The problem here is that SFC food is so unutterably monstrous. I try (emphasis on 'try') to eat reasonably healthily and restrict fried chicken to an occasional treat, but even so I find the prices at KFC to be barmy. So I've tried pretty much every permutation of 'fake KFC' there is, and I think it's safe to say that SFC is among the worst of them. Coating that drops off as you open the bag, or worse falls off in the fryer and writes off the oil, chicken that is GREY underneath the coating, rib portions that have dubious looking bits attached to them.... I don't want SFC to be cheaper. I want it to be better quality.
Agreed, it's absolutely rank. There is a reason it's found for £1 in Iceland/Farmfoods etc. It's utter garbage

the product in this deal is currently £3 in farmfoods. always is. but thanks for your input.

Some bad comments on here quite rightly so but somebody must be liking it at 562% heat just goes to show the average members palate.
This is a deal site frequented by many people who may be on a tight budget so this surprises you?? In general people who eat free range, butchers cut meat 7 days a week don't need to browse here... So this deal is bad but it's ok to post deals for hungryhouse? :D . This deal isn't for you. No need to insult the 'average members'. vote cold and jog on.
Read the comments it's crap but if you want to keep on eating this **** you will soon need to be the one thats jogging on you melt.

thats fine. I like jogging. I actually ran 5km last night. And guess what? i still eat eat the occasional 'crap'. its called balance. something most of the people commenting can't seem to grasp.

A lot of the larger Co-Op outlets have a crazy spread of items in their range. From boring cheese sandwiches to veggie curry salads. I like their sides too, especially when they have scotch eggs.

Best for choice is the Co-Op. where else can you get a curry as part of their meal deal for total of £3? The meal deal of Kings

tell us more?!
Tesco meal deal IMO opinion are the best available, followed by Morrisons.
Asda and Sainsbury's meal deals are a joke!

also to note - the Fridge Raiders chicken bite things are a snack which seems good when you consider what they sell for individually

I have the voucher for a free glass of wine with my meal on Friday does the 4 of us receive it or just the person who has signed up ? Patrice.
Depends on the waitress. It's only meant for the person who's signed up but our waitress applied it to all 5of us. You could always get the others to sign up to or do as suggested in the first comment on this thread. Enjoy your meal.

I work at Miller & Carter. The voucher codes are always identical - so if you show the same voucher on your phone (screenshot it and send it to each other) all members of your party will receive a glass!
Very good meal. Didn't even need to share the voucher, one was scanned and the whole party were offered a free glass of wine each without us even asking, saved £22 off the bill and the service was excellent. That's the way to get repeat custom.

Can also get 15% cashback if paying by debit card - offer on Santander and Lloyds/Halifax/Bank of Scotland 'Everyday offers' through internet banking.
Just checked eagerly expecting an even better bargain night out and I don't have that Santander offer, the only offer available for me is on holidays in Cantabria.

That's a shame. It some depends on your debit/credit card usage. We use our Santander debit card as our regular spending card so more offers.
Nice to see some good reviews.

if this were later on in the year and from any Airport in the South East I'd be all over this :(
Such a long flight for just 3 nights stay.

As I said, it's an overhyped tiny strip in a desert. Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Croatia all much better options.... my opinion of course X)

The only similarity between Vegas & Dubai is sand. Round of applause for your holiday comparison skills.

I'll pretty sure that one of the main reasons people go to Vegas is exactly why they dont go to Dubai!
Fly half way across the world to gamble? X)
Too drink , gamble , watch the boxing live , watch a few superstars , enjoy the pool weather in a cabana. And far more . Oh and then we enjoy a Caribbean beach holiday to relax after partying in Vegas BABY .
That sounds so cringeworthy X)
So enjoying pool weather in a cabana, seeing some world class shows, catching some of the worlds best known entertainers, seeing a wonder of the world (Grand Canyon) and some amazing malls is cringeworthy?
What do you do on holiday? Bingo and take your knitting with you to finish?
Pool weather with no beach X)X)
If you want amazing Malls Dubai's are far superior (I hate malls though).
As for entertainers and blah blah blah X)X):D

Mandalay Bay does have an artificial beach. ;)
3 days is not enough in Vegas... jet lag will have you like a zombie for the entire trip :(

Anyone actually done one of these sub £400 holidays? I've been twice, both times flights with Virgin cost more than these holidays. Can't help but feel like I've been ripped off massively. These sub £400 holidays, even after adding tickets and food, seem significantly more affordable.
Are they worth doing? After adding tickets, food, and spends, what else is left to pay for?
Thank you.

