Affectionately known as Lanzagrotty
I'm in Lanzarote right now, never been before but hugely regretting it, we've had a few good moments like the bus tour at timanfaya but my god this island is a dump, crap beaches, crap restaurants, crap hotels (we're at the THB tropical island), can't wait for the summer hols for a decent location.
Hope your nuts freeze off. Not jealous mind.
Boston/Connecticut £180, USA visa gonna end up cheaper than a EU visa too lol
Lol I wish! Responsibilities . Off to Canada/US in Jan tho :) I’ll shiver there until I head duwn suuth USA lol Month away :D
Get to Lanzarote mate. Quick
AccuWeather states it will be highs of 19 degrees and lows of 14 degrees. The weather history last year highs were 22 degrees and lows were 16 degrees. Fingers crossed...
What's the temperature there at that time?
If anyone wants 10 days at Lanzarote from Edinburgh and don't mind booking with Ryanair from 21st Dec - 31st Dec £56 RTN. https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/booking/home/EDI/ACE/2017-12-21/2017-12-31/1/0/0/0
Enjoy! I have tried to expire this deal but for some reason can't!
Definitely expired now. Fortunately not before I booked. Thanks OP
Could someone tell me where to find this price as HUKD refuse to expire the deal
Yes looks like price has doubled. Deal won't expire tho?
Over £800 for me with the same details.
It does indeed.. amended. I'm from the North, anywhere south is London (cheeky)
Pretty sure the above booking page says Gatwick and not Stansted!
Add WINTER50 as a promo code for an extra £50 off.
Handy for all those who had their Stansted flights to Tenerife cancelled by Thomas Cook. I wouldn't hold you breath with these either, it wouldn't surprise me if they pulled the plug on these at short notice too
Tons of cheap deals for the south never any up north from manchester or Leeds.
i agree flights to the med have gone mad and the accommodation is just unreal , i'm really tempted with turkey , friends have been loads of times and love it resorts round dalaman are miles and miles away from the trouble and lets face it a day trip to london is a bit iffey at the moment
I spotted Man to Orlando leaving 19th July with Thomas Cook for 10 nights. Flights, average hotel on i-drive including breakfast and an intermediate car for £580 each. I thought that was quite reasonable for school hols. Was cheaper than the likes of spain greece etc when filtered by price. I know you have food and park tickets to add but it would be worth it.
£209 for a return In May to Ibiza - last May it was £45
The med is expensive cos people are put off going to Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, etc. Demand has been much higher and hotels have been getting booked up very quick. I booked my holiday to menorca in July last year, the hotel was booked up by Xmas for the summer hols . On top of that you have the weakness of the pound over the last 18 months pushing prices up . You're left with luxury accommodation that nobody can afford or very basic that most don't want and is overpriced for what it is. I think the algarve is worst for crazy cheap flights and ridiculously priced accommodation. Better off going to canaries for overall value for money imo. Could be worse though, butlins are asking 1800 for a week self catering in the school holidays.
Turkey seems to be very cheap at the moment, only place you could go with a chance of spending under a grand for a family. Obvious it's cheap because people are worried about terrorism etc but the resorts aren't too bad. Also if you are going to North Majorca I would recommend BQ Alcudia Sun Village
And remember loads of sun cream. We're out there now and it's so hot 8) 8) 8)
Just remember to add on transfers or taxi costs, easy to compare prices and shouldn't be too much, I'd say under £20 return for the whole family so still under £300pp.
I've stayed at this hotel 2 years ago. Fab for the money
I would advise you to see your doctor asap
I would rather go on holiday to Birmingham!
Thanks Op - Selling fast!!! by the time I get to the payment page ;(
I've no idea why the link keeps going to Thomson. It's Thomas Cook! I've edited it and it keeps going back...
Would u be able to get the price for 2 adults and 1 kid (aged 7) please x
lol sorry I didn't pickup on that yes same here last thing I would be doing is anything for work while on holiday .
sorry I was being sarcastic at the person who said they were working from home but were on hols in Lanzarote! If I was on holiday the last thing I would do is log on to WiFi for work ...
