This has to be the worst lottery syndicate company’s out there..I played this last year..along with others but when you want to close the account..good luck..& the spam you get from other sites asking you to come and gamble is ridiculous but if you want to put yourself through it..by all means be my guest.
Please put for new members only in the title to stop people wasting their time.
Beware folks, they will want your details and then will phone you with offers of other worldwide lottery tickets...
Shame, new members only.

Find me a gambling company registered in mainland UK ^^.

LottoLand are 'legit' in the form that they are fully insured and will pay any jackpots, still lotteries are a bit of a scam anyway.

LottoLands the cheapest I've seen for playing other countries jackpots though.

How their system works (from a comment made on their website)
At Lottoland you are not buying official lottery tickets, rather you are betting on the outcome. For the player this usually works out the same as if you had bought an official lottery ticket. The odds are the same as are the prizes if you win. The price of a ticket is also usually similar depending on the the currency exchange rate and the cost of insuring that lottery.

If you win, you win what you would had you bought an official ticket. This has a few important ramifications. First it affects how you split a prize. If you win and no one else on the official lottery wins you are treated as the sole winner and would take 100% of the pot to yourself. If 1 person wins the official lottery and you win, then you are treated as if you were the 2nd winner and you would claim 50% of the pot. And so on. So there could indeed be hundreds of people becoming multimillionaires splitting the jackpot but it is highly, highly unlikely unless perhaps a very popular lottery combination were the winning numbers.

Secondly, the amount of prize money you pay and how you are paid depends on which country runs the official lottery. For European lotteries like EuroMillions, Eurojackpot, SuperEnaLotto etc you will win 100% lump sum since most European countries do not tax gambling winnings. For US lotteries like Powerball or Mega Millions you would take the prize as an annuity, paid out over 29 years and subtracting 35% tax (this is an average as state taxes vary from state to state). While we understand some people may see this as unfair, it is no different from what you would recieve buying an official lottery ticket - Powerball and Mega Millions set their advertised jackpot figures based on taking the prize as an annuity (which results in overall less tax).

For the vast majority of prizes the money will be paid out of Lottoland profits as a normal part of business operations. However, when jackpot starting reaching the hundreds of millions in GBP we must use insurance companies in order to underwrite such large amounts of money. This is why for the recent Powerball draw for example our ticket price was continually rising. The insurance companies put up their premiums with the size of the jackpot and the liklihood of someone winning (depending on tickets sold) so Lottoland must also increase out ticket prices or lose money on every ticket sold. This is the one instance where buying an official ticket would be much cheaper, however for most lotteries buying an official ticket means being physically present in that country or state to both buy your ticket and collect your prize.

Lotteries like Powerball which still sell physical tickets can also run out or lead to hour long queues when there is a high demand, as happened in the United States for the $billion jackpot. If you doubled the jackpot and won £2 billion for example, you would win that whole amount, paid for by the insurance companies, although usually our insurance premiums for such a high amount would be so astronomical Lottoland would shut off the Double Jackpot feature as we did for the Powerball jackpot.

It is a euromillions lottery ticket.

Nope, as the info I cut & pasted from the site says, it is not a euromillions lottery ticket; it is a bet against the outcome of the euromillions lottery.

From their "About us" page:

Lottoland has been operating since March 2012, providing a lotto betting service for thousands of customers from across Europe and around the world.

Here at Lottoland we allow you to bet on the outcomes of the biggest and most popular lotto games all over the world from UK Lotto, EuroMillions to America’s giant jackpots of the MegaMillions & PowerBall.

SCAMMERS! Stay away from that mafia. Who are these people?!
WHEN TAKING YOUR PAYMENT THEY DON'T ASK YOU FOR ID, but after you win, you will receive an email that you have to provide ID and PROOF OF ADDRESS. !!!???
They give you 2 days for that. Does not matter if you click if you are over 18.
I guess they must copy your identity and God knows maybe applying for credit cards, loans etc
Or if you win they will just get straight away to your account or just stole your house, or worse, who knows, this society is so corrupted.
I wanted to withdraw my money that I paid for ticket, first I was promised to do that and then I was told NO.
But after even more than a month and closing my account they were still happy to get my ID COPY and ADDRESS as a proof of MERCY! Stay away people!
Since signing up to Lottoland, apart from the spam text and email I have also started to receive calls on my mobile from 'No caller ID'. I answered 1 of the calls and was asked who I was (they should know as they called me!), I foolishly said my name and said 'I think you have the wrong number.' and ended the call. It sounded like the call was from a call centre as I heard other people chatting in the background as if they were in a call and there was a second or so wait before the call connected and while I cannot confirm it was Lottoland for certain, as they didn't say, they are the only company to have my mobile number apart from What's app and my network provider. I am very selective to who has my number but of course signing up to Lottoland a valid mobile phone number was required. I have had this number for several years and never had a problem with cold calls before this week. Not even spam text. Hence I think Lottoland is the culprit. They've tried ringing a few times now but I have no intentions of answering their calls. I just wanted to let others know and see if anybody else has similar calls? Maybe it was because I actually closed my account and they want to know what they can do to keep me etc. They can't. Even more so after reading posts like desired.value's.

If you are reading this and tempted to sign up to Lottoland use a secondary number and email at least should you have one.

I apologise, it turns out I was wrong. What I said about the £1.50 charge wasn't a fabrication. It was an honest mistake, the coincidental timing led me to believe that it was Lottoland. Another company sent me a premium rate text message I hadn't agreed to receive. I wonder if Lottoland sold on my information? It is funny that the spam text happened the day after I signed up to Lottoland. Because I have never had a spam text problem like this before! I agree with PoiSoN's post, companies like yours do sell on information. When signing up you don't give us the option to opt out of such dealings.

Edited by: "NUMBER8GAMESTER" 22nd Mar 2014
I've just deleted my account as they sent spam email even though my preferences were set to receive no marketing email. I even reset the option to receive no email and still received another some hours later. I hate companies that don't listen to my marketing preferences and personally, I don't trust companies who continue to spam me with what they do with my personal details. Probably sell them on to other marketing companies. They also sent two spam text messages to my mobile which I forward to 7726. Hopefully this stops now that I closed my account. Companies like Lottoland should be fined for spam.

As for what NUMBER8GAMESTER says, I am on pay as you go and didn't notice a decrease in balance from the spam texts they sent. I didn't reply STOP or anything in fact I just forwarded the text as I said to 7726 to report it as spam.