I did one of these cheap packages last year, paid about £1600 for four adults for flights/hotel. I also paid £700 for a villa for two weeks and never even checked in to the hotel. Just liked having the option for a hotel incase my villa hire went wrong, plus the bonus of ATOS for a package holiday.
Its not a cheap holiday, Car hire and insurance - £300 for two weeks, Universal and Disney ticket combo £580 per person (depends on where you buy). Theme park, parking $20 a day. Poor exchange rate has put me off booking for a while, Theme park tickets have gone up by about £150 per person compared with last year.

Hi guys i really need someone's help! I've booked with Thomas Cook around 10 days ago to go to Florida was around £600 each including car hire with basic insurance. I've just spoken to them after reading a comment on here and they've informed me i have to pay $630 extra for the car when i arrive?! Our hotel is a while away from where we wanted to be but this news has completely ruined everything. We can't afford to pay an extra $630 on arrival and so does anyone know if there is a way to get around this? I feel like we've had our dream holiday completely ruined :(

I will buy the holiday off you if you don't want it anymore if that helps? :)

This happened to us so we went to the travel agent in the airport and they said we could pay to go on the shuttle to our hotel which we did. Our hotel offered transport to the parks and we used the I Trolley to get around which isn't expensive.

This is a good deal and has been going for years. When I was a student getting a free mcflurry or burger with a cheap meal was an absolute winner. I miss the days of student discount. Heat added for spreading the word.

Join a cheap £10 online technical course... don't even need to do it!... then get your student card :D. E.G. shaw academy is on the list of approved NUS places.

It costs £12 for the card which is good if you will use the deals. I don't eat at Macdonalds much anymore but do miss the days of discount but often find other discounts as I'm quite thrifty like that - hence the name . I've debated getting an NUS card this way for a while. With the likes on Unidays, NUS isn't as good as it used to be.
it works with any student id with a picture and expiry date.

Let's get it right, you all need to get a bird to slave away in the kitchen to cook you a proper curry. And if it's no good, slap her about a bit until she learns how to cook properly

Vegetables Korma has been discontinued. Shame as it was my favourite.
Not really much for vegetarians in the mains really. Even worse the veggie selection pack of samosa, pakora and bhaji are not in this promotion but the meat ones are...
Poor show by Waitrose.
I got this deal last night — the veggie selection pack isn't stickered as a side, but the hand-held Quick Check scanner was counting it as part of the deal. Always worth using one of those as you can find things like this without that awkward moment at checkout if it doesn't go through :D

Cheers all. I'll give it a go. Never seen the veggie selection labelled as side. Will see what the scanners says in my local.

I've seen a lot of people on here over the years saying how some £3 supermarket pizza or curry is better than a takeaway, but I've yet to actually try one that has been.

Make you right 100% and whether it's scratchy people trying to justify their scratchyness or whether their taste buds and quality radar ain't up to much so they genuinely believe that I don't know but I've never found a cheap ready made alternative that even comes close to takeaways.

Haruhi
(and no matter how much it says it's a meal for 2 this is just a meal for one realistically and about the same amount of rice an Indian would give for one person)

Ditto again, I easily polish this 'meal for 2' off on my Jack's with bits on the side too.

Haruhi
So you're paying £10 for a meal for one person to try and get the same quality as a takeaway, yet just buying this from a takeaway in the first place would cost about £10 as well. You're gaining nothing at all going down this route.

Ok once more it's hard to disagree with you or would have been till about a month ago when I was still residing on the East London/West Essex frontier in Roding Valley but I now live way out in the sticks of rural Lincolnshire.

We have bought a gaff that quite literally sits by fields and all there is more fields as far as the eye can see. The nearest curry place of any note is around 10 miles away in Waddington and I did drive up there a couple of Fridays ago to try it out. Alas it was very average and rather greasy too and just to add insult to injury if you want it delivered he charges a quid a mile extra from 2 or 3 miles onwards I believe so not a chance in hell!

http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z450/Chasloyal/IMG_20170413_140129_zpsm1mrmm4p.jpg

I realise I been spoilt by living in and around East London all my life, none more so than having had The Coriander at Buckhurst Hill Station as my regular for the last 15 years or so, when I wasnt over in Austria that is.

