Cheers, a 10% drop is still pretty big.

I exaggerated, I thought I read up to 25% lower by end of this year but these articles suggesting up to 10% by the end of this year and still continue to fall into next year.

Are you sure, can you link a couple articles?

Completely agree, the only benefit to nvme drives are when you copy large files. There's a few videos on YouTube of comparisons and these drives are pretty much similar to an SSD when using them for gaming. Spend the money of buying a larger capacity SSD if that's what you want this drive for.

Not meaning to sound exactly like a troll, but going from a 500MB/s SSD to a 2000MB/s pcie drive, I'm really surprised it's only 15-25% quicker. Its the sort of shorter loading time I don't think I'd notice....5s or 13s.... compared to the HDD->SSD improvment, those times have actually put me off considering getting one. Thanks for posting those figres tho.

Which is why I said h100 or similar?

The h100 was infamous for grindy pump noises and I doubt used units would be any good now...

People voting hot clearly have no concept of how these things work. You need a decent rad size, decent water flow and above all a good fan to shift the air. As this cooler has none of those properties, it's a waste of £30. You'd be better off using the free stock cpu cooler that comes with a boxed cpu over this thing. Or check ebay and grab a second hand corsair H100 or similar for the same money.

All aio coolers have significantly easier mounting to compared air coolers. This is a big win if you have dcd like me.

Exactly the cooler i brought after my troubles, i only do light overclocks, so its perfect. Not knocking Water Cooling, but i can't be assed just for the sake of bragging rights.

Ah no worries bro. Fair enough ;) have a good day dude

My mistake, I was thinking of NCIX.

The NZXT G12 mount really is your best bet for cooling a GPU with a bog standard AIO. They’re not that expensive and the compatible with most AIOs that use the Asetek pump.

Just wondering if you can use it as a stand-alone super cool fan?

Damn it, just bought the Cryorig H7 for £35

Wow, that is a nice motherboard. TBH I kinda cheaped out on the motherboard and went with a el cheapo ASROCK AB350M board I picked up on eBay for around £30. Working fine so far (touch wood) and does everything I need it to. I don't really believe in spending a lot on the motherboard unless you want specific features that are only available in the higher end one like Crossfire/SLI...

slightly off topic fella but would you mind sharing your motherboard you use for the Ryzen 1800x build,i am building a pc for encoding but i am going with this motherboard:- and for cooling this;- i will be slightly overclocking the system too, just curious as i may switch the mtb for another, thanks in advance.

This would beat any stock cooler easily, even Ryzen ones, which are way better than Intel's puny offerings. I use two of these, one on a new Ryzen 1800X build and one on a older i7 3770 build I use in the living room as a HTPC. With this cooler it is virtually silent making it ideal for HTPC use. I don't OC either system so the fans barely have to spin up at all. Great for a system where you need it to be quiet, provided you don't mind a big case as this does need a lot of clearance, then again same could be said of most decent air coolers...

There’s no need to feel offended, I haven’t insulted you and I have nothing against you personally. I was merely correcting misinformation. If somebody says 2+2=5, you’d correct it too.

Put a plant-mister in the fridge and mist your air occasionally. It lowers the temperature noticeably and costs about £1.50.

Must be a a cool AC, even this thread gone cold.

They work great. I have one

Similar prices for them on Amazon. Reviews are fairly average. There's usually a dozen of these under various names for sale.

LGA 1150 and 1151 are exactly the same size and have the same HSF mounting holes, this will fit with no problem.

Is English your first language? If not, then no worries. If it is, have you tried reading what you actually typed out? You say it's not a 1151. Then say that the 1151 is the most recent Intel socket, but then that it's old stock (skeptical)

I am not that very technical but slime would build up on this product making it useless and dangerous. It is not that simple to clean inside if you look at the way it is made and certainly no one would spend time to do it properly. I never buy silly fridges/freezer with water dispenser or ice makers. They are a lot more expensive, they break, they get dirty, they use a lot of space too.

I think it's generally accepted that "stagnating liquids" are a danger in any container! Not sure I agree with your statement that this product is "bad for the health" though - that sounds like a very unqualified statement based on an assumption that people will just allow the liquid to "stagnate". Using your logic, you could call anything used to contain food or drink "bad for the health"...

it is very well known that stagnating liquids are a danger if in a plastic container. If in use hey need to be washed very often and properly. Google is our best friend

Urgh. Just got a used i3 6100 and a b150a mobo. Tried putting a rx480 with it but nothing. Put the gtx750ti back in and games crash on boot. Wish I had gone amd new now too. Really put me off pc gaming . 😡

Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming:

Can someone please suggest a few mid-range (especially in price) full-ATX motherboards to go with this? Here's a list of compatible ones from 6 manufacturers: Thanks very much (y)

Yeah that's 8gb but it is 3200mhz. Seemed like a decent deal as I'd struggle to buy the components cheaper myself and it comes ready to go with the latest bios. I'm not a gamer so don't really need 16gb.

Nothing to worry about PSU wise. Is that deal with 16gb of ram? If it's only 8gb then that's a poor deal. Make sure you get 3200mhz ram as Ryzen really benefits from fast ram.

What would be a good build to accommodate this which has a good balance of price and speed?

I've no experience of this particular cooler master case, however, I will say cheaper cases don't necessarily mean good. Here's my case which is 'mid range' and very well built for my silent rig. Their whole range seems excellent. Shop around for price. I combined with a water cooler for the CPU, ultra quiet fans and a fanless PSU.

£35 for this is a bargain. As others have said if you are on a budget not looking to OC this will be fine. If you aren't then you won't be spending as little as £35 on your case.

Cheap but ugly, outfashion.

Why would I Troll over a case?? It isnt as if I hate CM products, I just dont rate most of their current cases; to be fair though, there are much worse cases out there, and some of them from other "reputable" brands. That other budget case I mentioned? It got rave reviews and 5 star awards when it came out; so I snapped one up; 6 months later it was discontinued, and a few months after that all the reports of buttons failing started rolling in.

I’m sure giant has been accused of trolling before in other threads. My friend has this case and has a 1080 plus liquid cooling didn’t say it was a tight fit sure he paid 90 for the case so this is a great price

Looks like a serious GPU! Lol (:I

I have the 120 of this, pump makes avg noise. Fans are LOUD at max RPM.

Some fairly mediocre reviews...

I bought the twin fan version, it was a deal at Novetech posted on the forums for £32 or near. Have had no problems with it, had a job mounting it as it wouldn't fit my Define R2 case. It has allowed me to overclock my I7 920 2.66GHz to 3.8GHz. I could probably raise that to 4GHz as the temperature is not bad. You have to be in the right mood as are a lot of settings to get it stable. Some one's settings won't always work for your chip/board. Knowing the basics is enough or watch some youtube videos. This was posted before but I knew it was too big for my case so you are looking at a case upgrade. A bargain, nice blue leds.

From the specs : Powerful pump delivers a water pressure of 2.3 meters highMaybe use it to power a garden water feature??
