Same here. Refund issued and told to keep the metal swing.
I didn't hear back from Tesco so I rang them, they offered to refund me and keep the metal swing, but as I'd already rejected the metal swing upon delivery I'd be no better off in this case. I really just want the wooden swing for my daughter that I originally ordered.

They then offered a refund, plus an additional £35 to reorder the metal swing. I rejected this offer as the metal swing looks so inferior, I'm now waiting to hear back from their 'escalations' team. The woman I spoke to was very forceful and pretended that the line was breaking up whenever I said something that wasn't the same as her viewpoint.

Reading Tesco's T&C's they are contractually obliged to comply with the contract to provide a wooden swing. A wooden swing IS a product they sell under product code 215-9852. Any other item, such as the inferior metal swing, is simply not as the contract describes.
Update: we've been given a full refund but told we can keep the metal swing. Happy with that!
Just been asked to return it and there giving me a £5 voucher compensation
Metal too!

Would this be too boring for a 7 years old? I have a one year old and mainly she would use it as with a baby swing attached.
Where's the climbing frame then?
Would this need a ground anchor?
I think i would prefer a 3rd swing instead of a tiny slide, but a great price.

You can unlock the front wheel so that it disconnects from the handle bar and you simply push it like a pushchair with full control over the steering - pushing slightly harder on the left side turns to the right and vice versa. If the front wheel is locked, you can still turn it the same as in the unlocked mode (but the handle bar will also turn). I tend to leave it locked so that my son can steer where he wants to go. We tested the Smart Trikes out in the shop, but i found the Galileo's steering to be easier, the handle and the rest of the trike also felt a lot more solid.

Thanks for the info
jdRiggs29th Jan

If the parent handle is fixed how do you steer it when pushing it along?

We got this for our son's 2nd birthday back in October.
The steering works very well when pushing.

Consider if your child will take to this before splurging. Grandparents bought for our little one and was waste of money (and added to clutter)

She preferred the push chair when she wasn't as mobile or lazy. And once she was mobile enough to enjoy the "cycle" she much preferred the lighter more manoeuvrable scooter. IMO the problem with these is there's nowhere to comfortably put your feet when the kids are really just playing at riding (and you're doing all the work). And when they cross that line to being able to do the work for themselves, these are too big and cumbersome for them. So they prefer the scooter (or just a basic barebones trike) and then they're never coming back to this when they get to the size/strength that they can really utilise it properly.
Edited by: "Mentos" 30th Jan
Can anyone advise on steering difficulties with fixed parent handle. I think I remember reading a negative review about this in the past but I'm having difficulty finding any reviews about this trike.

Agree with this. Uber Kids had a great offer on Joie Every stage so I picked up two. I think it was 128 quid each. Not sure I'd go too cheap with something important like this.