See now that I don't have the luxury of an abundance of decent or excellent curry houses on my doorstep I would argue Charlie Bigham offers me better value than I could ever have imagined, even just a few short weeks ago ;)

Voted hot, as M&S curry is as good as a takeaway.
What? You need to change takeaways. These are so inauthentic. My partner describes them as curry for people who don't like curry!!
http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z450/Chasloyal/269853011_1_640x640_zpsdtbkexv4.jpg
Your 'partner' should try one of these then, I urge anyone to.
Granted it's not the cheapest ready made meal you're ever going to buy and far more expensive than these M&S offerings but you get what you pay for and this Jalfrezi really is the governor :p

I've seen a lot of people on here over the years saying how some £3 supermarket pizza or curry is better than a takeaway, but I've yet to actually try one that has been.

These £7 Charlie Bigham meals might be really close or almost equal to a typical Indian takeaway, but once you factor in something like an equally good quality garlic naan bread, you're looking at about £10 total for this meal (and no matter how much it says it's a meal for 2 this is just a meal for one realistically and about the same amount of rice an Indian would give for one person)

So you're paying £10 for a meal for one person to try and get the same quality as a takeaway, yet just buying this from a takeaway in the first place would cost about £10 as well. You're gaining nothing at all going down this route.

Good value I suppose, but there have been better co op meal deals as this one wouldn't fill a schoolboy never mind an adult, and they are the cheaper 'fish' fillets rather than cod.
Very tasty ice cream so that's a positive.
I won't buy the fillets they have Basa fish in them and taste funny :|
They contain Pollock:
ngredients
Alaska Pollock Fillet (54%) (Fish), Wheat Flour [Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin (B3), Thiamin (B1)], Sunflower Oil, Water, Rapeseed Oil, Palm Oil, Wheat Starch, Salt, Maize Flour, Raising Agents: Diphosphates, Sodium Bicarbonate; Mustard Flour, Flavourings (contains Mustard), Dextrose, Wheat Gluten, Dried Skimmed Milk, Colours: Curcumin, Capsanthin; Spices.
I used to buy them on a regular basis years ago then suddenly I thought they didn't taste the same so I emailed them and was told they had started using Basa fish in them,I stopped buying them from that point.

good deal, but would you actually buy them all together if you had the choice?

I wouldn't but I'm sure many would,I rarely eat Ice Cream and if I do it has to be chocolate flavour and we only buy Albert Bartlett chips these days X)
More Peas, I've a feckin freezer full, from previous £5 deals. Try being more adventurous Co Op.
Like earlier comments,I'll give this deal a body swerve. I like to know the species of the 'Fish'

Our local chinese is across the river channel, so my partner and I had to board a ferry to get crispy duck and sweet and sour chicken balls, £300 in total so this is a bargain.

I want to go and eat there tonight X)

Great deal, some yummy looking things there :) . Heads up though- I got the Dine In For Two when it was last on (10th March) and I got the Lemon and Ricotta Cheesecake Slice and it was disgusting, like the most rotten thing I've ever tasted oO . I had to just bin it, definitely wouldn't recommend it if you like New York style tasty sweet cheesecakes as this tastes nothing like normal cheesecake but if you like ricotta cheese and non-sweet desserts then you just might like this but otherwise AVOID lol <3 .
Thanks for that think i will stick to apple tarte tatan

Monday 17th April and just 36hrs left to buy/auto-claim this offer. Grabbed a final set today as frankly the battered onion rings proved to be too delicious to resist!
Update: Tuesday 11th April and offer IS still running [no more need for beer battered onion rings so no more purchases lol]. So still no reason to believe it won't continue to be available for purchase in-store (or delivery by) Tue 18/4 as originally promoted.
Just personally to confirm in-store shoppers - this offer REMAINS AVAILABLE at today's date Tue 4/4 ie the till computer says yes "Beer Pizza Rings £5 [ie] -3.88" and from the original listing should remain available until Tue 18/4!

Though it'll annoy the customer services desk if a supervisor isn't close if you ask for a price-check as price-check only works on a single item not a combo set of three items, so they have to put it through as if selling to see what the bill total/discounts it to; and then it requires a supervisor to void the sale. This is because basket includes alcohol; apparently a measure to deter staff from running through alcohol without pre-checking age-qualified first!

In case anyone else wasn't aware this is online only - not available in store
Thanks that explains why, despite searching high and low, I couldn't find the offer in store today:(
it is in store they just havent advertised it. if you buy all the products it will be £5
I asked Waitrose via Twitter and they told me it was on line home delivery only - not in store
Lots of people got it instore when I posted the deal. They may have stopped it now.
As previously personally reported in this thread it WAS definitely available in-store and I'd expect the offer to continue to be 100% the same online and in-store, like anything else you see on the Waitrose website, and it's not due to end until Tue 18/4.

Will certainly validate that it's STILL available IN-STORE (for the second time, the first time it showed on in-store receipt as "** Beer Pizza Rings £5 ** -£3.88" ) in the next few days.

