too. You are taking AMD at face value, I am suggesting you don't believe what they say in terms of CPU timelines as they have consistently not hit these times.

Also, you are discounting the concept that AMD may offer a rough backward compatible interface, such as the AM3 to AM3+ move, but very few people, after seeing the limitations, actually kept their AM3 boards.

Intel have been extremely consistent in their socket/mobo compability. Every socket has been compatible for 2 generations of processors. Consistently helps consumers.

To suggest people upgrade so frequently that you should make a decision on what *might* happen is just silly. This isn't about bias or owning Intel shares (which is farcical, I don't own any, nor do I receive any financial compensation, and I would appreciate it if you stopped the libelous accusations).

Who buys chips once per year?A used 1700 next year? Why not a used 8400 …Who buys chips once per year?A used 1700 next year? Why not a used 8400 next year? Or a used 8700k next year. That's a daft argument.Who buys a CPU for one year and wants to replace it? Most CPUs are bought with the intention of keeping them for a long time.

You know exactly what I meant. Every single Ryzen thread you pop in and always try to belittle alternative view points.

Not really. The cheapest non dumpster fire Z370 is 100 quid. The cheapest …Not really. The cheapest non dumpster fire Z370 is 100 quid. The cheapest non dumpster fire B350 is 70. We are talking small potatoes. Not to mention if you are really talking about 'considerations' if you want to get the OC out of the Ryzen, you need to upgrade the cooler. No need for a non stock cooler for Intel 8100 or 8400.

You can overclock with the supplied coolers.

That was my whole point. He was pricing per thread. My point was a core is …That was my whole point. He was pricing per thread. My point was a core is not equal to a thread.25% was an example, middle of the road. Yes rending will give you 50% and some games almost nothing, mainly due to poor optimization (especially back in March).My main point was one of pricing not performance.

The point you missed is that the best price to perf chip is the 1600 at £180 that equates
to £15 per thread therefore all chips should be calculated as such to show value if you wish to spend on the
1300x = £27.50 per thread = £110 = current price
1200 = £23.25 per thread = £93 = current price
then that's your choice but clearly the 1600 is the best option the 1700 is more money but adds more threads and equates to just over £15 per thread paying £23-£27 is stupid even more so now you pay the same for the 8100. per thread
