Don't see any of that on this post, only idiots trolling who don't have a clue what they are talking about (not aimed at you).
With the same money you could get something like an Oscar Nuova Simonelli and separate grinder giving a far better result and it would last longer...
How does this compare to similar priceed auto delonghi? Genuine question. Mine hasn't set a bean wrong in the few years I've had it...

I'm constantly posting deals and getting absolute sh!t for it constantly, but I just take it on the chin and post the next deal. You have to be thick skinned to accept the criticism. I'm always trying to encourage other people to post more deals, but when I see a deal like this and the fact you save a penny, then I'm sorry but my sarcasm gets the better of me... Maybe I need to sit in a darkened room and think about it.

LOL I know that mate as I've bought most of it (sent the press back to …LOL I know that mate as I've bought most of it (sent the press back to Amazon tho) and some cheap lubes to try my hand at servicing basic winding mechs. I've still not got around to it tho. Another project waiting in line. Mind I did Google the synthetic lubes when I posted and you could get some down in the 3 gram region which was much better than the 10 g IIRC when I had this rush of blood to the head and bought most of the kit I'd need. One day I'll... PS wasn't going to get any fancy cleaning machine. Just Ronsonol (spelling?) and jam jars.

I've also had a go at watch servicing on the many duds I've picked up in various batches at local auction houses and one thing I've found is that watch repair isn't like DIY or replacing parts in your car or washing machine, you really can't YouTube it and feel your way through. The right equipment is a must and some actual motor skills and aptitude are required. It's so easy for a microscopic screw to ping away off your tweezers never to be seen again, well until you next hoover the room, that is.

Respect to any one who makes a go of this!
Got a quinting watch but can't find anyone in the UK who's authorised to work on it. Pain in the behind.

Nothing wrong with these. Yes it's a blatant homage of a Rolex Sub (model 16613), but it's less than 1/100th of the price of the Rolex, it's got a really good, reliable movement, decent build and a classic design. Mine's arriving in the morning.

Hardly testing the watchmaker's skill though is it? And probably £2k …Hardly testing the watchmaker's skill though is it? And probably £2k overpriced.

Well there's quartz and there's "quartz" too - well finished quartz like thermocompensated HEQ is in a different league to your £5 TKMaxx watch. Seiko also do Spring Drive in their Grand Seiko line... and Bulova's tuning fork movements are interesting tech also.

^all of this coming from a mechanical watch lover.

Though for my quartz needs I recently got a Casio pro-trek - at least it does things (compass, thermometer, barometer) that my mechanicals don't (also solar powered and radio controlled so can set my mechanicals to its atomic clock signal).

You can get spring bars from most watchmakers here in the UK, popular …You can get spring bars from most watchmakers here in the UK, popular auction sites sell them too but be sure you get high quality spring bars, look for thickness that will fit inside the band and double collars on the ends, any reputable seller will be more than happy to accommodate you, hope this helps.

The bars are crap but I've had those replaced (three times!) the problem isn't those as much as the collars, which distort frequently and rattle in a way that makes the whole unit feel awfully cheap. That's the problem I'm trying to fix - obviously the collars are effectively bespoke. Is there a sensible replacement that fits this particular watch?
Agree - auto is for me as well. I'm lucky enough to have 2 divers watches. One auto one quartz. If you have a quartz divers watch you should really have it pressure tested when battery replaced IF you intend to swim with it. I sure someone will come out with "waste of time never had a problem replacing mine for 50p it will be ok at 5m etc" Depends on watch value. Mine cost me a months wage each so would never risk a DIY on my Quartz. Anyway this auto watch looks good value and obviously no battery. As someone has already said make sure the crown is screwed in properly before you take a dip. (A pressure test and battery replacement for a premium Quartz can be £40 to£50 JFYI) So £60 for this deal ..worth a punt.
Now £99.99. Glad I didn't hesitate - as an earlier comment said, they rarely remain at this price for long. Looking forward to delivery on Saturday.

They usually mark the package as low value and gift. Never had an issue.Edit - just seen the comment above, didn't know they have changed how they declare their packaging. Will bear this in mind in future....

I bought from them a few months ago. I googled and every result said it’d be fine as they mark the packaging as gift/watch part etc. Once I ordered I realised that all these results were pre-2017. Once I manually dug out some newer threads on watchseek forums it seems Customs just started pulling everything from Creation and most other overseas watch sellers. I guess as a result they know mark the packets accordingly.

I got lucky, in that my watch worked out the same as Amazon with the extra put on. But as above, the days of tax free watches appears to be gone.
collectorcol2 h, 45 m ago

So it's not accurate then?...

Not always about numbers. At one time I had 2 cars and 3 bikes. I still have one of those - a 1978 Moto Guzzi. Not fast. Not powerful. Not good suspension. Loved riding it, the sound, the feel.

I often like to wear old beaters. They will lose 3 min per day but that is just 'the way they are'. I also have a Casio that updates every night - but its a sterile unenjoyable watch. And I don't need to organise my life to within 2 mins usually per day.
collectorcol20 m ago

3 seconds a day would annoy me...[Image]

I was making a joke about 3 days per day, btw. I have some decent omega quartz watches and other cheapos, but I prefer mechanical. The watches I like best are electro-mechanical in the gap between mechanical and quartz. They're the least accurate and reliable, but my favourite.
