The material they use for jeans in the outlet stores are of inferior quality compared to regular stores. It was confirmed by a regional manager of Levis' stores who also happens to by my uncle. So when the man says they are fake, he probably means they are not "real Levis", but just cheap jeans with their logo put on and sold in outlet stores.

You can also take a pair of the outlet jeans to a main store and compare them, especially stitching etc

Levi's jeans are made in lots of different countries, including ultra cheap, verging on slave labour, Bangladesh.I think they're rather crap as they don't last me three years, and that's with not wearing them very often. I'm ashamed to admit though that I buy them for the "name". My daughter told me that she can't afford Levi's, until i pointed out to her that you can buy "second hand" ones on ebay for £20. I really don't believe they're second hand though, "seconds" maybe but they look as good as new.

i used to buy them in the 90`s and they were £50-£60 a pair then. They where thick and strongly sewn together.
The stuff they make now is utter rubbish, thin cheaply sewn does not even look like cotton.
sadly most clothes are poor quality now.

no wonder i was selling my used ones for £30 on ebay.

the only decentish stuff i have noticed is timberland stuff but still less quality than older clothes.

I still have no idea what DS is.....please enlighten me :-)

It's either "dear son" or "darling son". I would hazard a guess that it's origins are from mumsnet.com
In a similar vein is DH for "dear husband" or "darling husband". Comparable with OH, "other half".

I would be very happy to be corrected.

Bought a set with the exact same prescription but they don’t seem as good. I was expecting a like for like replacement pair.

Been using site for a couple of years.Never had any issues, lenses no different than Vision Express or my indie optician.Remember getting a pair of glasses from Specsavers which seemed a bit blurry turned out they'd put the lenses in wrong way y round. Might be worth contacting Specky4Eyes about problem.

Hard lined phones (not ones that rely on a mains connection e.g. cordless) will always work, the exchanges provide the miniscule amount of power necessary through backup diesel gensets. If you've got a line rental anyway, and a lot of people still have an old phone in the loft they're not a bad backup.

You could buy a used car for the same price. How is a pram ever worth 1k?

Get some proper jokers on here. For those that value quality and most importantly safety (more aimed at the money off Maxicosi car seats) then this is a deal.

On the plus side, when someone’s finished with this and sells it three years later, I bet it’ll be worth more than your £1000 banger will be!

That very same comment is levied against anyone who buys an iPhone and it’s a rubbish generalisation. If a product is good people will pay good money for it. The same is true for cars, TVs and anything really.

Although you’re certainly right on the price fixing aspect! There’s almost zero competition amongst these premium pushchairs. We went for the egg for about £800 inc cot which was about £100ish more than equivalent silvercross... or I could have spent £50 on one from alibaba
My first car cost 73.99 less than this!

No, I gave it to a friend as a birthday present. He has no taste.

Hmm, not sure if that's possible? The orange is the blue-omitting device.
Some brown sunglasses are closer to amber than brown, 'warm' enough to do a similar job, giving everything a summer evening barbeque tint. Plus you don't feel like you're submerged in Irn Bru.
