The price normally goes up and down by £10 around the £450 mark but at £398.99 it's the cheapest I've ever seen it from laptopoutlet. All the top specs from 2018 and you also get a… Read more

It was second hand, and the guy o got it from damaged the battery when he tried to put a new phone back on (different colour), since it was second hand and the twit already opened it, no chance of warranty!. Either way I changed the battery, and the phone life is ok, it lasts me for what I need, it doesn't give a good indication of capacity and fast charging is very very useful when busy.

Odd you had to replace battery so quickly Sorry to hear about that, maybe you need to let them know what's happening

Same here, enjoying my g7, although it's been a bit quirky since changing battery, not charging quick (always under 1a, tried QC and PD nothing works!) and misreporting battery percentage even after 40 charges!.

Yep, self-inflicted mistakes/unforced errors cost them dear. However, I'm taking great pleasure on my G7, rate it as highly as my P20, even preferring LG's UI by some distance, let alone sound. Battery life on Huawei very good though, aggressive memory management, G7 uses too much memory. Of course P20 is not QHD and downgrading resolution on LG is possible for better battery life, but I still doubt it can match Huawei. I might even upgrade in future to V40 as good deals now started to become available, V40 seems to take it up another gear.

Thier sales are way down and they could have been doing much better, simple silly decisions like that have cost them dearly and it was obviously clear it could only be bad. For me it's a matter of too little too late. Not sure if I can still go LG next time around.. especially with Thier LG G8 shenanigans, they even permanently glued the battery in!. The mind boggles!

I don't think so. Based on my experience with LG G7 these devices should excel. Even though I have Huawei mate 20X, ASUS ROG PHONE, SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 9, IPHONE XS MAX and a HTC 10.

Sorry put the question mark before you said you had the g7. Havent used a lg in years

Sorry that was my unconscious bias even though I do not own LG device.

Had the g4 didnt mind it to be honest just tried out other phone makers and didnt go back to lg. The chinese stuff thats getting popular will be hard on lg these days id imagine.

Looking good for this model, specs are pretty sharp for the money. It does come with a free LG Bluetooth speaker as well. It's been cheaper a little while back for the phone alone,… Read more

Hi thanks for the helpful replies.

Laptop Outlet are one of the authorised online retailers - https://www.lg.com/uk/products/wtb?modelId=MD06066236&subModelId=MD06066237&returnFlag= The V40 from them will be covered by LG UK. I was told by LG UK that any variant of the LMV405EBW model of the V40 is covered but they can't guarantee some of the parts can be shipped in for the variant you have. If it's the UK variant of the LMV405EBW (LMV405EBW.AGBRWU) then they will source all the parts needed to repair it.

Hi thanks best to make sure with all the international models being sold.

No problem registering mine online for 2 year warranty (and yes it's dual sim).

Hi, a quick question for anyone who has bought this phone from Laptop Outlet. Have you tried to register it with LG UK 24 months WArranty. I've contacted LG who say dual sim LG V40 phones are international imports which they cannot cover. Thanks for any help.

Wow from where did you buy the V30 for that price?

If it's anything like the V30 the audio recording should be fantastic too. I'm a professional classical musician and have colleagues who have the V30 and we're all incredibly impressed by the audio recording, especially with acoustic instruments, the level of detail that it captures is really impressive both at very soft and very very high dynamics. My colleague also took it to a rock gig and again it performed brilliantly. The audio recording in video is also wonderful. The latency is up their with the best too if you want to do any midi/DAW stuff. If there's still any hanging around I'm really tempted.

(lol) Not a bad idea actually :p

Shipped with 8.1 in all markets, being updated to 9, already in US

Nice to see a uk seller selling this for a good price now, over £600 from most other UK sellers with proper warranty. Triple Shot Capture the Moment: One Click, Three Pics W… Read more

Or more, it's 5G. For once, I think spending £600+ on a phone is a good idea. Future-proofing + good hardware, only downside lack of updates as it's Korean version, but someone very sophisticated will surely be able to flash Lineage in couple of years

Ah, but a uk price will be £800 (shock)

Best price for one of these I've found, especially with 2 years lg warranty. Was planning to stick to a budget of about £300 ish but this is tempting me!

Hasn't effected me too much, just bought a G7 with the eBay deal! Yeah, if I had that SD card, a 64gb one with UK warranty would be what I go for

How has that affected you? Can't say I've noticed on my G4. (Which I bought for the camera) I'm looking at this 64gb rather than the cheaper ebay 128gb grey import because I just bought a V30 512gb microSD so I don't think I'll miss the extra 64gb.

Yeah, that's my only concern with LG.

Nice audio hardware. Shame about the mediocre software updates

I think it's about halfway between the G7 and G8. Design and processor closer to the G7, camera and screen closer to G8.