Do what we do buy a 3g mifi about £10 to £15 then buy a 3 network 12 month 12 gb data sim around £20 with that setup you have your own wifi at any of the 42 counties shown on the 3 feel at home Web site and you get 12 months usage from it . I've already used mine twice in Spain and will use again in 4 weeks when in Spain again works out cheaper than using and paying for the hotels wifi
San Marcial,good luck staying there
"The apartment was advertised as wifi here and as I work from home I need it on my holidays, I was very disappointed with the wifi which was sporadic and only worked partially on our last 2 days. The place was clean and had a nice cafe and shop attached. The double adult bed was so squeaky we ended up putting the mattress on the floor and sleeping on that, every time you turned in bed it was like murdering a million mice! All in all ok but we would not return." working from home - you are in Lanzarote :)
**** deleted my comment by accident. Seen some half decent deals for about £1100 2 adults 1 child A/I in med so not to bad a deal. I'll keep checking sites to see if anything pops up cheers for heads up
May be closer to but as it stands prices are sky high as a lot of people will want this week to make the most of the bank holidays.
Doesn't have a pool though
Is an autopromotion? Just found plenty offers £300-400 per week eg http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/la-casa-marron-teguise.en-gb.html?aid=304142;label=gen173nr-1FCAEoggJCAlhYSDNiBW5vcmVmaFCIAQGYAS64AQzIARTYAQHoAQH4AQuoAgM;sid=ed3886ebc9753f07d3bbd57afb6d52d3;checkin=2017-06-30;checkout=2017-07-07;ucfs=1;group_adults=2;group_children=2;age=12;age=10;req_adults=2;req_children=2;req_age=12;req_age=10;room1=A,A,12,10;highlighted_blocks=138323601_93462758_5_0_0;all_sr_blocks=138323601_93462758_5_0_0;hpos=4;dest_type=region;dest_id=760;srfid=3eb65ac7564694fdd59ea1739145a310aa3f4b71X19;highlight_room=

i need summer flights
What a great price if you can find it.... price at the moment for me is £31.
What. A. Deal. I'm not home until the 2nd otherwise I would have booked that in a heart beat!!
Yes but don't pay any money unless it's to AirBNB many scams.
the south of tenerife is generally warmer than the north
depends on where you stay and also a bit of luck with the weather.... but Lanzarote does tend to be windy. I've been there was glorious sun through Feb and also had Feb's where its not as good..... but in general it's fine. compared to what it's like here at the moment it's gonna feel great lol
I read some tripadvisor posts & comments and it's mixed between both. Just depends I guess.
was in Lanzarote last feb it was cold and windy 10 out of the 11 days, wouldn't go again this time of year
People with mental health problems can't just snap out of it. Slow handclap for perpetuating stigma.
Hey bevalor the first time I ever flew I hated it but believe me you are safer on a plane than on the ground a couple of things to remember before flying cut out caffeine and alcohol those drugs increase your anxiety big time. Hope you take the plunge and hop on a plane, good luck ;)
I would definitely recommend checking out a fearless flyer programme to see if it would be something you'd be interested in, I have suggested to a few people before that dismissed it straightaway as they feel they're too bad to get over it but I don't believe that at all There are still other modes of transportation to get on holidays but flying is almost always the most efficient especially for far flung destinations
Yea prices have shot up in last year or 2.... need to get in very early to find cheaper accommodation.
oh it definitely restricts me....I am 47 and like I said I have only ever flown twice...once to reus and once to Las palmas....my other half was 50 last yr and has always wanted to go to New York and go up the empire state building...so I surprised him with a 5 days trip there but had to get his daughter to go with him :|

Not such a great deal for self-catering. Others around similar price.
I know how you feel. We've had to pay these prices for the last two years.
This is the first year I'll be restricted to school holidays for my summer holiday. The prices make me weep...
Thank you jayok
