Are you saying the other persons suggestion about using outdoor twin and earth cable with a 3 pin plug and (I'm assuming) plugging into an RCD protected garden socket would not be legal and safe? I would never advise someone on how to connect any electrical fitting.
If an individual has any doubts on their ability and/or knowledge, then I advise they seek assistance from a pro.

I have the Dunlopillo Super Comfort Standard Pillow which is expensive but it's the best pillow I have ever had and I'm confident it will last me years. I've been using it for about 9 months and it still seems like brand new. I tried memory foam but they make me overheat and I find feather ones just loose all support no matter how much you spend on them.

Nope still confusing. The OP said that the total bill after 3 for 2 would be £1 or £2, so that is incorrect and therefore confusing. Total price will never be £1, as 3 products at £1 each is £3, then 3 for 2 brings it down to £2.
Since commenting the OP has tweaked the detail slightly and changed it to £1/£2. But you still can’t get £1 total for 3 items.
