Another cheap option here;

bicycles4u.com/col…rer

It's smaller wheels but has a more powerful motor, higher voltage battery although unsure of actual Ah capacity. It's lighter and has a protected battery stored in the frame for security. Pretty much the same drivetrain quality. Worth considering too.

Viking bikes are part of Avocet bikes, I don't have a problem with them but assembly can sometimes be a bit rough and may need a bit of a service to get everything right before riding. An internet purchase like this really requires someone who is mechanically minded to give it a good check. One good thing about this Viking folding bike is in a few years when the battery has worn out (2-5 years) or the motor has died (?) you can replace the front wheel with a cheap standard 20" front wheel and remove all electric parts and you are back to having a standard bike which can be used for many years.

Yes - perhaps I should have been more explicit. What I mean is that in …Yes - perhaps I should have been more explicit. What I mean is that in some areas of the country 15.5mph really isn't that far from the official speed *limit* of the roads you'd be on anyway.

That is very true.
I took a 7.5 mile journey by car the other morning, leaving at 7am to North Manchester General Hospital, and that journey took 1 hour 5 mins
Although I cant comment of this particular bike, an ebike is excellent for normal commuters. Im not talking about the inconsiderate lycraclad butt'r smeared (they put cream on their anus's!!) sweaty road clogging fools. But for normal people, its a real benefit.
DigitalReaper15 m ago

You know 15.5 is less than 20 right?

No, the point is you don't have 200W driving it, because the motor …No, the point is you don't have 200W driving it, because the motor switches off at 15.5mph. Electric bikes will slow down your commute in almost all situations, unless you have steep hills both ways.

We're talking about two different situations. Do you have 200W assistance when going from 0mph at the lights, yes. Do you have 200W assistance when going at 16mph down the road, no. Will you reach 16mph on the road? Who can say, in my city absolutely not.

So let's stop saying "your commute" like it's universal, let's try "your commute down 20 miles of country lanes" and "your commute across 2 miles of horrific traffic in central Manchester at 8:30am, going 20m between red lights at a time". This bike is rubbish for the former, great for the latter. Probably why it has "City" in the name.

Having seen many cheapy cheapy chair deals posted on here, I thought I'd have a go and see whether this will be any better as this will give you that "exec" look.....
Thank you - Father’s Christmas present sorted!
I had one of these once. Generally okay. The leather seat isn't terribly padded - I used it during the summer for some contract work I was doing at home. I had to use a cushion for extra bum padding, and the leather really does make you a bit sweaty betwixt the gams, in hot weather - so I'd recommend this for occasional use and not for 8 hour stretches.

Also - the covering on the arms was faux leather, so don't be like me and idly pick at it when you're thinking or it looks scrappy in no time.

Also, the mechanism creaks quite markedly when you rock back and forth.

Totally fine for occasional use, as I said.
We once ordered 2 similar chairs from Viking and they came ready assembled in a massive box!
thx. just bought for husband
been looking for a chair for a long while. Seen the link for the comments, seems to be decent.

I’m the on phone now for the last 20 plus minutes trying to sort it.
Me thinks the OP is a w***ker
Still on my account - was just going to order loads of rolls then I thought to myself 19mm?
Oh no!
That's the tiddly little rolls with small core - do I order it or not? Then 19p is not much, but...
Decent tape is 25mm wide with wide core to fit my dispenser. Tiddly rolls go in tiddly dispensers and waste of time. I can get 5 large rolls in Poundland for ...a £1 - I make that 20p a roll. NO CONTEST, even if this is Scotch.

Anyway there is a better bargain on Viking, just found, IF you need mailing bubble bags.
Usual price is 15.49 box 50 (still online at that) but different order no gets them for just 6.99 a box!

No, it won't deter me at all, seems too many members are too quick to pull the trigger, I searched high and low for a deal for the xtra model that includes the Airobrush and hard floor tools and this was the cheapest I could find by some margin.

Having said that I do see the deal posted the other day for the 620W model for £95 also on Viking Direct, if buying the tools separately it comes in a little more than this deal however it may well be worth the small extra cost for the extra 40W.

Pub
Thanks for posting but it might be worth your while doing a price comparison with other websites on this product

This is most expensive I have ever seen this product,These normally retail for £85 to £95 and with some codes may be even cheaper.

Welcome to the community and I hope my comments don't deter you from posting further deals.

I bought the postcard photo paper instead of the normal photo paper, and send as postcard during travelling. it is much cheaper than buying inflated postcard from tourist attraction.

Likewise I have one. Excellent for 6 x 4 prints on the fly. No worries about printheads drying out. Wireless prints directly from phone is really handy.
I paid close to £100 for mine so this is a reasonable deal. Heat added.
These are the absolute BEST option for printing photos at home.
You get 100% same photo that you get from professional photo print services in stores.
The cost of supplies is very reasonable as well.
Highly recommended.

got this printer for a while.

it is really good for travelling. Compact, Quick to print from phone via wifi.

I bought the postcard photo paper instead of the normal photo paper, and send as postcard during travelling. it is much cheaper than buying inflated postcard from tourist attraction.
Switching printer on/off can sometimes cause it to go out of sync with the ribbon and you loose 1 prints worth of ribbon. So you get to end of ribbon 36 prints worth but still have a couple of sheets of paper left and you realise it's not lasted for total 36 prints. This means the cost per print is actually more. One advantage these little printers have is they do not suffer with print heads clogging with ink. They have been around for many many years and changed very little in that time.
Guess you need to get cash back sorted out before midnight tonight

Viking make BSOs and this is likely no different.

The gearing is utterly awful for a starter though. It has a double crankset, rather than a compact double. Combined with only a 7 speed cassette which is a freewheel rather than a more modern (last 20 years!) freehub, this will make the gearing rather too high for the sort of person this bike MIGHT be aimed at (ie. a beginner).

wow, amazing how they got it so cheap! I'm sire it won't be perfect but its £99. you can't complain
Great bike for a starter. Shame about the "qaulity" spelling in the Amazon description.
