Any idea when it ends? Also, it DOES NOT work on beds. ;( ;( ;(
All Bench Discounts, Offers and Sale - September 2018
If you don't REALLY need such an amount of plastic, don't buy it.
Plenty of room for the hassock underneath!
I think my grandmas house used to have one if these back in the 80s
Shame my kitchen isn’t big enough ;( Heat Added
You've clearly never priced old church pews
Loads of church's closing down so I'm sure you can get old pews for cheaper.
After a long think I went for the round version with 4 chairs. Thanks op!
What's the 10% code
Hope you don't mind @colgate - have updated the op / title with a code that stacks to make it even cheaper :) heat added
I went for the version with 4 Chairs instead of two an a bench. Same price. Decent enough built quality. Certainly pleased for the price!
Needs the pug wall clock to go with it.
Would make good firewood. Remember if you live on your own, there's no need to buy something like this, even if you have a friend.
So retro, which makes it cool yea?....yea? (skeptical)
straight out of 1979
Looks like a church pew...
I know it can be done, but you're a braver man than I!
I have my 43" TV, soundbar, Switch, and a couple of other things on this stand but the stand is still standing strong.
My friend bought this... as a slipper rack for his hallway. Good price but don't put something as heavy as a TV on it.
Cant beat my solid oak! Heat added, a shoe wreak sounds good thou
I lack spatial analysis skills. I don't lack intelligence.
Haha that’s what I like to hear! Prepared early: that’s his xmas 2021 sorted
None in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Birmingham. Nearest is Kidderminster - too far to make it worthwhile. Duaghter and son in law took me to Cardiff to collect something for themselves, when we arrived at store smiths next door. Popped in and they had 15 available! Picked one up for my grandson who is 3 months old (y) (lol) . 3+ on box but couldn’t resist it.
Excellent! There seems to be plenty stock about.
Got my little boy one today he loves it. Got my nephew one for Xmas too lol
Haha glad you found one in the end!
This still shows up at the same price. not sure why it is expired.
Buy cheap buy twice
I completely agree, I bought one of these less than 2 years ago and was affectively worthless by the start of the summer, completely flaked off, rusted bolts that won't come out and split slats. It definitely can't cope being outdoors.
got a couple of these from wilko 2 years ago, cost £35 each. A cap in one of the metal parts was missing which meant that water would go in. had to use some filler. the metal bits had paint falling off and rusted areas. Recommend spray painting any rough looking areas with a matt black to protect bad bits. I keep mine inside or in a shed and they've kept in decent condition (no more visible paint flaking or rust). don't think they'd last long if left outside due to poor finish in the metal parts. I'd probably buy them again, but this time i'd paint them BEFORE assembling them...
Argos regularly have their Guild bench grinder on sale, and it's usual price is £19.99. That's 150w but it doesn't have the flexible drive shaft.
I've got one of these. They have a very high max rpm that somewhat makes up for the lack of power for grinding. Probably not the best grinder for polishing but I like the portability and Dremel style bits with it.
Great price, very versatile, thanks
There are also quite positive reviews on Lidl's site (Google Translate): https://www.lidl.de/de/parkside-doppelschleifer-pdfw-120-a1/p251695 But it's up to you if you need more power for twice as much money.
Nice find (highfive)
No - a form doesn't have a back.
Isn't that a "form", not a bench?
I have a good one that old and still strong don't think it's from b&q looks similar tho.
Much nicer in the shop, photo doesnt do it justice. Looks sturdy too
Showing as Out of Stock now
Metal that corrodes. None of mine lasted more than a few years. Wooden ones fare far better. Ive got 2 that must be at least 12 years old.
Plastic burns just as bad lol
I need a garden first
I think I'll sit on it and wait for the sales!
Bargain! We reserved ours for collection and homebase rang to let us know it was a display model - extra 10% off, when my partner arrived they had trouble getting one of the bolts out so he haggled and got it for £17... it’s sturdy and plenty strong enough for us ! Absolutely love it.
Not sure will hold two heavy adults, I'm 75kg and when I tried it today in Homebase was a little wobbly...didn't really trust it sit on it too long (would be embarrassing to break it in store ...) You definitely only get what you pay for. Likewise with the garden table that I picked up today felt flimsy and light enough for strong wind to catch it...but for £50 including the bench it wasn't too bad. I'm going to buy some treated wood to try reinforce it then treat with oil and hopefully will last. Anyone going for this don't over expect and consider some modification/treatment to it
its £30 will hold 2 overweight people no probs, will last for years if looked after ie cover or put in shed/garage during winter,a bit of linseed oil on it before you put it away for winter and again in spring if it's needed after bringing it out. Garden furniture is "NOT" just meant to be left outside all year long with no protection.
Cheap, looks cheap, looks like it'll behave cheap. Looks like a wobbly mo fo
Bought! Most stores are out of stock now
Picked one up this eve. Looks good for £50. As others have said it's not that heavy duty but looks great for the price. Reckon it should last a few years if looked after. Going in the shed til next year. Looks to be about 8 left at craigleith in edinburgh
Excellent idea like the sound that and my hubby is really good at DIY - sounds like a project! Thanks!
Cheap for a reason 1yr guarantee but at £50 it would suit some for light use for a year or 2.
50cm high? Not gonna do my back any favours.
I thought I really like this but I read the website's Q&A you can't really sit on it so I'll have to pass :s
Wow how rude. Get a better job is your comment because I wouldn't pay nearly £50 for a shoe rack. Some of us aren't made of money
50cm height? Surely the dimensions are wrong.
Get a better job. Seriously though, it is more attractive than average show rack and also multi purpose.
They broke off in between photographs. The last photo was a pile of wood on the floor but they didn't use that one.
Why does one photo have a support between the legs and in the next it doesn’t?
Or if you have a box of matches knock one up yourself.
Doesn't look like it would last very long unless it was just children using it.
Not for heavyweights!
Thx was on the look out for a new camping table cheers
Works fine for me, Thank OP have ordered :D
Got one of these in May. Starting to rust bigtime. I've oiled it and applied rustkiller and have also primed it, but the rust keeps coming through. Be warned. Voting cold, as have spent around 30£ on anti rusk stuff as well as wasted 8 hrs of my time....
Had one for nearly 2 years now and is still as firm as the day we bought it and no rust in sight. Would highly recommend
Bit cramped there for space. As long as hes happy
My dad has this and the table set it’s really good quality and looks fab!!!! Bargain
Give it twelve months and the bench will be the same as the op Rusty!
Thats great. Cheers! (y)
Thats great (y)
Great deal.works for us. We liked it so much we bought the taller unit version. While that’s not on offer it bumped the price passed 150 and we got 20 percent off with the furniture code
I think its meant to be that height as its a bench. Suitable for a hallway to sit on when you are putting your shoes on etc.