If you DO want the deal in-store and don't want to "embarass yourself" by checking it really is discounted at the till, just take the three items to the customer services desk first and get them to do a price-check for you!

T&Cs-
*Offer valid from 20/03/17 to 14/04/17 after 4.30pm Monday to Friday (inclusive).
Is next friday (14th) included as well?
as its bank holiday, wonder if they will still allow this
I do think it includes Good Friday, but they'll probably close earlier so I would check before leaving ☺

not going to take any risks and go on thursday instead.

strangely I went again yesterday (10th visit during offer period, which has coincided with moving house) and was told by cashier at restaurant that all drinks must be consumed in the restaurant.
Strange as only had 4 bottles of presse, previously I've taken dozens and staff haven't said anything.https://www.dropbox.com/s/cu3xxivjf3w9b3s/stash.jpg?dl=0

Hey - I was going to go tonight for this but I can't see any confirmation of the deal on the website. Is this still available?
It is still there on the website, and was working (for my 2nd time) last Friday evening.

eg if you go to their site and Store Locator page
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/store/
and see there are two offers - a Hop in for Easter fun promo and if you click to go right you get the "All the furniture you can eat" with...
"IKEA Restaurant Offer for IKEA FAMILY Members
"Purchase a meal from IKEA Restaurant between 20th March and 14th April after 4.30pm Monday to Friday and redeem your receipt for the amount you spend to use in-store on any home furnishing product (terms and conditions apply)."

ie quite clear it's to close of play Friday 14th April.

Just buy your meal/food/drink/snacks at the restaurant till using a Family Card, then when get to the warehouse till present (a) Family Card (b) Restaurant till receipt to get the cashier to credit the amount off your bill.

Discount even works at the 15 items or fewer self-service tills ("15 items or less" in Ikea non-English speak) as the monitoring cashier will enter the receipt as a coupon for you when asked.

Ah - amazing! Thank you very much, I was just not swiping to the deal when I went to the website! Ikea bound tonight then!

..so what I'd like to know is if I could go again tonight and use the offer as my daughter wants a new bed? Terms and conditions don't really make it very clear?

Yes you can definitely use the offer more than once, it's just limited to one claim per Family Card per day. (I've had two free dinners so far!)

Just be sure to use Family Card both when buying in the restaurant and again at the till when showing your receipt to the cashier.

Had a test drive today and it was a very pleasant experience. We were given drinks on arrival and after the test drive, received our voucher for a £50 gift ecard which doesn't have to be used in one go and can be used at the same time as offers (such as Priority Moments).
Last year we took up the hotel stay offer which was fantastic and never felt pressured or hassled - the opposite if anything.
you don't need to actually buy a car to get the deal though! just test drive one so this is a good deal.

not many meals are cheaper to make than something that is pasta based or a pizza.

I went yesterday and had the 10oz (!) naked burger with bacon, cheese, avacado, fresh onion, tomato and fries and all the lovely home-made, heavily-researched in the States sauces they provide. You should try the iced tea even if you think you don't like it/are scared of it, it's really nice, homemade squeezed-to-order lemonade too. A huge meal, really full at the end, and very very nice staff and environment.

you could always feed your baby fresh food instead of stuff that can sit in a shop for a year
I use the fruit pouches to mix with porridge oats a few times a week for my little boy but I cook most things from scratch as I'm sure other people do as well. A lot of people use convenience food for odd occasions, hardly going to do a child any harm.

I don't see an issue with mixing fruit pouches with the baby porridge. It is purely fruit inside & I'm not going to deny that it's easy to throw one in the changing bag when you're going out. My comment was aimed at the chicken meal. It's good for another 3 months & was probably made last year, That's not the best thing to be feeding your baby.

you could always feed your baby fresh food instead of stuff that can sit in a shop for a year
I use the fruit pouches to mix with porridge oats a few times a week for my little boy but I cook most things from scratch as I'm sure other people do as well. A lot of people use convenience food for odd occasions, hardly going to do a child any harm.
The fruit pouches are great I mix them with porridge oats for my little boy and he loves it, absolute bargain :)

Yes you can swap them, and it will work on the tills- however you may struggle finding the flake ice cream to be honest but worth a gander!
Thanks Its worth a try.

Is the Pizza a Co-op exclusive, is it a rebrand of one of their other pizzas? Never seen it before.
Seen at Tesco today for £3 so not a co-op exclusive
Interesting, priced the same as the Big Cheese Takeaway, I guess it must be quite a new line, it's not even on their site yet.
